They were all talking and laughing when the question popped up. "Who is getting married first?" Eleanora asked.
Every eyes fell on Michael and Nora. "Well, I can't have a wedding now that I am pregnant. I think we will have our wedding after." Nora was a little sad. She had always wanted to get married before getting pregnant but she can't have that now.
Michael noticed she was sad songs quickly held her hand and gave her a reassuring smile. She didn't know what he was reassuring her about but she was ready to trust and believe it.
"Well, I think the next couple would be Kelvin and Sara," Diego said with his hand on his chin while he studied the two of them.
"It's not wrong if you get married before us," Kelvin told him. "Right, honey?" he turned to Sara and gave her a kiss. Everyone shouted and clapped their hands.
Sara pulled away from the kiss and turned to them and said, "We will be the next couple, this kiss right here just proved it." She winked at Kelvin who was shocked at her reply.
Nora who knew her friend couldn't stop laughing.
The chat continued when a knock at the door interrupted them. Sara turned to Nora and asked, "expecting anyone?"
"Apart from my brother's spirit which I know wouldn't need to knock before entering, I don't think I am." Nora turned to Michael and asked him if he was expecting anyone but he shook his head.
Sara was about to get the door when Kelvin stopped her. "Whatever is there could be dangerous," he told her and she went back to get her seat while she joined in the conversation.
"Who is there?" asked Kelvin as he grabbed the handle of the door.
"Open the door," the voice said. It might have been a while they talked but he could still recognize the voice so he opened the door and was surprised to see Austin and White.
"Aren't you going to ask us in?" White asked.
Kelvin moved away and they entered inside the house.
Everyone's attention turned to the two guys standing afar of. Michael was shocked to see them and Sara was shocked to see Austin.
White and Austin walked up to them and greeted them. He could feel some tension in the air and he wasn't ready for this kind of atmosphere. "Can we just relax?" he asked them. "I am not here to harm anyone or anything," his eyes met those of Sara's who couldn't stop staring at him. "I just came to find out if truly what I heard is true. I guess it is true based on what I am seeing right now."
"Why are you here?" Sara asked.
Austin looked at Sara and after a while his eyes turned to the pregnant lady sitting next to Michael. "I came to apologize to someone," he said. "I guess Michael has come clean and I feel the need to do the same so I can have peace of mind."
Nora smiled. "The moment I forgave Michael, I forgave everyone else that was involved in my dilemma." She filled the spaces of Michael's fingers with hers and looked at him with a smile on her face then later she turned to Austin and White and she said, "I forgive you both."
"Really?" White and Austin asked in unison.
"Yes. It's a good thing you both joined us today, I will go and get something for you to eat and drink." She was about to stand up but Sara offered to help. She went to the kitchen and brought some food and drinks for them. She handed White his own and she handed Austin his own too.
"Can I see you outside for a while? " he whispered to Sara.
Sara glanced at Kelvin but he seemed to be engrossed in the discussion so she nodded.
After Austin had eaten, he took excuse that he needed to make a call and he left.
Sara didn't want it to look suspicious so she told Kelvin that she needed to go and get something down the street. Kelvin didn't think too much about it so he agreed.
Austin and Sara met outside and the first question he asked was, "Are you dating Kelvin?" Sara didn't say anything so he went further with the questions. "Are you planning to end up with a guy that is in love with your best friend?"
"He loves me now, Austin." Sara told him.
"Did you agree to date him because you are tired of being single? Why him, Sara? Why?"
Sara was stunned at the question, "what do you mean by, why him? Can't I date the one I love?"
"What about me?"
"I don't understand. You never told me you were still in love with me."
"But that day..."
"That day, you only came to confess your deeds. I was hoping that maybe perhaps you came to make up for what happened between us and ask us to start over again but you didn't say anything like that."
"I thought..."
"You thought I knew? How was I supposed to know, Austin? I am not a mind reader who can tell what is in a person's mind."
"So are you saying it is too late?" Austin asked but Sara was silent. "Are you saying I have no chance with you ever again?"
Sara nodded. "I have to go in now." She was about to leave when he held her hand, pulled her close and as he was about to kiss her forcefully , Kelvin appeared out of nowhere, held his girlfriend's hand, pulled her to himself and punched Austin in the face, making him fall to the ground.
"Are you okay?" Kelvin asked Sara while he examined her face carefully. "Did he touch you?"
Sara couldn't believe that Austin would do that to her. She thought he just wanted to have a mere conversation and that was why she agreed.
Austin stood up and touched his bleeding lips. "I am sorry, Sara...I..."
"Get the f**k out of here!" Michael told him and he went inside with his girlfriend.
Austin had no idea why he did that to her. Will they ever forgive him?
