Eric's POV
"Angela what are you doing here??" I don't know why I suddenly asked this to her in such a heavy voice, but when I saw her in my room ( Eric's Room), I could not think of any question other than this question.
Some time ago, I went to our room to see her but she was not there. Seeing this, I started looking for her in other rooms. Then my eyes went to my room which was open. Seeing the door open, I doubted for a moment whether she was there?
Thinking of this, my steps slowed down who was now moving towards my room.
My hands started trembling as I approached the door. And once I even took my hands back, but again gathering courage I grabbed the handle of the door with the same trembling hand. I don't know why I'm so nervous. But the thought of seeing her present in my room is making me nervous.
For a moment I closed my eyes and with a deep breath, I finally opened the door and entered the room.
As soon as I open the door, I look at Angela, who is just standing in front of the table right next to my bed and holding my photo frame in her hands.
Suddenly she looks towards the door where I am standing because of the sound of the door opening!
"Ohh, Erish!! It is good that you have come here." She smiled at me and said.
Then my eyes fell on her hands which still had my photo. As Eric!!
"What happened? What are you doing here in Eric's room??" I asked with a hesitant smile, trying to maintain my anxiety.
"Just when I saw the maid cleaning this room, I came inside." She answered me and then continued.
"I thought that this room is closed because Eric is not staying here now. But today when I saw that this room was being cleaned, I thought he was about to come back from abroad."
"Erish, Is he coming back from abroad?" She asked, looking at me with blinking eyes.
Without realizing I took two steps forward and said in a serious tone " No. He's not going to come back for now!"
"Ohh I see!! Well, it's been a long time since he came home! You miss your brother a lot, don't you?? Sorry, I never asked you before about him. He could not even come to our wedding. You must have become upset that your brother was not with you that day." She held my hand in her hand and told me.
Listening to her I could not understand for a moment what to say to her or how to react but I tried to maintain my calmness without showing any suspicion.
"He didn't come to our wedding because he was busy with work. I can understand his situation." I answered her back, ignoring her eyes.
"Yeah I know, he is your twin brother. Just like you." She laughed and hesitantly smiled.
"But tell him, Come to home whenever he will be free. I would like to invite him for dinner. It has been a long time since I last saw him. Please tell him on behalf of me!" She said smiling, towards me which made me more guilty.
This 'Guilty' word just stuck between us for this life. I felt a deep sharp feeling in my heart to think that.
"Erish! Why don't you answer??" She freed her hand and then tapped on my shoulder which made me come to my senses.
"Yeah..! I'll tell him," I mumbled.
She happily nodded her head in agreement and then she put the photo frame back on the table.
I don't know why but I felt a sharp pain in my heart when she did it.
Suddenly, one question came into my mind which only Angela could answer.
Don't know why but this question I always wanted to ask her but couldn't ask as Eric today I wanted to ask as Erish!
"Angela!!"
"Hmm!" She looked at me and I just avoided her eyes and continued my words.
"What do you think about Eric?" I just blurted out suddenly but the next moment, I regret asking this question to her.
But to my surprise, she didn't get shocked and smiled at me.
"He's just like a friend to me. It's another thing that we have been together since childhood but we didn't talk at all. I even thought of talking to him several times and also thought that maybe we can become good friends someday. But seeing him always makes the distance to me. I just thought maybe your brother didn't like me at all. And when we grew up, the relationship between the two of us settled as the senior and junior where he helped me many times with projects and studies. But no more that! " She explained her side to me and I deeply stared at her. Everything she said is true. I'm the one who ignored her. I'm the one who didn't take steps towards her.
"Angela, Have you never gotten angry with his rude behavior towards you?? " That's the real question I've always wanted to ask her.
I thought she would be happy to listen to my question and complain to me about myself, saying that she used to get really angry.
But seeing her shake her head in "No", I was astonished and asked her, "why??"
How can she not get angry when he used to stare at her coldly or ignore her words or walk away from her??? Isn't enough for anyone to hate someone.
"No, I've never been angry because he never disrespects me as a human. And yes, like you, he could not speak his words openly. But in his few words, deep thoughts were hidden. I realized this later.
And he is a good person just like you. I still remember that students often came to him for help and he used to help them! How can I be angry with someone like him?" She explained and I gazed upon her face. Her deep words melted my heart and removed the burden from me that she hates me.
My lips suddenly curved slightly and I held her hand in my hand to interconnect. Her hands warmly come to my hand which makes my heart warmer.
She looked at me astonishingly because of my sudden action but suddenly a bright smile took place on her lips.
I wanted to talk to her more, but before I could say anything more. All of a sudden my phone rang. And I had to end this conversation there.
But I'm happy and started to feel comfortable.
"Thank you, Angela, for telling me your side!!"
"Thank you so much"
I just thought in my heart.
