A few weeks later, Michael left the house early in the morning and went over to Kelvin's house as they needed to get something important.
Sara was left to take care of Nora. Nora had been feeling weak lately, she couldn't eat and she couldn't do anything.
She threw up most of the food Sara prepared for her. Sara was in the kitchen preparing their breakfast when she heard a shout from the sitting room. She thought it was nothing and went on with the food she was cooking but when she shout came again as a little bit louder than the first, she turned off the gas and ran to meet Nora.
Nora was on the ground, holding her stomach and screaming. Sara ran to help her up and she took her phone. She didn't need to be told that the baby was on the way. She called Kelvin and she was glad he picked up immediately. "Hi sunshine,"
"Hey babe, is Michael there with you?"
"Yes. Is everything okay?"
"Nora is in labour right now. I didn't bring my car and Michael took his car too. I will have to board a taxi."
"Are you sure? Why don't you wait for us to come back?"
"I can wait but the baby can't." She hung up and concentrated on Nora. "Can you stand?" Nora tried to but it was like the baby was pulling her down. "Okay, put your arms around me, " Nora did as she was told and Sara held her waist and she managed to raise Nora on her feet.
They managed to go out of the house and Sara boarded a taxi. The driver had to assist Sara in getting Nora inside the car.
They got in and the driver drove to the hospital.
Nora was moaning in pain and slamming her hands on the chair and on Sara's body. The pain was unbearable.
"Nora, just calm down, okay?" She rubbed her best friend's palm. "Can we go a little faster, please?"
The driver accelerated and the got to the hospital just in time. The driver was kind enough to help Nora inside the hospital where the nurses took over from there.
Sara thanked the driver and as she was about to pay him, she figured that she didn't take any money with her. "Oh my God! I didn't..."
The driver smiled. "It's fine. I am sure you forgot." Sara was surprised. Why was this man being kind to them? The man noticed and he said this to answer her question. "My wife died on her way to the hospital..."
Sara felt remorseful for the man. "So sorry for your loss."
"It's fine. I promised myself that I would do the little I can do to help any pregnant woman I see. I couldn't do anything for my wife but I can do it for someone else."
"Thank you so much," the man waved it off and left her.
"Excuse me, ma'am" Sara turned and saw one of the nurses infront of her. "We would like you to fill some forms, please."
Sara nodded and followed the nurse.

"I guess your girlfriend couldn't stay a day without hearing from you. Did she call you to ask you when you are coming to see her?" Michael Asked Kelvin as he looked at the rings that were being presented to him. He was studying their features as the seller explained how much the rings cost and other things.
"Don't panic..." Kelvin told Michael.
Michael pointed to the rings he wanted and paid the man. "What do you mean? Did you guys break up again?"
"Your wife is in the hospital right now. She is in labour which means you are going to be a father soon."
"Wait! What? And you kept this from me?"
He didn't wait to hear what Kelvin had to say, he ran out of the store. Kelvin was just smiling as he ran after him.
Michael had gotten to the driver's seat and was about to drive off. Kelvin didn't bother himself and just stood there.
"Come on, man! I want to be there when she puts to birth."
Kelvin laughed and went inside the car. "Someone seeing you now would think you haven't broken this girl's heart before."
Michael turned to look at him but he didn't say anything and drove off. Kelvin brought out the rings and he was impressed with his choice. "It's not about the rings though."
"What?"
"I mean sometimes it's the ring that joins them together but it is not the ring that keeps them together. You know what I mean? "
Michael didn't need him to elaborate because he understood exactly what Kelvin was saying.
Getting Nora the most expensive ring doesn't mean that would be enough to keep them together forever. He had already f**ked up once, does he have what it takes to keep his family together?
"I think I will get Sara something like this too."
Michael smiled.
They arrived at the hospital. Michael parked the car and went in. They saw Sara sitting next to a ward and they went to meet her.
Kelvin hugged her and kissed her like his life depended on it. Sara slapped his shouders and signaled him to look behind him and when he did, he saw some kids and their mothers were giving him weird looks. Kelvin didn't mind. "Come on, I am sure those kids have seen their parents kissed lots of times."
"How's she?" Michael asked Sara.
"I haven't heard any news from the doctor or nurse but I am sure she will be fine."
Michael sat down and was praying to God for the first time in his life.
They waited for a while and the doctor came to meet them and asked, "Who is the father?" Michael stood up and went to meet the doctor. "Congratulations, your wife has just given birth to a beautiful baby boy."
"Really?" Michael's face lit up with a smile. He hugged the doctor and the doctor was kind to allow him because he knew how happy Michael was feeling. "Can we go in to see her?"
"Of course. Congratulations once again." The doctor said and he left.
"Congratulations" Kelvin hugged Michael and Sara hugged him too before they entered the room.
The nurse handed the baby over to Nora and when Nora saw her beautiful baby, she smiled. She looked up and saw Sara, Kelvin and her husband. Michael walked up to meet her and kissed her.
The nurse smiled before leaving them alone.
"I should tell Diego about this," Sara brought out her phone and went out to make the call.
"He looks so much like you," Michael said as he noticed that the baby has the same face like Nora and the same lips too.
"I am sure he has your eyes but we have to wait for him to open his eyes for us to see."
Michael nodded. "How are you feeling?"
Nora sighed, "I am glad the nine months is finally over and the delivery was successful."
"Thanks a lot for bringing him into this world and not getting rid of him."
Nora smiled and they kissed again.
Diego and his girlfriend came into the ward, "I came as soon as I heard." he moved closer to Nora and hugged her. He saw the baby and was like, "Damn, this baby is cute. He looks so much like Nora. " he turned to Michael and said, "Didn't you do it well, he doesn't look like you at all." Diego teased. Kelvin, Nora, Sara and Eleanora were laughing.
"I am sure he has my eyes."
Diego nodded sarcastically. "Congratulations to you, guys!"
After the room was a little quiet, Michael called Nora's name and when she looked at him, he went down on his knees, took her hand and said, "Eleanora Bell, I know that I don't deserve you and I don't deserve this kind of gift that you have given to me today..."
Everyone stood with their partners and watched the scene. Nora was dumbfounded. This was the least thing she was expecting on a day like this but she listened to each and every word he was saying.
"...I don't know how to prove that I love you. I know that words alone isn't enough and actions might not be able to show the depth of my love to you but I want you to believe my words and know that I truly love you from the depth of my heart."
"Michael..." Nora couldn't hold back the tears that slowly rolled down her cheeks.
"Today, I want to ask you this question and I don't need you to think about it." He paused and dipped his hand in his pocket and brought out a ring. "Miss Eleanora Bell, will you be my wife?"
Nora burst into tears. She never thought this would happen, no one ever thought this would happen. How is it possible that the same man that broke her heart and shattered her heart into pieces is the same man that is mending her broken heart?
"Nora, we are all waiting for your reply."
Nora looked at Michael and nodded. "Yes, I will be your wife." Immediately she said that, Michael slid the ring into her finger and they kissed for a very long time.
The other couples clapped their hands and each grabbed their partners and kissed them.
