Jeffery Walsh POV.
I wait at the gate for Cindy after school, glad that the misunderstanding between us had been cleared and that I could finally be able to be happy with her again, we will be going back to the fun al all that.
Students left the gate, but I made sure to keep a lookout for Cindy, once I saw her walking to the gate with her back on her shoulder and her hair flying backwards with the light breeze that blew on her face, she was dazzling.
I was glad that she was not with her two friends, this means I could have a long talk with her and we could even go have fun, once she was close to me I held her hands and turn to leave the gate. "Let's go," I told her with a smile.
"Jeffery, let go of me, we are still in school and eyes are watching." She told me softly and look around, I followed her gaze and could see few students looking at us and whispering things, but I smile and turn back to face Cindy the only girl I see.
"I don't care, we are already dating," I told her and I even love the sound of the last word I had just said, it made me smile, I have always wanted to say this to her once I see her again.
She pulled her hands away from me immediately I said the word and I look at my empty hand and then at her. "Who is dating you?" She asked and it made me surprise. "I am not doing that." She shook her head and walk ahead of me.
This was surprising to me, if we weren't dating then what was that thing at the rooftop, I followed her. "Then should I quit being with you?" I asked her and she turned to look at me sharply, making me halt.
She furrowed her brow. "Even though we are not dating, you have to stay by my side and make up for all you have done to me." I smiled as I heard this, at least she wasn't telling me to stay away from her anymore.
"Yes, miss!" I made a little salute, just like a kid taking orders from his teacher. "Then why don't I make up for leaving you in that playground then, let's go have fun today," I told her, wanting to find an excuse to spend more time with her.
She sighed and scoffed. "What are you saying?" She raised her fist to my face and I step back, at times she was scary, just like her little self. "I am no longer a four-year-old kid, so back off." She adjusted her school bag.
I tilt my head to a side wondering why she was acting this way to me. "You are being tough on me, when you were just crying a while ago, you should also make up for all you have done to me by hanging out with me today," I told her with a smirk, now I got her.
She looked at me for a long while and I was excited for being victorious, but her next action made the smile on my face disappear. "I am not in the mood for plays, bye." She ran off, even before I could hold her back.
I scoffed as I watched her run to her friends. "Was she just playing with me right now?" I asked no one in particular but myself, but still, I smiled, knowing that she had forgiven me, I miss that side of her.
"Jeffery, what are you doing, let's go." I heard D'mally voice and turned to look at him and Chad.
"Thanks, guys," I told them with a smile, I knew they were the ones who help me out, they had been the ones who told Cindy everything for sure.
"What are you saying?" D'mally frame ignorance.
"Yeah, he is totally strange." Chad shook his head and shrugged. "Let's go," Chad told D'mally and they both walked ahead of me.
I chuckled, my friends were really funny, well I am lucky to have them since Cindy didn't want to hear from me then, I had lost all hopes to tell her, but they still found a way to help me out. "Hey wait for me," I called out and walked over to them. "What do we do today?" I asked since my plans with Cindy have just been cancelled.
"Let's hit some arcade games."
"That sounds fun." I shook my head and we walked out of the gate, Chad brought his car so we all rode in it to the game centre.
Cindy White POV.
I walked with my friends after leaving Jeffery, I couldn't believe I had just played hard to get just now, I wanted to spend more time with him, but it will make him think I am easy, finally
"Cindy, why are you blushing?" Kelly asked me and I placed my hand on my cheek and look at my two friends, they were both staring at me suspiciously.
"What do you mean blushing?" I have to make a little cough and averted my gaze, I must have made it so obvious just now.
"Your face is all red." Janet pointed at my face and I try to frown, maybe this will make the redness go away.
"What are you saying?" I look ahead. "Let's just go." I walked ahead of them.
"I wonder if you have found another lover," Kelly called out and Janet giggle, I turn to look at them, jeez! They both know how to play their cards well, lover my butt.
"Hey girls, I am just happy we would be going for the excursion." I lied, trying to distract them from trying to thread into my relationship, and it seems to work.
"Me too." Kelly skips with joy and held me and Janet's shoulder as they both started talking about the excursion, finally, all the other talks were forgotten, my friends are gullible.
