Angela's POV
"You and Erish are going to a party together for the first time after your marriage. That means you have to do lots of preparation to go to the party." She put the cup of tea back on the table which the maid brought for both of us a while back.
"No Mom! There is nothing like that!" I also put my cup of tea on the table and looked at her with a sweet smile.
"Ah...!! How can this be possible..?! This is the first time that both of you are going to a party together after your marriage...!! You need to look special." She shockingly looked at me which made me timidly smile.
"Dear, You need to do some preparation for yourself. " She tried to explain to me but I don't think there is something I need to prepare.
"No, Mom! I don't think I have to prepare!" I tried to refuse her in a polite tone because I already have everything in my cupboard.
"You silly girl!! Don't understand my words! What about your outfit, jewelry, makeup, hairstyling! You have to go there as Erish's wife and you can look no less than anyone. You have to look special there..!! I know my daughter-in-law is beautiful but still, you need to do everything perfectly." She proudly explained to me and held my hands.
Hearing the' Wife' word I started blushing. It still makes my heart flutter to listen to this word. This word told me how special I am to Erish.
"Thanks, mom for your sweet words. But Mom..!! I swear!! I already have lots of new party gowns, jewelry, sandals..!! And I can do my makeup and for hairstyling, I can do that too. I can dress myself..!!" I already have everything. For my wedding, I shopped many things and Erish's Mom also gave me many outfits and jewelry which I didn't wear even once.
"Absolutely Not!! You are Brooks' young madam! Even if you have everything and know everything. Still, you need to go shopping now. You need to wear the latest collection dress. You can't wear an old one there and I know the best makeup artist and hairstylist who will help to enhance your beauty." She raised her eyebrows and showed fake anger to me just like my own mother which made me laugh. Mom also did this to me whenever I tried to deny her. I'm really blessed to have this family as my in-laws.
"But Mom!" I tried to explain my point.
But she refused to listen to my words and said with a stern voice," Angela, No more arguments!! If I said we have to go, then we have to go! That's it..!! I don't want to hear any words from you."
I sighed softly to see my strict cute mother-in-law and nodded my head in agreement.
"Oh no..!! We have very little time! Come with me as soon as possible...!!" She looked at the clock and held my hand to go which made me confused.
"Mom!! But there is still morning, we have to go in the evening..!!" I became confused seeing her rushing like this.
"You go with me first then you will know how the day turns into the evening!" She chuckled, taking a step with me towards the outside.
I immediately laughed when I heard her words.
Mom brought me to the biggest mall in our city.
She selected many dresses for me and I tried each one for her. She bought everything for me. There is a magnificent look at her when she purchased everything.
I was shocked to see how many dresses I just shopped. I feel a little bit embarrassed to see her waste too much money on me.
"Mom, I think, this is too much for me. All I need is only one dress for today's evening!" I don't want to upset her but that's a lot of money. I couldn't stop myself from uttering those words.
"Silly, I understand why you are saying this but let me tell you. This shopping mall is ours and you are Brooks' daughter-in-law! It means you are also the owner of this place. So, don't think about money again. As a young madam, you don't need to think about money. This is the last thing which we need to think about. Understand!! She smiled at me and tapped on my back head.
I wasn't shocked when she told me that this Mall belongs to Brooks. They are billionaires. It's normal to have a mall.
"You are the future Hostage of Brooks. So you need to think about Brooks also." She adds.
"Yes, Mom!!" I nodded my head and smile lightly.
"Let's select some jewelry to match those dresses!!" She pointed towards the jewelry shop.
And we both headed towards the jewelry section.
"This one, That one, That also..!! Pack all this jewelry..!!" There is an authoritative tone when she orders everything but I know as a rich lady It's the normal way to talk outside.
"Angela, Do you like anything else...??! Tell your mom..!! I will purchase each one which you like. This jewelry shop has the best collections..!! You can buy anything from here..!!" Her voice became soft again when she spoke to me.
Many women and sellers looked at us with admiration. That is how my mother-in-law treated me with this much care. Where nowadays this type of relationship only can be seen on TV.
"Angela, you didn't answer me?" She looked at me confusingly. But I came to my senses and answered her.
"No, mom!! It's enough for me! I think we need to go now!" I said, smiling at her.
"Yes, Let's go!! We need to go to Parlour." She looked at the time in her wristwatch.
I chuckled lightly and nodded my head.
"Hello! Mrs.Brooks!! Welcome to my place." The makeup artist shook hands with mom.
His eyes moved toward me and he smiled politely.
"Mrs. Brooks! Who is this beautiful girl with you??? Can you introduce me to her?" He smiled at me.
He is a handsome man with a gorgeous smile. Seeing him I never thought he was a makeup artist. I just thought he was a model.
"Haha!! You naughty boy!! Let me introduce both of you! Angela, He is Sharon Wilson the famous makeup artist. And Sharon, She is Angela Brooks! My daughter-in-law and a famous dress designer." There is a proud smile when mom introduces me to him which made me more generous to her.
"Hello, Mrs. Angela!!" He extended his hand in front of me.
"Hello, Mr. Sharon!!" I also extended my hand to shake hands with him.
"Ohh I must say your daughter-in-law is a natural beauty. " He complimented me which made me shy and smiled at him.
"So, let's talk about work!! So tell me what can I do for you?" He asked, looking at me and mom.
"Sharon! I want you to give Angela the best makeover so that no one looks more beautiful than her at today's evening party..!!" She said, placing her hand on my shoulder, looking at him.
"Mrs.Brooks, your daughter-in-law is already a goddess. I just need to enhance her beauty." He replied with a smirk but his words made me embarrassed. Hearing too many compliments in just one day.
"Great, then let me see your best work." Mom laughed with satisfaction hearing his words.
"Yeah sure!!" He nodded in agreement with mom.
"Mrs. Angela!! Please! This way." He pointed towards the makeup room with his hand.
I nodded my head and went to the makeup room.
