Cindy White POV
I turn around to see who had just called my name but it was too bad that it was not who I had expected, what was I even thinking. "Russeli." I flashed him a smile
He smiles and stepped close to me. "Are you going home right now?" He asked me.
"Yes." I nod, I think that it should be obvious since apart from hanging out with my two friends who were now watching fights, there should be only one place left to go, home.
"I will stop by the arcades to catch some fun before going home, will you come with me, I will take you home after the fun." He said with a cute smile.
I could see his two friends waiting for him at the corner and I know they will accompany him, not only that but thinking of Jeffery with Suzy now also make me sad that all I want to do was go home and eat ice cream which seems to calm me down.
"No, I am tired today, I will just head back home first," I said with a smile, behind that smile was an apology for turning him down, be meant to take me out for fun, but I know I could only ruin the mood if I go there distracted with the thoughts of Jeffery, and Russeli was always quick to read my emotions.
Russeli studied my expression for a while and I wonder if I had been caught, damn him and his penetrating gaze, I try my best to put on a cute smile.
"Okay, see you tomorrow then." He smiles and left with his friends, I breathe a sigh of relief when they got into a taxi and drove off, luckily I haven't been seen through.
I turn around to head home but halt when I saw Jeffery staring at me with a knitted brow. "Jeffery..." I called out softly and he stepped closer to me. "I thought you took Suzy home." Thinking back at that made me frown.
"Why were you with Russeli, and you were even smiling with him just now." The tune of his voice made it obvious that he was jealous.
"You were holding Suzy's hands too." I retorted.
He held my gaze for a long while. "You..." I knew he had just lost to me, but to my surprise, he held my hands. "You are caught in my web today." He flashed me his white set of arranged teeth.
"Let go of my hands!" I shouted, I can't let him fool me with his smile, I was still angry at him for holding Suzy's hands, it ruled to pull my hands away, but he grips my hands tightly.
"I am never going to do that again." He told me and me still for a while and look at his eyes, a part of me was happy to hear these words, it was just a sentence, but to me, it was a sweet word.
"You don't ever listen," I said softly and stopped struggling, knowing that the person that was trying hard to annoy me was Suzy and not him, Jeffery will never want to link arms with her, she did that on purpose.
"Let's go," Jeffery said in a single breath and drag me along.
"Where are you taking me to, my house is in the opposite direction." I pointed behind me with my other hands.
"And, who said I am taking you home." He flashed me those charming smile again, if not home then where is he taking me to?. "Let’s eat lunch together, come on." He held my waist.
"I don't want to," I said again, but I was sure it was my mind speaking not my heart, my heart want to spend more time with him.
Luckily he never listens to me. "I am not giving in to your opinions today." He winks me and I rolled my eyes, was there even a time he considers it, I knew it was a waste of time to continue struggling when this was what I want, so I just followed his lead instead.
Suzy Dee POV
I walk into my room and sat on my bed, devastated, as I think back to what happened when I and Jeffery walked few miles away from Cindy.
I had noticed his thoughts were no longer with me, he must be worrying over Cindy so I had to break the silence. "I am happy that you are taking me home, I wonder if you would like to stop for a while and have fun with me before heading home."
But to my surprise, Jeffery stopped walking and took his hands away from mine. "Suzy..."
I didn't want to hear what he was about to say since I already know what it might be. "The amusement park is fun." I try to change the topic before it came out, but he was not gullible.
"Suzy I can't be what you want me to be to you, and please don't hold my hands again, I don't want Cindy to have a wrong thought about us."
"I love you," I said out loud to his hearing. "Nothing can ever change that." Jeffery shook his head but I continued. "Even if you have your back turned at me, at least I can still look at you from behind, even if you love Cindy, I will still be at this point waiting for you to turn to me."
"Suzy." He called out with a cold tune and I pressed my lips together. "Suzy, I don't want to give you false hope, I am so sorry, but the person I miss and want to see, even now, is Cindy White, goodbye Suzy." He turned and left me, without glancing back.
I threw down my bag in my room and buried my face in my hands. He did not even take.me home again, he just ran away to see Cindy.
I hate her so much, I wish she could just disappear and never come back ever again, I have to make plans for that.
I raised my head from my hands and sneers, the field trip on Saturday is when I will put my plan to practice.
I smirked. "Too bad Cindy, you have got to watch your backs from now on," I said to no one in particular as I lay on my bed, I am not a bad person I repeated in my head since that was what I felt like now.
Cindy is the one who is tempting me to do these things, I picked up my phone and looked after the picture of Jeffery which I took of him at the tent bar when he was drunk, for him I will do anything, to have him, I will go an extra mile
