Kelvin didn't know how to respond to her request. "Are you in your sound mind?" he asked.
"I know that you did this for me but I want you to undo this."
"The plan was to get Michael arrested and make him pay for his wrongs and now..."
"He already paid for them. I can't deny it anymore... I want him back."
Diego didn't say anything, all he did was to watch the two of them.
"Is he the only one you see?" Kelvin asked. "What can Michael give to you that I can't? W..what the hell is so special about Michael that you want to go back to him despite everything?"
"'cos he is the only that I... I have ever loved. I don't see myself with anyone but him. Why do you think I didn't accept your proposal? Why do you think I turned down Diego's proposal to date me? Be...because I was patiently waiting for this day to come." Tears rolled down her cheeks as she moved closer to Kelvin. "Please, release him. I still love him."
"Let me ask you one question Nora, if Michael changes from this saint he is appearing to be, what then?"
"I'd accept my fate for whatever it is." Nora replied without thinking twice.
"Kelvin, I think you just have to let her go. Her mind is already made up and there is nothing you can do to change it. Look on the bright side, the guy she is pregnant for, is still the same guy she wants to end up with. We can only wish her the best." Diego told Kelvin.
Kelvin knew Diego was right but he couldn't ignore the panging pain he felt in his chest. Why does the truth hurt so much. He turned to Nora and said, "I just want you to know that I might not be there for you when Michael turns all bad again." He grabbed his car keys and was about to leave when a groan was heard from Nora.
Her stomach was aching her and it has been a while she went to the hospital. She was slowly falling to the ground when Diego quickly rushed to her side to find out what's wrong. "Are you okay?"
"My sto..." she continued to breathe faster.
"I will take her to the hospital," Diego told Kelvin as he helped her up and out of the office.
Kelvin was angry and pained to the point that he didn't know if he could really do what she was asking him to do. But then, what is the point of holding on to someone who's mind is already set to go? She wasn't his to begin with but somehow, he hoped she would be at the end.
He opened the door and went out of the office and straight to the police station.

Michael was enjoying the food Nora brought from him when those five men approached him.
"I see someone was kind enough to feed you." One of them said but Michael ignored. He knew the old him would have shoved the food into their mouths and beat them up but this new him was restricting him from being violence. It made him look powerless but Michael didn't let it bother him.
They kept on saying mean words to him but Michael didn't care at all.
One of them took the food and kicked it. The food splashed to the ground. "Let's see if you will still be able to hold your anger."
Michael was furious and in a split seconds, he grabbed the neck of the man and just as he was about to punch him in the face, a voice stopped him and when he looked, he saw Kelvin with one of the prison guard.
He took his hands off the man and went to meet Kelvin.
"Mr. Michael Daniels, you are free to go home but you are under community service for five months." The head of the police told him. "Give him his clothes and let him go." The police told the warden who brought Michael's clothes and handed them to him.
Michael was out and as he and Kelvin walked side by side, no one said anything.
Kelvin got to his car and as he was about to enter his car, he stopped and turned around to look at Michael who was confused at what was going on. He pointed at him and said, "I hope you don't hurt her."
"Who?" Michael asked.
"She went to the hospital, I will take you there." He got into the driver's seat while Michael sat at the back seat. Normally, Michael's place was always at the front but now, he didn't want to be ahead of himself.
Kelvin noticed it and he looked at him from the mirror. He used that view minutes to study Michael and all he could come up with was that Michael was different. I hope this last. Was all he said before he started the engine and zoomed off.
Diego was checking up on Nora every now and then to check if she was doing okay. "Does this always happen?"
Nora looked at him but she couldn't say a word. The pain in her stomach didn't give her the strength to.
"Is it nine months already?" Diego asked.
Nora managed to smile amist the pain. "If it was, you won't be driving so slowly like this."
Diego smiled. He was silent for a while but after sometime, he said something to Nora. "Are you about this?" Diego glanced at her before focusing on the road. "I am not saying it is a bad idea or that I am against this but, this is Michael we are talking about. What if he is just doing this to get you and once he does, he goes back to hurting you?"
"Do you believe in change? Do you believe that bad people can change?" Nora looked at Diego as she patiently waited for his answers.
"Yes, I do but..."
"Then why should Michael's case be different?" Nora asked and Diego looked at her but didn't say anything as he drove to the hospital. The rest of the ride was driven in silence.
Deep within her heart, Nora was wishing she wasn't making a big mistake.
