Juliana's Pov:
My heart breaks at her word, she called me a monster. She was the last person that I expected to foul mouth me, I didn't create myself like this! Why all these hurtful words? I took her like a mother figure, I saw the mother that I wanted in her but I was just hallucinating because she had joined the crew in bad-mouthing me.
"Please, keep running," Carter's men kept shouting as they kept pushing the slaves inside a truck but most of them kept running towards the gate.
"Master!!!!" They kept calling for their boss on what to do.
"Tie her down and help these dirty things inside the truck!" Carter yelled.
"We can't lose any one of them because of this deadly monster here," he instructed harshly.
"Strike now!!"
His men started shooting me with bows and arrows mixed with fire. Some of the slaves kept throwing stones my way, and his men uses the atlatl with a light javelin as they project it into the air towards my direction. All hitting me yet I didn't move or budge. I have my eyes fixed on Ariana, the pain in my eyes was not mistaken. She hurts my feelings! She betrayed me. She joined the crowd in hating me, she has a similar story to mine just that I am a monster like they said. I let out a terrifying cry, my heart heaves up and down in anger and bitterness. She crushes my heart, my heart is bleeding but all she could do is call me names. The sounds from my cries reverberate through the whole woods.
"She is a monster! She deserves to die," Ariana screamed at the top of her voice. That small word from her was enough to outrage the demon within me.
"Take more!!" Carter shouted as he kept bringing in many weapons from their warehouses to his men. Catapults, stone tip slings, spears, polearms, axes, and swords. Nobody dares to take the sword or hand-to-hand weapon from him as they scare inching closer to me.
Why does every single person curse and hate me? Her words pierced deeply inside my heart as an enormous light struck the ground. The earth was seen wigging, as their cries and screams kept vibrating in my ear like tiny music. I seemed massive and powerful as my rows of sharp teeth and tentacles expanded with a coat of thick armor. My mouth expands as my teeth and strong jaw can just be seen as deadly as the color of my eyes. My expanded mouth has venom, dripping saliva, and bad breath coming out of it.
I stood upright as I stared at them with my red eyes and a pale and wrinkly face. I peeped around the crowds as all that could be seen was my pointy hairs as pointed as one hundred knives. I use my eye to scan the whole place in search of Ariana, I can smell scared, afraid, panic, and fear around the whole place. I seriously didn't want or plan on hurting anyone but Ariana's words boil my heart. My emotions are slowly getting the best of me. I wanted to save her from this ungodly man who was beating and making a mockery of her but instead of thanking me, she joined the crew in cursing and wishing for my death.
I let out a murderous whimper as I bear out my fangs, my brow drawer out in anger as resentment flashes in my eyes. I kept inching toward them with a determined look.
"Go away!!!" The crowds or could I say the slaves, kept screaming.
"What are you guys waiting for? Shoot!!!!" Carter screamed at the top of his voice. As gunshots were heard with arrows and bows piercing into my skin but none of them slowed me down.
Reaching almost to his men, my redshot eye glared at the one by my right. He threw away his weapon instantly as his body shivered in fear. My nose flared up as smoke erupts out of it.
"Hmm….. Plea….se," with trembling lips, he muttered. Inching closer to him, I felt one of his men run towards me with a sharp silver blade. The sharpness of the sword twinkled my eyes as I suddenly shifted my attention from the other guy and it focused on the one running toward me. He thought that my mind wasn't there and before he could strike, I gripped him and lifted him higher. My grip tightened around his neck as I sled him around before tossing him away, his head hitting the stone there and he fell unconscious.
Seeing what just happened, the other of his remaining men quietly dropped their weapons with their eyes wide open and their mouths making an O shape, they turned around and ran for their lives.
"Stop running, and attack that thing!" Carter commanded but none of his men spares him any glance.
"You might as well go and do it by yourself," one of his men shouted at him.
"How dare you shout at me!!" Lunging for his throat. I buffle with smoke erupting from my mouth.
"Don't you dare touch him!!" His other men threatened as they looked around for where to escape to.
"Go help him!! Go help him!!!" The slaves kept shouting for their men to fight back.
"SHUT UP!" They yelled at them.
"Ahhh!!!" Carter screamed as he came rushing towards me, I slightly pushed him as he fell unconscious. He fell looking knocked out. His men scarily glanced at each other before they rushed towards me at once. I hit my paws on the ground wiggling and causing the ground to shake and swing around with them feeling dizzy. The air swirls around as it carries each one of them and tosses them to God knows where.
The slaves screams in terror as they watched their warriors slashed to death. They looked frightened and in pain.
Ariana stood up and pick up a knife and started approaching me, the other slaves kept calling and urging her to stop but she refused.
"I am like an elder here, and I am bound to protect the lives of these innocent and fragile ones here…….. So I will kill you!!!" Lunging for my throat, I fought within as I shifted, running toward me she twisted her ankle, fell and hit her head on the stone, and passed out instantly. I stood there paralyzed not knowing what to do or how to react to her death. Despite her words, I don't plan on hurting her but to save her and others.
I squatted down and placed my hands almost to her nose to know if she was still breathing but hell no! She is already dead, as I felt something damp and liquid coming out from behind her head, her blood. I shook my head in pain as I stared back at the shivering slaves. These people need to go and leave this drenched environment. Glancing at the entrance gate that was being closed with an iron rod, with my eyes narrowed, a tiny striking light erupted out of my eyes and struck at the rod hard. The gate fell off as the place was wide open. I stared at the slaves and pick up Ariana's corpse and took to my heels.
I opened the gate for them to escape, reaching the top of the cliff, I stared down as I noticed enormous water flowing under it. I looked up to the sky and then at Ariana's corpse in my hands before jumping out of the cliff deep inside the water.
