We arrived at the camping ground and everyone seems excited to be far from home and also to see a new scenario, I chat with my friends nonstop, trying hard not to think of anything else.
I have not met with Jeffery after we broke up, I have looked away from him and he also seems to understand I meant what I said.
I had seen him talking to Russeli, even when I didn't hear what they were saying, but I knew it was something serious caused their expression was hard and they were glaring at each other.
He has also been with his friends and also talked to Suzy on the bus and when we arrived at the came, they had sat on the same sit in the bus too.
They seem happy together, well I was not staring at them, I only happened to see him every time I look up, though he was not looking my way.
"Did you see that swimming pool?" Janet asked and I turn my attention back to my friends. "I can't wait to get into it." She hugs herself and smiles broadly. "It will be like heaven."
I and Kelly chuckled, we all know that she can't wait to strip and wear only her bikini and get some attention to herself, Janet has no worries.
After changing to our field wear, we came out to the open space as an administrator who had come to the camp addressed us.
"I see the wears fits you all." He looked at us all and nod his head. "Suzy and Jeffery, the project I appointed you to do last time, is it ready?" He asked, looking from Jeffery to Suzy.
Few eyes looked at them, curiously to know what project he was talking about, I also turn my gaze, they were standing together and look perfect for each other and it saddens me.
"Yes sir, it was too much stress, but thanks to Jeffery," Suzy said softly with a smile as she stares up at Jeffery who seems to smile back.
"That's why I appointed you too." He nods and they handed him a big file.
"Even the teacher know they look perfect together." Kelly whisper to me and Janet's hearing and I look at her.
"They do right?" I asked like I wanted confirmation to my thoughts and doubt.
"Yes, who wouldn't know they are dating, that why they were together, they must have done the lips thing," Kelly said with a sly smile and I knew what she was already talking about.
They kissed, I saw the evidence already, I had deleted it, else I would have shown it to my friends too, even if it will hurt me.
"Alright, we would start with the football game." Mr Henry announced. "Come on boys, let's play a real match." He clapped his hands to motivate them.
Russeli walked over to me and I waved at him, I have decided to look at him along and try to also fall in love with him, it won't be difficult, I said in my head, he was a good person.
"Cindy wish me luck." He told me with a smile.
"You are already a football pro," I told him, there was no need to wish him more luck, this time I have decided to root for him, I will cheer him up on this match and hope his team win over Jeffrey's team.
"I still need your good luck charm." He said and to my surprise, he pulled me into his embrace and I googled, I raised my eyes, just in time to meet Jeffrey's gaze, it was an angry gaze and it was cold.
I was at a loss for word, not even know the reason he has that expression on his face, still, I refrained immediately and turn my eyes to Russeli.
Russeli leans in and kissed my forehead and my eyes dilated, it all came unaware and he leans back with a smile on his lips, possibly glad that he was now allowed to do that.
"I will take that as my lucky charm, thank you." He pats me gently on the hair and walked away happily.
I look over at Jeffery who was still looking in my direction, but he turns when he saw Suzy, he spoke for a while, before he also walked away and I scoffed.
I shouldn't be watching him, he should date who he loves, and I will develop feelings for Russeli and he will make me happy, instead of Jeffery who hurts me, I turn to leave.
"Hey, Cindy!" I heard my name and my brow creased, I turn around to face the girl I have come to despise. "I have something to say to you," Suzy said as she walked over to me.
I didn't want to spare any time with this girl, I knew she was the one who sent those photos to me, it was all her plans and I wonder what she has left to say now.
"What do you have to say?" I gave her a hard glare, all I wish to do now was smack her on the face and walk away.
"Jeffery pleaded with me to help him talk to you and clear the misunderstanding." She said softly in her two face expression, I was silent and waited for her to continue.
What would Jeffery want her to clear, what other misunderstanding would he tell the lady he loves to clear that he can't.
"You must be mistaking to think Jeffery like me." A smile crawled up her lips and she steps closer to me. "Let me tell you he loves me and sees only me now."
She chuckled lightly. She was a real evil, just like the evil stepsisters, she was worst, she knows how to annoy someone and act so calm about it.
"As you can see, I am wearing the singlet he handpicked for me." She opened up her jacket and I saw it, it was the same one they had picked at the shopping mall while acting lovey-dovey.
"And this neck." She lifted it for me to see. "He gave it to me on my birthday with his eyes staring at only me, what other misunderstanding do you want me to clear for you to understand that Jeffery loves only me and not you?" Her lips curled up.
Suzy was despicable, she should be titled a devil fairy and two horns should be placed on her forehead.
I held back my tears, the way she spoke to me made my eyes sting and my heart sore, but I won't let her see me cry, never!.
I flashed her a half-smile. "I have already let go Jeffery now Suzy, now I won't concern myself with your love life or his." I stepped close to her. "One more thing, stay out of my way," I told her coldly and walked away.
"I should be the one warning you to stay out of my way!" Suzy shouted in anger and that was the last thing I heard.
"I won't let them see me break down, I won't look at them anymore, I will ignore them, I will love only Russeli!" I repeated in my head as I left.
