Juliana's Pov:
We arrived at the black storm pack, the guards rushed and pulled the giant black gate wide for him to drive in. My heart kept throbbing fast within, I sat nervously in the passenger seat while fiddling with my fingers. I stared out at the widow, there were many guards at every corner.
"Wow!" I exclaimed with a surprised look as he drove inside, he spared me a quick look before turning his attention back to the road. He has a smirk on his lips, my eyes shone brightly and I have a flush of excitement on my pale cheeks. The pack looked incredible more than the way people described it, the place is so inviting and mesmerizing. I continued staring around and I didn't know when our truck stopped moving. Noticing that I have been staring at one spot for a while now, I turned to him with an angry brow to know why he stopped the car.
"Why did you stop?" I curiously muttered.
"We have reached our destination," he said. When trying to suppress his laugh.
Why is he laughing? What is so funny here?
"Fine! Stop giving me that look, it seems like you were admiring the whole place that you didn't know that we have reached," he teased.
I rolled my eyes at him "How can I know that we have arrived when I haven't been to this place?"
"But I have been talking to you but you just ignored me. Could I say you didn't hear me because of this……" using his head he pointed at the outside with a smug across his face, I so much wanted to wipe out the smug on his face. He sucks! Gosh, such a dummy.
"Whatever!" I said clearly, annoyed.
"You coming down," amidst his laugh, he asked when pulling the door open.
"I am coming," I muttered.
"My mom will be waiting and other family friends, you need to come so that I can introduce you to them," he said, making me nervous.
His family and friends, this is so scary and at the same time draining. I don't think that I am ready to meet anybody now, I am obviously not ready for any interaction with any single soul. I was carried away with the beauty of the pack that I didn't hear what the warriors addressed him with. I know that he is a person of a higher rank, maybe a beta or a gamma…….. Something tells me that his mom or so-called friend will not be that fond of me, they may be rigorous and harsh.
"You're not coming down," he sounds serious this time around.
"Hmm……. I think I prefer it here," I gave him a nervous smile.
He stared at me as if I had lost it, "This is a goddamn car, Ashley….."
"I know but I love the comfy and everything here, you know," I said with a phony smile. He sighed and looked away, how am I to tell him that I am scared of meeting his mom or anybody? I have never been loved since my existence and I have developed this phobia of not knowing how to interact with people. I am damn tired of trying to fit onto people's good side.
"Come on, Ashley…… please I can't keep my mom hanging, she wants to see me," his eyes softened and gleamed as they pleadingly gazed at me holding me in one spot. I couldn't resist his sweet pleas and stunning eyes so I nodded and gave in within a minute.
A striking smile slipped across his face before he quickly hopped out of the truck and rushed towards my side and pulled the door open for me. I swallowed hard, holding his hand, I alighted from the truck. I could still feel the sparkles and with the way he stares at me I know that he feels the same but I ignored the weird feeling and focused on the arching pain in my heart and screaming of my subconscious for me to squat his hands away and run from this pack. I hope that I am doing the right thing.

Walking through the passage, I noticed how people bow slightly at him before throwing me a weird and disgusted look. The stares I was getting from them didn't settle well with me, so I did the only thing on my mind at this time by disentangling our hands. The sudden absence of his touch makes my hands feel cold which confuses me on why I still crave his touch. He swallowed and pretended like he didn't notice what happened before shoving his hands inside his pant pocket. He kept following different turns at the same time and I complied instantly, to keep up with his steady steps I didn't get the time to admire the interior of the place.
We halted at a black iron door, and my heart started throbbing so fast that I could hear the sound. At some point, I thought that it was going to jump out from my chest based on how rapidly and quickly it was throbbing. He stares at me before muttering "You ready….?" I nodded in response before he pushed the door open.
Stepping inside the room, all eyes were on us. They have a powerful aura. Their cold eyes pierced directly at me which made me want to shrink back and hide behind him. I still didn't even know his name but that is not an issue because I am flicking out already. None of them had a smile on their faces, my legs started getting weaker as we strode inside the room. The guards there stared at me with disgust and if I am not mistaken almost all of them had their eyes fixed on me at one spot with a look of irritation they bore their eyes at me. I yelled within for the ground to open and swallow me up but it looks like at this moment that the ground also has an ear of its own because it seems like I am alone in this one.
All alone with no one to run unto, or to comfort me. It was as if I was in a den full of wild creatures waiting for an opportunity to strike and devour me.
