Juliana's Pov:
Standing beside the shore, I stared back at my reflection on the water. My long flowy pink hair is now black, it has a mind-night color and tumbled over my shoulder stopping at my neck level. The old witch surely changed my appearance, I now looked different but still, I am looking breathtaking. It seems like the beauty will always remain there though I can't compare now with then.
I swallowed hard, I know that right now that I won't be a suspect. No one will know that I am the wanted mystery girl that has brought misfortune to our realm, I missed Heaven but I need to make a sacrifice if I ever want to leave. "I hope she understands……" I mumbled sadly to myself. Right now, I have no wolf since Heaven has been suppressed. She also helped me to mask my scent, I can't thank her enough.
It seems that our path crossed for a reason, I smiled tenderly before turning away from the shore and striding inside the woods. I believe that by now that many packs will accept me since I didn't look anything like my old self. With a determined look, I started walking looking for a nearby pack to fit in and start my life from the beginning. Striding with a smile and joyous lips, I kept murmuring silent music on my lips while I heard a rustling sound from behind.
My heart heaved up and down, but I ignored the sound despite how scared and afraid I looked. Walking around, I can still hear those sounds…… it is like footsteps and the person making those sounds is fucking following me from behind, I can feel a presence behind me. My palms have started sweating, my heart is unrest. I know that whatever is behind me is not a pleasant thing. I feared to turn around despite hearing the footsteps approaching me.
My breath got stuck in my throat as I felt whatever was at my back growl dangerously startling me, my eyes grew wide as it dawned on me. "A wolf" I mumbled with difficulty and panic.
Instantly veering around, I stumbled and fell to the ground, I stared with shock as a black huge wolf stridden dangerously towards me. I couldn't do anything, I didn't have any wolf and so couldn't transform. My heart beat very fast, I felt the blood drain out of my body. My eyes started tearing up as I watched the wolf bared out his canines, tears rolled down my cheeks as my lips trembled. I was shivering and at the same time paralyzed, I was screwed despite changing my identity and appearance.
This minute I regretted sealing Heaven or the cursed power, so this is how I am going to die? My body shuddered in dismay and fear. I felt vulnerable, sadness and pain shimmered across my eyes. With predatory steps, the wolf kept inching closer and closer to me. My subconscious screamed for me to get up and run but I couldn't make a move and running was the worst part because he could catch me within a twinkle of an eye.
"Ple…… please," the word trembled out of my lips, I sounded weak and scared.
"Huuuuu!!" He growled dangerously as his nose flared up in anger. What did I do to anger him? Maybe he doesn't like been begged, I regret ever sealing the power or suppressing the only person that could have saved me out of this trap and mess **Heaven.
I slowly started crawling back with uneasiness and tension, his predatory eyes fixed on my every move.
"Hhhh!!" He growled frightening me, he horrified me. More tears rolled down from my eyes wetting my cheeks, why is it that bad omen always find me? Am I bound to never experience happiness, why is the moon goddess so cruel? I thought that I am free but I was only hallucinating, I am in for the worst part. I am now wolfless and couldn't defend myself which is the most important thing. Though I despised the mysterious powers, I was able to protect myself against any harm or attack but right now I couldn't say the same.
"Hhhh!!" He kept flaring his nose up in anger and fury. The woods are quiet and I know that I am trapped here alone with this scary wolf, I can smell it. He is a rogue and from what I heard about rogues they are merciless and brutal. Not all because I was a rogue but most of them are violent and vicious and was warned never to cross paths with them if you ever wished to live to witness another day in your life. But unlucky me, I have crossed paths with one of them which I knew wasn't going to end well. Even after changing my blood was still going to splash on the ground.
Sensing how close he seemed…… I shut my eyes with my fists clenched tight and waited for the worst. After some minutes, I didn't feel anything around me. I couldn't feel any canine piercing into my neck or my head slashed. Swallowing as I contemplated on whether to snap my eyes open or not, my heart leaped out of my body as I heard a terrifying growl which shook the whole woods. The birds swarm away immediately, I could feel a powerful aura beside me.
Snapping my eyes open with force, I watched with terror as a handsome man, more like a Greek god changed into his Lycan form and jumped in front of me. Shielding me from the angry wolf, the wolf started retracting back with an angry howl.
Shaking in fear and panic with my whole body trembling in fear, I watched with shock as the Lycan jumped over the wolf and bit his neck off, splashing his blood on the dry leaves there. The wolf was surely dead, my breath inched as the Lycan instantly swirled his head towards my direction with blood dripping out of his mouth and his long canine in total display.
