Ryan's pov:
"We heard that the mystery wolf attacked a forbidding pack recently," trying to catch up with my footsteps, Liam said.
"A forbidding pack," I repeated his words before sparing him a quick glance.
"Not actually!"
"It was a hiding pack…….. More like it was formed by human traffickers," he explained with uneasiness.
I swallowed before looking elsewhere, how am I to tell Liam that I kissed his cousin's sister….. That I almost fuck his sister a minute ago, he doesn't deserve that shit mehh. He is damn loyal and nice and I want to pay him up like this by having an affair with his kid sister.
"You okay," his words snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Ye…..yes, of course," I mumbled with uneasiness and tension.
"But you don't seem alright to me," he complained. I am not surprised, Liam knew me too well but I am not going to let the cat out of the bag. I am not going to tell him about me and Bianca, I believe it won't sit well with him.
"Come on bro, I am good, just had a lot in my mind right now," I laugh it out, I just pray he doesn't push it further.
"Fine! If you say so," he mumbled with a shrug. I gave him a small smile before murmuring silent praise to the moon goddess and a sign of the cross. I know that what I am doing is not fine but I promise to explain it to him at the right time. I could explain things but it is just that I don't dare to face him right now and besides, we are in the middle of a sensitive matter which doesn't require a distraction.
"So what are you saying about the invasion of the mystery wolf on those……..
"But wait!!" I exclaimed with a surprised look.
"Do we have human traffickers around here?" I asked with shock.
"Yes, they are two…… one was attacked and the other was still safe for now," he said.
"Where are the two located?" I questioned. I can't believe that a lot has been happening under my nose yet I didn't even know. This is terrible and a disgrace to the royal blood.
"The attacked one was discovered at the deep part of the forest beside a huge cliff," he explained.
"We only have one huge cliff……. So that means it was located around a black mountain pack?" I asked, he nodded at me in approval before I motioned for him to continue as we proceeded to where we were going.
"The other one was in the human world," I snapped my head at him. "Human world….." I sound surprised.
"That's fucking far!" I exclaimed with shock. Gosh, those traffickers went damn far, they sell off our kinds to the humans for their silly reasons.
"Yeah! But we have tracked them down," he muttered.
"Good! You did an excellent job," patting his shoulder, I compliment earning a smile from him. My face saddened as I glanced at him, he sure is a good guy. I can't bear to lose him or his trust just because of what I did with Bianca.
"You okay?" He asked again.
"Yeah, more than fine, bro," I lied.
"But your face gives it away," he voiced.
"Yeah! Just thinking how all those were able to happen without my notice," I instantly came up with something to cover up.
"Yeah, I didn't know that much was happening," he laughed. Stopping at my track, I pulled the door to my study open and walked in with Liam.
"So what about the outrun pack?" I asked him as I pulled out my chair to sit.
"I heard that she destroyed the place……. A lot of souls were gone," he muttered with sadness and anger.
"The wolf is surely getting to us!" I grit my teeth in anger.
"But a slave from there protests that she was good and meant no harm," Liam mumbled, at his word my heart flared up with excitement. What the fuck is going on? How could I be happy about that? Hell no!....... Put yourself together Ryan.
"How is that even possible?" My brow caressed in anticipation of what he had to say.
"According to the slave, she had stayed with them for weeks now and hasn't caused a problem…….. He also informed us that the mystery girl was just outraged with the way the guards there treated her friend," Liam uttered.
"A friend…… She also had a friend, so monsters do have friends,"
"Interesting!" I scoffed.
"How many slaves did you people interrogate?" My face turned ice cold.
"Just this one," he says.
"One is not enough, Liam," I protested.
"We need three or four….." I state with desperation.
"There is no time Liam, whatever we are doing we need to speed up and put an end to all these things,"
"It might cost our lives but yeah, we need to prepare," I said.
"Because it is obvious that the cursed girl is manipulative and cunny……. There is no way that you are to tell me that she turns out to be all good all of a sudden," I said with a scowl expression.
"But the man said that she helped them escape," Liam said.
"Yes!" I instantly bang my hand on the table causing Liam to quickly flinch back. "That's what I have been saying, that girl is manipulative and evil……. She wants us to think that she is all good so that she could send us to our downfall! To our early grave,"
"No way!!" I loudly exclaimed.
"But why is she cursed because I still can't wrap all this around my head, it sounds like a dream to me?" Taking a seat in front of me, he questioned.
"Is not a dream but a reality, Liam," I stressed.
"I heard that years ago that her mother committed a lot of adultery and I think that her daughter Is suffering for her evil deeds," I clarified.
"But her mother committed it, not her," Liam said with confusion.
"The moon goddess knows the best and besides I heard that she was the reason behind the sudden death of her mother….. So nothing good comes from her," going through some files on my desk, I muttered.
"This is strange because nobody has ever possessed that kind of power before in the whole werewolf realm, not even the witches or sorcerers," Liam expressed with shock and confusion.
"Yes, and that is what makes her a curse," I declare.
"Please enough of her past, we need to find her and make this whole thing a history," I grumbled.
"Go instruct my warriors to get ready for we will be visiting the place the incident took place before dawn tomorrow," I command.
"And arrange for three to four slaves to meet me early tomorrow before I leave the palace," I instruct Liam who nodded his head in approval.
The next full moon celebration is coming, and I want to have her killed under my sword before then. I want to use her blood as a sacrifice to cleanse our realm from her misfortune and evil power. Her head will be dang on the execution field for the remembrance of the mystery wolf as his carcass will be fed to the vultures.
