Angela's POV
I knew it was my fault this time so I decided to silently obey him in everything.
He has shifted all his work at home for me. Even sitting on the sofa in our room, he kept on doing business by phone, laptop, and meeting all day.
I was quite happy to see him do all this for me. The way he cares for me. I have always wanted this love and care from him. Which I am seeing today because of my hand fracture. And that incident has brought us closer.
At first, he didn't even have time to talk to me. But now he keeps asking me all the time, do I need anything??? Or is there any problem with my hand? Do I feel any pain in my hand? ??? Am I hungry???
Many questions like this which had no end!!!
He also called a nurse from a hospital who would be there for me 24 hours a day at home. To which I did not agree at all. After much persuasion of mine, he finally had to send the nurse back! And I sighed in relief.
I had just fractured my hand, but the way he treated me, it seemed to me that I had a serious illness and could not survive. Now slowly I was getting irritated by his behavior. Everything seemed fine in the beginning but not now.
Already a lot of maids in the house who always take care of me and also take care of everything. Then why do I need strangers to take care of me! I know they are professional but I don't feel comfortable and I don't need someone to stare at me 24 hours a day. It feels so uncomfortable.
I would spend the whole day just watching him work on the sofa. And at night he used to go to the study room so that I would not have any problem in bed, but after my insisting enough, he had to come and sleep next to me. It had been 2 days since my hand was fractured.
My own work was pending as well because I could not make the design due to my broken hand. And Erish also informed my office that I would not be able to mail him any designs for a long time. Because of which I had no work other than being bored. He warns me that I can't even get out of bed until my hand is fully healed and I also nodded at him like a small child who has made a mistake and has been caught.
Seeing his behavior I felt that his first behavior was good when he was busy in the office and for a moment I felt like asking him to go to the office to work. So, I can breathe normally.
But soon I changed my mind because I wanted to spend time with him.
The time which I did not get in a normal day but was getting it now.
To keep my busy husband close to me, I have to resort to my broken hand. Seeing this, I took a deep breath.
"Angela! I need to take this call if you need anything just give me a voice. I am right outside the room." He went out with the phone and I started getting bored again.
After some time I thought of chatting with my best friend. And taking the phone in hand, I immediately messaged her 'Hi'.
The answer to my 'Hi' immediately came from the other side.
" Hey, buddy!!!" Finally, you are free!!"
As soon as I read it, I understood that she must have made a poker face on the other side of the phone. Because I haven't called or messaged her for a long time.
I chuckled lightly and replied to her.
"Sorry Babes!! But I got into an accident and broke my right arm!" I just wanted to know her reaction which I already knew.
And my guess was right! As soon as she read my message, she started asking questions. Non Stop!
And I laughed hard when I started to read her questions line by line. Reading which, it seemed that she was a reporter who was interviewing me.
And without making her more worried I answered every question line by line until her questions were over.
"Babes, I wish I could be there for you that time so I can beat those bastards for you!!! How dare they bully my buddy!! They need a hard beat from me!!
I smiled widely, reading her text.
" No worries!! I'm fine and you just focus on your job! " I tried to console her because she is not in the city and hearing about my injury, I know she will be back without staying there any second which I don't want.
"Yeah!! Yeah!! I know your husband makes you happy these days!!" She said with a smiling emoji and I chuckled reading that.
"Babe, I need to do some work!! I'll call you later!"
Reading that, I bid her goodbye and put the phone on the bed.
Now I was getting sleepy while lying on the bed, so I thought of taking some rest by closing my eyes, but then I heard the sound of door-knocking on my ears and my eyes opened immediately. I allowed the person standing outside to come inside.
And in a short while one of the maids who is taking care of me at this time. She came and stood. Her name was Joy. She just joined here a month ago. She was a married woman. She had a 6-month-old baby girl. She herself told me all this and I also talk to her in my spare time. So I know most things about her.
"Joy, Do you have some work with me?? I asked her in a gentle voice but she still hesitates. So, I tried to ask her again.
"Joy, what happened?"
And this time she answered.
"Madam, I wanted half a day off today." She spoke in a slightly nervous tone and I could see the panic on her face.
