Juliana's Pov:
I was drowning as I found myself trapped underwater, the water was twirling around me and I felt suffocation by the immersion of water. The water fills my mouth causing the nose to cut off the supply of my body's supply of oxygen. I struggle to stay conscious to avoid giving up the remaining tidal air in my lungs. Struggling to breath-hold I felt a loud bang at my heart, the more I battled to breathe I felt a painful sensation in my heart. My heart aches as the water enters my lungs.
Breathing was not an option, my heart aches more than pain as the water swirls me around. Rolling me, pulling me deep, deep towards the depth of the water. Weaving me around like a weightless being.
I was desperate to escape, I was eager to swim myself out. But it seems like the ocean has an ear of its own, with Ariana on my palms the waves break as the water tosses me up and down causing me to thrash my head at the enormous wave. After hours of struggling to swim myself and Ariana out of the water, I felt life draining out of me. I was so tempted of dropping her dead body inside the water to be able to swim myself out but remembering my reasons for escaping with her body in the first place the idea vanished into the thin air.
I tightened my grip on her, noticing that I was drifting out as life was starting to leave my body. I slowly closed my eyes as memories flooded my head, some seemed blurry, vivid, and real. I seemed tired to reason very well or to even remember anything vividly. I recall the sweet times that I shared with Ariana, our sweet moments flooded my head as a tear silently sneaked out of my eye and missed with the water.
I am drowning, drowning towards the depth of the water with Ariana still I couldn't do anything to save any of us. I am drowning in pain and grief. I am hopeless, defeated, and helpless as I feel my head spinning. Darkness is slowly clouding my head and surrounding me, I gave up. Enough of struggling as I felt damn tired to keep up with the vast ocean, the water kept swirling around and throwing me up and down.
After a few minutes, I suddenly felt calm and cool. The suffering and difficulties are gone, the water was forcefully pulling my body sideways as I helplessly laid there. Being tired and exhausted, I noticed Ariana slip out of my hold, sinking and slowly moving into the depth of the other side of the water. The water splits us and tears us apart leaving me with nothing, is this how I am going to die? Drowning by water! World gone, life gone as well. Darkness unhurriedly sneaked in and reigned.
I found myself drifting to a place far, far away. The whole place was clouded and covered with a whitish color. I had Ariana in my palms inside the place but suddenly I felt someone pull her out of my hold. I screamed and yelled, yet I felt her leaving me. I instantly felt cold as I felt her presence leaving me and out of nowhere Juliet's face popped, it was as if she was laughing at my agony! My pain.
I screamed to have Ariana back to my palms, I noticed Juliet kept pushing her away from me as her laugh kept echoing the whole place hurting my ears. And before I knew it, anger flooded inside me. Resentment flashes across my eyes as what she did to me months ago clouded my mind, she can't hurt me and still try to separate Ariana from me. Suddenly my emotions started building up as I felt the demon awake from its deep slumber.
"Aghh!!" A terrifying sound erupted from the depth of the deepest part of the ocean. My teeth elongated as my hands and legs lengthened. My ear straightened like a sharply pointed pin, and my body enlarged.
"Huuu!!!" Forcefully pulling my eyes open, red terrifying eyes shone in the place as an unsettling cry escaped my throat. Glancing around I searched for Ariana not minding where I was or if Juliet was still there. I noticed a tiny feminine figure lying on the other side of the water, so I quickly swam myself to the place. Reaching to the spot was Ariana lying peacefully at the depth of the water.
Picking her up, I started swimming to the surface of the water and that's when it dawned on me that I was still inside the tremendous water. I tightened Ariana around my palms, it was huge and could hold her steady now. With the mystery power radiating out of my body it was easy to swim in the water without any difficulty. My scary and chilling eyes glistened with joy as I noticed that I was almost to the water's surface. With my eyes, I could see everything alongside the water, the fishes and other creatures inside the water get scared and run as they get a glimpse of me. It is no longer a new thing to me, I am used to people getting scared and frightened when they sight me, I mean the monster. But what I didn't know is that even fishes also got spineless and afraid. I sighed and ignored them as I continued making my way out of the water with Ariana strongly holding tight to my hands.
I could clearly see the surface of the water from here as I approached it. I could see the sun reflecting on the water showing that I am almost on my way out. I just hoped that the other remaining slave's escaped the place, I wish that they could follow the gate and run away from that ungodly place. It hurts that Ariana has to die like this, it hurts that she foul-mouthed me even in the presence of others. Showing her my true self has always weighed me down and I have seen the reason now. I wished that she was still alive even though she doesn't want me but at least let her be alive.
Reaching the surface of the water, I swim out of water with Ariana in my palms. Moving toward the ground, I drop Ariana as I roughly fall to the dirt looking exhausted and damped.
