Sydney Marin Chapter 90

Jacen’s POV: We all gathered in our room to take a drop of Sydney’s blood. That’s how Kassidy will finish the portion. I never really prayed for anything so badly. I only want to get out of this hell with Sydney. The day is getting closer than I could imagine. We need to find the hall of mirrors as soon as possible. “Is the portion ready?” Sydney asked Lydia and Kassidy. “Almost ready. We only want Pamela’s blood to finish it.” Kassidy replied. She kept the bottle of portion in the room. Zissa will bring it to us after dinner. Everything is working out perfectly. Mason and Phoebe are in their room. They are bearing their pain all alone. Lydia is going to stay with them until we finish our dinner. I don’t even want to eat at all under this pressure. “Iam so nervous, Jacen.” Suddenly Sydney told, getting hold of my hands. She decided to fight tomorrow without having a second thought. But she did it for that human. If I were in that place, I wouldn’t have done that. “Don’t worry, baby. Everything is happening according to our plan. I won’t let you die. We all are going back alive.” I assured her as I pressed my lips on her forehead. She nodded her head. Within minutes, we are in the hall. Dorothy and some other unknown persons are sitting in the chair. The whole dinner looks like a feast. Why the hell is Lilith doing this when all she’s going to do is kill us? “Iam not a big fan of meat. I don’t want to eat this,” Kassidy complained, seeing the food items. We all sat down together. Lilith is on her throne, watching us. No one uttered a single word. I started eating without waiting for anyone. It’s not like Iam freaking hungry. But as soon as we finish this, I can go to the room to knock out Pamela and get her blood. “Are you all enjoying your dinner?” Dorothy asked in a caring voice. “What are you going to do if we don’t enjoy it? Just shut up and eat.” Sydney snapped at her. Before Dorothy opened her mouth to speak, I stood up from the table. “Thanks for dinner from the devils,” I told and left the hall. “Iam not a devil, darling? This is not the way how you call me.” I heard Lilith’s voice when I walked out of the hall. Within a flash of seconds, I reached the guest room. I waited for Kassidy. Kassidy was supposed to leave the hall followed by me. “Waiting for someone, hottie,” someone touched my shoulder. I recognized that the voice belonged to Jade. “First, step away. Now, did you get the key to the room?” I came straight to the point. “Yeah, I did,” she said, spinning the golden key on her index finger. “Iam here.” Kassidy came panting, running down the corridor. “I couldn’t eat those meats. I hate it,” she said disgustingly. “Anyway, you are here. Let’s go.” I motioned them to move. We sneaked through the glass window in the door. Pamela is inside the room examining a book from the front cover to the back cover. Jade opened the door and slammed the door open. “Hello. Are you surprised to see us?” Jade asked with an evil smile on her face. It seems like she’s totally on our side. “How? How did you...Guards...Dorothy?” Pamela stammered and shouted. Immediately, Jade got a knife from her pant pocket and throw it straight at Pamela. She shrieked with her hands covering her face. The knife hit the glass cupboard. The glass shattered right in front of us, making a loud noise. “Do you want to get anyone’s attention? I could have handled her by myself.” I shouted at Jade. “Iam helping you. You should be grateful for me,” she replied, and approached Pamela. She took a broken piece of glass and cut through Pamela’s wrist. “Ahh... What the hell are you doing? What do you want from me?” Pamela yelled, and that’s the last word she spoke. Jade snapped her neck within a second. “My work’s here is done. Make the portion now.” Jade commanded Kassidy. Jade is more determined to do this than us. I never thought visiting the world will be the biggest dream for anyone? Especially for a demon in hell. “Hey. Is this the portion?” Zissa came through the open door, showing the portion bottle. “Yeah.” I took the bottle and gave it to Kassidy. She will take care of the rest of the work. Kassidy carefully poured some drops of blood on the portion. She stirred it and I kept my eyes on the door. It’s time for Sydney’s entry. She should be here now. ..... Sydney’s POV: I ate steak when my mind is worrying about what’s happening in the room. I think I should go now. They must have finished their work. I should go now. I don’t have full trust in Zissa and Jade. Even so, I made a deal with those demons. “Thank you for this feast, Queen. My days in the hell are always amazing.” Dorothy happily said. Oh, no. She’s leaving. She should not leave now. Not now. No. No. No. Amelia and Noah are sitting on either side of me. I kicked Amelia’s legs under the table. She dropped her spoon and looked alarmed. “What’s up with your daughter? Why isn’t she in hell?” Amelia asked Dorothy loudly. We need to keep Dorothy busy till our work is done. Amelia is trying to do that. “What? When did you think about Cassie? She doesn’t need to be in hell.” Dorothy furrowed her eyebrows. “I see. I guess she deserves to be in hell.” Amelia told, taking a whole spoon of rice. “What do you mean by that? My daughter doesn’t deserve to be in hell.” Dorothy slammed her hands on the table. I gave the signal to Amelia to keep her occupied, not make her angry. She failed.
