Kelvin took Sara to his house and immediately they got there, his father was waiting for them inside the house. Kelvin opened the door and shut it after Sara came in.
"I see you went to get her back." His father said.
Kelvin was surprised to see his father up at this time. "Why aren't you sleeping dad?"
"I had to make sure you brought her home safe and sound. She seems like a very good young lady."
Kelvin turned to look at Sara and then he remembered all the things she had done for her besr friend, Nora. She was selfless, caring and beautiful both in and out. He cleared his throat and turned to his father, "you can go to bed now." His father nodded and went to his room. He turned to Sara and said, "What did you so to my dad? I have never seen him care about someone before." Sara was mute. How was she supposed to answer when she had no idea either. "Let's go."
They went upstairs to his room. Sara stood at the door while Kelvin went to the bed. He noticed her standing there and he was puzzled. "What are you doing there?"
"Um..." She looked around and all she could see was just one bed. "...where am I sleeping?" She asked. "I can only see one bed..."
Kelvin patted to the space next to him. "You are sleeping with me... I don't worry, nothing is going to happen. If you want to sleep on the floor, it is your choice but you will freeze to death."
Really? Sara thought. He isn't just saying to this to make me sleep next to him, right?
Kelvin was waiting for her to give a reply but all Sara could do was think.
"I hate cold..." She moved closer to him and slept beside him. "...I will be gone by tomorrow." She said before turning her face away from him.
Kelvin smiled. He laid down and turned to face her. "Why don't I see you any man?" His question stunned Sara. She wasn't ready to go through her past and talk about her failed relationships. "You are beautiful, caring and you've got a nice body too. I just don't get it."
"They all broke up with me." She turned to face him.
"What?"
Sara nodded. "I have had eighteen relationships and none was able to withstand the test of time."
"Eigh....Eighteen?" Kelvin nearly choked.
"All I was used for was just for pleasure. That was all my pretty face and sexy body could me."
"Oh..."
"I don't think I am girlfriend material. I don't even think I will get married." She gave a bittersweet smile.
"Maybe I am just not worth falling in love with or maybe...there is something wrong with me?" Sara said. Her voice sounded sad that Kelvin knew she would cry soon if the conversation goes on but he was curious about her and wanted to know her more. "I just wanted someone to love me and that was why I continued to search for a partner. A normal person would have stopped at two or three but I went on, with the hope that someday, I will find someone that loves me and who wouldn't take advantage of me...but..." She paused. "...I guess that person probable died or something."
Kelvin looked at her and the next thing he did was to pull her close to himself. "Should we give it a try?" Sara's eyes widened in shock. "Will you be my girlfriend, Sara?" All Sara could do was stare at him. She wasn't sure this was making any sense. "Will you accept me as your nineteenth boyfriend?" The tears slowly slept her eyes and fell on the pillow she was resting her head on. Is this real? She asked. "Can I have a chance with you? I won't kiss you unless you permit me and I won't touch you unless you want me to."
"Kelvin..."
"I just need a yes from you right now, Sara. Give me a chance to be part of your life."
"Kel..." he pulled her closer and kissed her. She hesitated a while before allowing herself to enjoy his warm lips on hers.
After a while, he pulled away. "I thought you said you would ask for my permission before you kiss me."
"Well, you haven't agreed to be my girlfriend yet." Sara rolled her eyes at me. "Is that a yes?"
"It would end up like other relationships but yes, I will be your girlfriend."
Kelvin smiled and when she looked at him, she smiled too.

Michael was taking good care of Nora. His joy knew no bounds as he stared at the one he broke up with only to find himself with her again. "Nora," he called. Nora gaze up at him but said nothing. "Why did you accept me back? Why didn't just move on with your life and get yourself a good man? Why...did you come back to me?"
Nora sat up and held his hands. She took a deep breath and she made just one statement that answered all the questions. "Because you are the only one for me." Michael was about to tear up but he didn't. "Now my turn to ask," Michael looked at her and waited for her to throw in her question. "What would you have done if you found out that it was too late and I was probably engaged to someone else?"
"I would do everything to ruin it..."
"Uh?"
Michael laughed at her expression. "I would ask for your forgiveness and wish you all the best 'cos I know I don't deserve you."
She slapped his shoulders lightly. "You scared me." she said.
"Well, I wasn't lying when I said it but I would consider your happiness. If it makes you happy then I would let you."
"We will be going to see my brother tomorrow, is that okay by you?"
"Andrew?" Nora nodded. "I should ask for his permission if I intend to spend the rest of my life with his sister, right?"
Nora smiled, pulled him close and kissed him. Michael gladly took it from there.
