The word kept echoing in the whole place by the pack members as they anticipated Juliana's death. Taking a sharp breath, Juliana tried to fight back her tears. The sharpness of the blade pierced deeper and deeper into her delicate skin. She knew that the pain is going to leave a lasting scar on her neck, she looks unstable and vulnerable. Slowly lifting her head she noticed Lucien trying to raise the sword after gradually nodding to the angry crowd that it is now time.
Smirking devilishly, Lucien puts forward the sword to cut off her head when a massive thunderstorm was quickly heard as the whole place got shaken, and enormous lighting was striking the ground as everyone tried hiding for safety. Lucien was instantly taken inside for his safety, a mild wind was seen lifting Juliana to the air as the lighting collided with the silver chain that held her hands and feet, it was breaking free as Juliana was tossed to the other side of the road far away from the bright moon pack.
Falling to the ground, she quickly stood up as an unexpected strength and courage arose within her. She kept running to avoid being caught, rain was seen bathing her cheeks washing down the dried blood out of her face and body as she ran for her life not that she never wished for death but dying in the hands of her mate is something that she didn't want to experience. It was finally dawn as she was seen still running through the woods, running through unknown roads. Jumping over some obstacles blocking her part as some pieces of gravel and stones kept piercing her feet, with dirty covering all over her toes and some leaf and dirty particles sticking to her leg but that never stopped her from running rather it motivated her to run more, she wanted to run in her human form as she wanted to ease the uncertainties within her body and some fresh air as she felt herself choking. The rain was getting heavier as her sobs were heard in the quiet woods, only her sobs and sounds of the rain were heard. She couldn't continue again as she felt tired and weak, her legs hurt but she kept pushing herself despite knowing that Lucien and his men couldn't find her again. She stumbled and fell into the muddy water, swimming herself out, she was tired and fell to the ground unconscious.
Waking up she finds herself in a moving truck, fear kicks into her stomach as she thought she has finally been caught by Lucien and his men but she knew that there is no way that Lucien nor his men could make it to her. She was far away from the bright moon pack, and even if Lucien and his men tried looking for her they couldn't have found her so easily besides, he couldn't trace her with the mate bond because their tie had been severed.
Then if it wasn't Lucien, who is this? And why is she inside a moving truck with her hands tied to the truck rails? Confusion overwhelmed her as she tried to figure out where she was and who could have abducted her. What if it was Lucien that had found me? fear creeping inside her as she thought that Lucien had found her.
"No!!..... It can't be possible," wiggling her head in a disapproved manner she muttered.
"The moon goddess won't allow this pain to present itself again," she cried out…..
The mere thought of dying under the sword of her mate still frightened her, the pain of watching your best friend more like a sister to you went in to get the sword that could be used to wipe you out the four corners of this world and your mate the one the moon goddess has honored and blessed you with being the one to take away your life. The thought of that weakens Juliana, smiling bitterly tears spurt out of her eyes down to her face wetting her cheeks. As the car threw a gallop her head got hit by the side of the truck rails.
"Fuck!!......." She painfully whispered as her head got smashed to the rail again, biting her tongue she fought to suppress her pain and tears. Due to the constant gallop, Juliana knew that they were entering deeper inside the wood, an unknown place. She suddenly felt skittish as panic overwhelmed her, she fearfully shuddered. She knew that she needed to do something right now before it is too late, she knew that she have to unfasten herself and get the fuck out of this truck before the driver or the abductors finds out. Allowing them to take her voluntarily to their destination is not going to be a good ending, the abductors might want to incite her, and that means her displaying those cursed powers. She is tired of not fitting anywhere, she is tired of this pathetic lifestyle.
"The same news every day……
"All I wish for is to be like a normal she-wolf just like my agemates," She grits her teeth as her heart breaks into pieces with the word hitting her deeper into her soul. She felt a needle prickle her skin as she noticed the pain was too heavy for her to bear, a sob escaped her lips. Forcefully shaking her head she struggled to keep her emotions in check and focused on the idea of breaking out of that truck.
She tried loosening the rope when the truck halted and the door was pulled open by a huge man. As the early morning sun stones her face, she blinks for some minutes to adjust her vision. The huge man dragged her out of the truck and kept pushing her forward, as they walked she noticed some hazardous men standing by the roadsides. She sensed uneasiness and something bad but being weak and no match to the huge guy she was dragged towards the men, they beat the price as the huge man handed her over to the men. Her eyes widened in fear and shock as she discovered that she had been sold to the human traffickers, they handed the money to the huge man and drove off to God knows where.
