Angela's POV
I came back home after completing my makeup. Now I feel a little bit tired after doing all these things but it's worth it. I went to my room and looked at myself in the mirror.
For an evening party, I wore a One-shoulder ruffled stopping gown with a slim silver belt. It's a flamingo color which is one of the shades of pink and it is also known as sweet pink. It suits my body tone so well. The gown is flawed at the bottom and its slit on one side above the knee which shows my long and sexy less perfectly. This dress makes my appearance sexy and elegant at the same time. I wore high heels sandals in a pink color that matched perfectly with my gown. In jewelry, I choose diamond earrings and Diamond rings which compliment my look.
Sharon did a great job with my face. He did light makeup with pink smudges eye makeup and nude pink on my lip which enhanced my beauty more and clearly showed my features. It's just like a fresh makeup look.
I just love this look so much and I also want to show this to Erish who is still busy with his work and didn't call until now.
I waited for his call the whole day and still waited patiently. But it's already 6 pm. Now and still there is no news from him. I started to become uneasy.
I tried to call his number but it's showing unreachable. I tried it again and this time his phone rang but still, he didn't pick up. I don't know how many times I called him after that but still, there is no response from him. Finally, I tried to call his P.A. number and he immediately picks up my phone.
"Hello, Madam!"
"Hello! John, I'm trying to call Erish many times but he didn't pick up my phone. Where is he??" I just blurted out with frustration.
"Madam, Sir is coming to the party and talking with some investors. I think Sir's phone is silent." He replied but I fell silent to hear 'party'.
"Pa...Party?? Do..Do..you mean to The J.K. Company party??" I just want to hear one more time to clear my understanding.
"Yes, Madam!" He confirmed it.
My eyes become moist to hear this. He went to the party without me. I chuckled bitterly.
"Madam, let me inform the boss about your call!" He said from the other side but I stopped him.
"No!! No need!! Let him do the work!!" After saying this, I directly disconnect the phone.
I sat on the couch and tears rolled down my cheeks. I'm sad!! Too sad!! I just feel like an abandoned person. I again looked at myself in the mirror and smiled bitterly. There is no more happiness. Is this the life I always dream of where my own husband, my love of life, my lover, ignores me like this?? Why whenever I think everything is good it's again made me feel that it's not…!!
Why has my life become so hard?
My inner voice started to empower me who wants her all answers.
Eric's POV
"Hello Mom, Is everything alright there?" I am talking to some investors at the party when my mom's call comes in John's phone and to talk to her I take my red wine glass and go to the corridor.
"Everything is alright son!" She answered and I sighed in relief.
"So there's something else you want to talk about?" I started drinking wine and asked casually.
"I've called to ask about Angela." She replied.
"Angela?" I stopped drinking my wine.
"Yes, You both have come to the party, haven't you?" She tried to confirm with me.
"No, Mom!! I have come to the party with John." First I need to understand what she is trying to say.
"Oh, dear!! But I had got her ready for the party saying that maybe you will call her in the evening." She worriedly explained and now I'm also stunned to hear everything.
"No mom!! I didn't even tell her about these things. Then how did she come to know about this party? Did you tell her?" I blurted out.
"Actually, an invitation had come to her office too but she told me that she wants to go with you after asking you. That's why I told her that you have also got an invitation, so maybe you did not get time to tell her before and maybe you ask her to go in the evening." Her voice became a bit heavy now while telling me all this.
And I could not understand how to handle the situation now.
I didn't tell her about the party because I wanted her to rest in the home for a few more days and not attend any kind of party right now.
"But why? Didn't you go with her?? Is this because..? " I understand what she is trying to say.
"No. It's not for my identity or because of my guilt! I just thought she feels bored here." I just made an excuse because I couldn't tell her about the fracture incident.
"Ohh!! my poor child!! It means she is still in the house waiting for you. This is all my fault. I didn't inform you about Angela!! She was so excited about going to the party with you. Now she is upset because of my fault. " Mom sounds very upset to hear that Angela is not here and I can understand because now I also feel uncomfortable to think that she's waiting for me and I'm here enjoying the party.
"Mom, don't worry!! I'll make everything clear for her. I know she will understand. So, don't worry." I tried to console her.
"Yes Son, please go and check on her. I will call her tomorrow and apologize to her. It's all because of me that misunderstanding creates. I just want to help you both to create some moments." I know she's all doing just for me and Angela. She's trying to create opportunities for us.
"Okay, mom!! Now I need to go home!!" I announced.
"Yeah, Go and check on her!!" She said in a low voice.
I disconnected the phone and sent it to John.
I started to feel frustrated and just want to leave this place as soon as possible. I just want to see Angela.
"Boss!! Madam called on my phone when you were busy with other guests" John came behind me and informed me, I stared at him coldly.
"Then why didn't you inform me at that time!!" I just shouted angrily at him. It means she actually called me but I didn't know about it.
"Boss, Madam told me not to disturbed you, when I told her to give you the phone and before I could say more, she disconnected the phone!!" He explained and I greeted my teeth with frustration.
"Why didn't she call on my phone??" I just spoke loudly.
"Boss, she called you many times but your phone is unreachable and when it's ringing you didn't pick up. I think you 'Silent' your phone. " Hearing him, I just checked my phone and it's on silent.
There are many miscalls from her. Even her last miscall is 6 pm.
"Damn it " I just crushed myself to 'Silent' my phone when I was in a meeting and forgot to change it.
"John, Call the driver!! I'll go home now!!" I ordered him and he immediately left the corridor.
