No One’s POV

Grace tried as much as she could to pretend normal because she didn’t want Zayden to know that she saw everything. But she was so naive that she didn’t understand that Zayden wasn’t a man to be fooled so easily. He knew the reason behind her hatred and fear.

They ate in utter silence. Grace was too afraid to speak and Zayden had no idea where he should start the conversation. For the first time, he was feeling bad for killing someone?
Why so?
Well, that’s because Grace saw him. If only, he would have killed him somewhere else. Now, he knew she would be hating him and the worst part was that he couldn’t do anything about it. It hurt him seeing that she wasn’t even looking at him. Grace took both the plates and went inside the kitchen to clean them.
Zayden still sat there, alone, thinking how to initiate the conversation. Because there was no way he could handle her silence. Ten to fifteen minutes passed this way. He saw Grace coming out and then took the leftover food to keep them in the refrigerator. When Grace went to the kitchen again, he finally collected some guts.
‘I can’t take it anymore.’, He thought and walked inside the kitchen too. He knew what he had to do. He entered the kitchen and saw her arranging the groceries which they had purchased today. He didn’t waste any other second and stood beside her. Grace felt someone’s presence behind her and she already knew who he could be, she turned around to push him away because he was too close to her liking.
‘What has gotten into him, now!’, She thought.
She decided to protest this closeness. After all, she was angry with him for killing Jame’s father. She couldn't believe that she had witnessed a murder for the third time. But of course, she couldn’t do anything.
“What are yo..”, She was about to ask the reason which brought him here! If he needed something then he was free to have it and could leave the kitchen as soon as possible. but before her question could have been completed Zayden hushed her placing his palm over her mouth.
“Ssshhh..”, His voice came low and dominating. Grace instantly shut her mouth. He lowered his hand, parting her lips seductively with the thumb. Desire coursed through both of them like a fire. She let him do so. Her eyes met his, but instead of seeing any glimpse of regret or guilt, she saw something else. His eyes showered so much love, lust, and desire that she couldn’t look at them anymore. So she lowered her head. While he smelt her desire. It was not much, but something was better than nothing.
Zayden’s desire for her was enhanced when he smelt her desire. She had lowered her head but that didn’t stop Zayden from what he was doing. He knew that she didn’t like him killing anyone and somewhere that fact was making her upset or….angry! He wasn’t to make sure that if not love then, she must not have hatred in her eyes for him.
He then noticed that her hair was tied into a messy bun and he frowned slightly. He loved her open hair, but she always tied them. Using his other hand, he opened the bun and let her hair fall in waves.
‘So soft.’, His wolf muttered, to which he couldn’t help but agree.
‘I wonder which shampoo she uses?’, He asked his wolf but no reply came in return.
Grace would have complained but right then, she couldn’t do anything. True, she wasn’t scared of him as much as she was before but still, she didn’t dare to go against him.
He cornered her hair on her left shoulder, keeping his gaze at her all the time. It amazed him that she wasn’t complaining. She just stood there nervous, waiting for his next seductive torture. Zayden for the first time, observed her right shoulder carefully, his eyes used to capture her left shoulder all the time because that was the place where she would be going to carry his marks. But never did he know that there was a mole on the crook of her neck on her right shoulder. It was damn too small and perfectly round. He never knew that existed until now. But still, there were millions of things that they had to find out about each other. And this was one of the finest. It looked so appealing to him!
He leaned down and lightly kissed there. Grace instinctively clutched his shirt in nervousness to which he couldn’t stop himself from smiling. He continued his little torture, all over her neck to her jawline. All the time, Grace was going through a great internal battle.
‘Should I stop him now?’
‘Should I push him and ask him to not do so?’
She wasn’t even able to think properly now, let alone ask him to stop.
When he was close enough to his lips, he stopped but stayed in the same position. Their forehead and nose were touching by now. She couldn’t think rationally due to so little space between them. On the other hand, Zayden was thinking of ways to initiate the conversation. He had no idea what he should say. But one thing was sure, he would do anything or say anything to make her talk to him even if it included a fake apology. All he wanted was for her not to be angry with him or hate him. And that’s what mattered to him.
‘Are you going to take the whole night to initiate the conversation? And from where I can see, you still don't even know where to start! So, better try your way i.e. go straight to the topic. ’, His wolf encouraged and demotivated him at the same time.
‘Okay, thanks.’
“You saw”, He stated more than asked.
