Kelvin was in his office trying to look for another female model for Diego. There was a knock at the door that distracted his attention. He looked at the direction and saw Amanda with a file in her hand. He waved at her to come in. Amanda opened the door and brought the file to him. "Well, any luck?"
"Not quite, sire." She answered. "The models I met up with were demanding quite a huge sum of money."
Kelvin looked at the file as he breezed through the pages of the file searching for a reputable model he wouldn't mind paying a huge sum of money for. As he was going through the pages, he glanced at Amanda on several occasions and he felt like she had something to say but somehow, she was holding back so he closed the filed and gave her his attention. "What is it you have to say?" His question stunned her a bit and she shyly rubbed the back of her hair.
"Um, I was just wondering what happened to Nora and why she can't continue to be Diego's model. She is pretty good and Diego feels very comfortable around her."
Kelvin placed his hands under his chin and used few seconds to study her. "She is going through a lot at the moment and that is why she is not here. I am sure Diego understands and he has agreed to do this too. You don't need to worry about it."
"Ok sire."
"You can leave now."
Amanda left the office while Kelvin continued to go through the files. He wasn't quite sure yet if he would want another model but then he is left with no choice.
"You can't go in," He heard a voice say and when he turned, he saw Amanda trying to stop a man in black clothes from coming into the office but the man found his way in and locked the door.
Kelvin stood up and as he was about to meet the man, the man came in front of him, took off the hood and glasses and Kelvin was shocked to see Michael standing in front of him.
Michael looked at him and without asking for permission, he grabbed the seat in front of him and sat down. Kelvin grabbed his phone and was about to put a call through to the police. "Calling the cops?" Michael asked and without waiting for a reply he said, "Why don't you listen to what I have to say first and then you can decide if you still want to call the cops. If I could come here knowing well that you instigated this whole cop thing, you should know I was ready for anything."
Kelvin sat down to listen to whatever he had to say. "Tell me why you are here, Michael"
"I want Nora back." Kelvin was surprised. Despite everything he did to her, he still has the guts to say he wants her back? Michael doesn't go back to any girl he has broken up with but here he is trying to get back to the one person he has hurt so much. He tried to put all the pieces together but they didn't fit.
"Can you say something that makes sense?" Kelvin asked.
"I want Nora back, Kev. I know I have been an asshole and I don't deserve her but I can't seem to be myself without her. I am a changed person now, Kelvin and I know that I can be a better partner to her."
Kelvin laughed. "Are you f**king with me, Mike?" he asked. "You can't seem to be yourself without her. Which version of yourself are we talking about?"
"Kelvin, Listen..."
"No, you listen..." Kelvin cuts in. "...I don't care about your feelings right now towards her. I don't give a damn if you've changed or not. All I care about is Nora and I won't let you come close to her in anyway."
"She is carrying my child."
Kelvin scoffed. "You still keep tabs on people?"
"I have my resources." Michael answered. "I will do everything I can to get her back neither you nor the cops would be able to do anything about it." Kelvin couldn't believe his ears. "You know how I always get what I want right? I won't give up easily on Nora." He stood up, wore his hood and glasses and left the office. As he was about leaving Diego came to the office but he had no idea who that was.
He watched the man leave before going to meet his cousin who was downcast. "Who is he?" he asked.
"That was Michael."
Diego was shocked. "And you just let him leave like that?"
"I just had to listen to him."
"Okay fine. You have heard what he has to say, then what?"
Kelvin was disturbed. He knew Michael has his way to get what he wants and he knew if he didn't act fast, he would lose Nora and he wasn't sure he was ready for it.
Diego noticed how restless he was and asked him what was going on. Kelvin grabbed his jacket and was about to leave when Diego held his arm. "What is going on?"
Kelvin took a while before he sid what he was going to do, "I am going to ask Nora to marry me."
Diego eyes widened in shock as his hand slowly left Kelvin's arm. "Marry you?"
Kelvin nodded. "Listen, Diego, I know you love her but..."
"This isn't about me right now. Do you have any idea what you are doing? Asking her to marry you now that she is with Michael's child, are you even thinking straight?"
"If Michael gets her, I won't be able to forgive myself for allowing such to happen. I love her and I can't bear to see her with someone else."
"She needs time Kelvin. She has a lot on her plate already, adding..." Kelvin held Diego's shoulder to stop him from talking.
"Let me hear it from her directly." Kelvin told him and Diego nodded. "Take control of the company when I am gone." He patted his shoulder and left the office.
