No One’s POV

“What are you thinking?”, He asked when he saw and felt a pinch of sadness on Grace’s face.
“N.Nothing!”, Grace replied and thought to give an appropriate reply instead of lying completely to him. “I was just wondering how I should thank you.” Zayden smirked at this.
“Perhaps, a kiss would do.”, He said. She looked at him in shock and surprise.
‘Is he serious?’
Grace lowered her head shyly. She hated herself for being so evident.
‘Why do I feel like this in front of him? I shouldn’t like this….I shouldn’t like his touch.’ But she did and she despised herself for that.
He cupped her face and raised her head so that he could look at her innocent green eyes. She wasn’t so brave to look at him. Her heartbeats raced and a very different feeling engulfed her. Why was she feeling like this?
Zayden couldn’t stop looking at her lips. They were so tempting to him. He knew what was going to happen next but he could still try, right? After all, sometimes it becomes difficult to control our emotions. He leaned closer to her face. He advanced slowly and when he was close enough, Grace felt his not-so-friendly member and pushed his chest lightly.
“C.c.clothes”, She stuttered shyly. A scowl came upon his face. He desperately wanted to kiss her, and it seemed such a perfect opportunity, but yet she had to ruin it.
‘How long are you going to stop me, sweetheart! I am going to feel you soon!’ He consoled himself. After a moment, she heard the rustle of fabric.

After reaching home, One of Zayden’s men reached near him to take the keys to his car.
“Alpha, should I park your car in the garage or let it stay outside?”, He asked.
‘Garage.’, He replied through mindlink, keeping his answer short.
“Okay, Alpha.”, He said to which Zayden nodded, not willing to speak again.
‘Just how exactly does he speak with others?’, She wondered. For most of the time, he just nods or shakes his head.
“I will go and prepare the food.”, Grace said, before leaving from there but then she remembered that she didn’t thank Zayden for everything he did for her. She stopped and turned toward him to look at him. “And thank you, Zaydem.”, She added to express her gratitude.
“Never say that again, sweetheart! You don’t have to thank me for anything.”, He said to which Grace nodded not knowing what to say. “By the way, I am joining you in the kitchen to learn cooking.”, He added so that he could spend a little more time with Grace.

“Alpha.”, Eric called Zayden and appeared a little far away from the kitchen. He had to call Zayden instead of using mindlink because Zayden had turned it off so that he could spend some time with Grace without getting disturbed but it seems like the writer had some other plan. He gave Zayden a serious look, which meant something was wrong. Zayden understood the urgency.
“Sweetheart! I am sorry but I will have to leave for a while. I will come soon. Something important has come.”, He said politely to which Grace nodded.
“I am sorry, Luna. I am taking your mate’s precious time but this is really important.”, Eric explained.
“It’s okay.”, She said with a small smile.
The moment Zayden left the kitchen, the smile he had on his face when he was with Grace wiped and his expression was back to cold and cruel.
‘What is it?’, He asked through mindlink.
‘Alpha, Wyatt knows about your marriage, especially Grace.’, Eric replied.
‘I know. Tell me something new.’, Zayden said. Of course, Wyatt would know.
‘But it wasn’t his source who gave him this news. It was our man who transferred this news to his men.’, Eric said. Zayden stopped in his track. His man! One thing he never tolerated in his business and life was a betrayal. It was an unforgivable crime according to his rules.
‘Make sure that your Luna doesn’t come out.’, Zayden ordered one of his guards, when he walked out of the house.
‘Okay, Alpha.’
“Where is he?, Zayden asked, venom evident in his voice.
“I brought him with me.”, Eric replied quickly, not wanting to face his Alpha’s rage. He very well knew how much Zayden hated people who betray and lie.
“Bring him here.”, He ordered.
Eric quickly nodded and went out of the main gate. He instructed the guards to bring the culprit, whose hands were tied with a silver chain and a silver collar was tied in his neck. Meanwhile, Zayden glanced toward the villa to make sure Grace wasn’t watching him. He knew, he was going to kill that person and he didn’t want to do that in front of her to scare her. When he was sure that she wasn’t watching from anywhere, he relaxed and looked forward to seeing the brave werewolf who betrayed him.
But he didn’t know that Grace was watching him anyway. She had found the server room in the villa from where she could see all the footage of the CCTV which was installed in the villa. Thankfully, neither it was locked nor was it guarded by anyone. She quickly went into that room and kept looking at the CCTV footage. She knew Zayden was up to something. But what? She couldn’t decipher.
She saw him looking at the villa suspiciously and she started feeling scared, scared with the thought of being caught. What if he came to know what he was doing?
But when he looked away, she sighed in relief.
She felt as if, he was waiting for something or perhaps, someone. The entrance was well lighted such that she was able to see everything clearly.
Suddenly, she saw Eric coming inside the villa. Two guards followed him and the acne took her breath away. The guards were dragging a man with them. And from what she could see, the man looked horribly beaten. He wasn’t even in a state to walk properly. Her eyes widened when she saw the face of the man.
