Ryan's Pov:
"Where are the slaves?" I asked Liam as I proceeded to where I was going. It is almost dawn and I need to arrive at the onslaught pack with my warriors and alongside Liam.
"They will soon be here," He answered back, not sooner than the word left his lips I noticed three slaves walk in through the gate.
"Here they are," turning back, Liam announced. I veered around as my cold expression slipped into its space frightening the slaves.
"Our king," bending down, they greeted me submissively.
"Stand…." I commanded, and they complied immediately before I uttered "I don't have all day so we will move straight to the point….." They nodded their heads at me.
"I heard that you people were abducted together with the mystery girl," I blurted, earning a nod from them.
"Good!" I mumbled, "Since you people have stayed together for a long time, I believe that you people will know her a bit……" they nodded again.
"So one of you should speak up and tell me anything about the mystery girl and how we could tame her down to avoid her attacking others….." I said with a cold voice when glancing at them to speak up. They spare one another glance, battling on who to speak up.
"I have no time to waste….." I screeched, and they flinched back when shrinking in fear.
"Despite staying with her for long, none of us know her name," one of the slaves complain.
"Don't worry about that, I know her name, Juliana….." I muttered, he nodded as I mentioned for him to continue. Liam was standing beside me as the warriors used that chance to get anything that could be needed in order.
"She is stubborn but nice and kind," he expressed.
"Excuse me!" My brow knitted in confusion. Liam gazes at me with confusion, he too seems lost with what the man just said.
"How can that monster be kind and nice?" I asked with a frightening tone.
"She doesn't seem happy about it when we get bullied," he countered.
"When you people get bullied," I repeat with difficulty.
"Yes! We were being abducted by those men…….. They treat us like we meant nothing but she always comes through for us especially her friend, Ariana," he blurted.
"A friend," I mumbled.
"Ariana," Liam mumbled out the word.
"Yes, she had a friend……. The woman is old but they still stick together," he mumbled sadly.
"Old but still together….." I murmured before focusing my attention back on him.
"So where is the woman now?" I asked.
"She is dead," he uttered with a painful expression.
"How! She killed her, right?" I questioned.
"No!" He protests.
"Yes, she did," another slave chipped in and muttered with a lower tone but I heard him.
"She killed her, right?" I asked the second slave.
"Yes, she did, my king," he nodded.
"She didn't stop laying a false accusation on the poor girl," the previous one glared at his colleague.
"Poor girl," I snapped.
"That she had been attacking the packs and causing a lot of people their lives," I fume in anger.
"She is a monster and deserves to die," the second insists as the third one nods in approval.
"My king, please she didn't kill her friend…. She transformed just to save her friend from being hurt by those men, so tell me how she can be able to kill the one behind her reasons for changing," the previous slave glared at the other slaves.
"But she died when trying to save our lives," the third muttered and glared at the first with the same energy. Liam kept throwing the previous man a heated glare, he stared at him with a scowled expression. Straightening myself, I chuckled firmly before I looked at him with disgust and anger.
"That demon girl deserves nothing but death," I lashed out at him. He cowered back in fear.
"My king, I was just……
"Shut the fuck up!!" I yelled, with panic and hopeless eyes he stared back at me. His other colleagues glanced at him with frowns and sympathy.
"You went ahead to lay support for an enemy……. What does that make you?" I glared as I grabbed a handful of his shirt, with anger and wrath I growled at him.
"I am sorry, my king but it is……
" Shut up! You idiot," he whimpered in my hold as he watched my eyes turn darker changing into my wolf form, they seem dreadful and scary. The other slaves shift uncomfortably in fear. Sensing that I am about to lose it, Liam rushed toward me.
"Hey, Alpha….. Calm down," he mumbled with a tender tone while still glaring at the slave in my grip.
"You need to let him go, we are supposed to be somewhere right now," he uttered, snapping me back to my senses. Closing my eyes, I sighed before shoving him away to the floor.
"Uhmm," falling to the ground the slave grunted out as the other slaves rushed towards him. He tried to catch up his breath.
"Just calm down and breath," the slaves said to him.
Ignoring them with my eyes still shut, I curled up my fists. I don't know why I attacked him unknowingly, he did nothing. Yes! He did a bad thing by supporting and saying good things about her but I didn't forcefully grip his shirt because of that.
I hate the feelings within me, the idea that I longed to meet her……. The idea that I felt delighted with what the slave said and that she is nice and good, I hate it that I feel something for that MONSTER! Why am I like this? Why am I feeling like this? I have never felt like this for anybody before, not even with Bianca.
This felt different though I felt this peaceful sensation when I say her name, I always feel a certain pull towards her. My nails crawl deep into my palms as I feel the pain shoot through me. I know that this is her doing for me to fall for her but hell no! I won't do that. I will have her killed with my damn sword, I murmured to myself with grit teeth.
"You okay?" Placing his hand on my shoulder, Liam asked. With determination, I coldly snapped my eyes open. Turning toward Liam I motioned for us to leave, with pain, confusion, and anger I strode out of the place.
