Sydney Marin Chapter 83

Sydney’s POV: After half an hour, I got ready. I wore a fitting t-shirt and blue jeans. It’s funny that I can get any type of dress in hell. But only in this castle, not everywhere in the hell. “Iam so glad you woke up. We have a lot of things to do today. First, we are heading to the library. It may take half a day to learn about Lilith and this place. Hurry up. I will explain to you everything on the way,” Kassidy impatiently spoke. She’s determined to help me. “Okay. But you should slow down,” I told her as I spotted Noah heading out of his room. He and Amelia walked towards Jacen. I guess they are going together to find what Dorothy is up to. Noah is only two steps away from me. If I could get five minutes, I will talk to him. “Noah, could you mind if I...” I started the conversation and stopped it as he didn’t even attention to me. “Let’s go, bro. We have to see what the bitch is up to?” he threw his arms around Jacen and walked down the stairs. What did I do badly? He’s not even respecting me. Jacen doesn’t listen to what I have said. You must have walked absent minded. But Noah avoided me on purpose. “Don’t take it wrong, Sydney. But please don’t disturb Noah. He’s not a situation to talk with you.” Amelia silently whispered before going with the brothers. “Are you supporting him? I just want to talk with him.” “I know. I will always be on your side. Right now, I can’t be. If you are going to talk to him about how the Queen lied to him, then forget it. He needs time to forget about his powers and you too.” “Me?” “Yeah. You. You got united with Jacen again. You don’t know how it will affect him. At least stay away from him till you win this fight. Don’t take it wrong. I got to go. Bye.” She left without waiting for my reply. Maybe she’s right. “Are you coming, Sydney?” Lydia called me. I nodded and joined both of them. Somehow Kassidy found the way to the library. The large room is filled with many bookshelves. There’s a pile of dust on every single book. All the books are fragile, which could be damaged if I turned a single page. “Holy shit, I don’t know this language,” I said when I opened a book carefully. “Shut up. We have permission to go anywhere, but don’t be too loud. Let me handle this,” Kassidy scolded me and took the book. She raised her eyebrow after looking at the title. “What?” “Really? This book isn’t going to help us. Search something useful.” she handed over the book back to me. ‘How to find portraits of the human world?’ Right. This title won’t be useful to defeat Lilith. I started searching for something useful to find more about Lilith. “I got something,” Lydia said, opening a large book. “What’s it saying?” “Wait, I need time to translate it?” Lydia said and keenly looked at it. “Can I ask you something?” Kassidy started with hesitation. “Yeah,” “Don’t take it wrong. But your boyfriend is so irritating. It was so hard to stop him from ruining any chances. He desperately wants to save you but he ruining everything wherever he goes. To be exact, he couldn’t have found you if we aren’t with him.” Seriously, I should be angry with her. He’s not an irritating person. She doesn’t have good eyes to see the good in him. “You are wrong. He’s capable of finding me, even without anyone. Iam grateful for your help but you don’t know him fully. He could do anything by himself.” I calmly said, leaning on the bookshelves. “Sometimes. It happens sometimes. Iam saying it because he helped me reach the castle alive.” “Oh. He didn’t tell me about it. How did you reach here with my aunt?” “We both met her unexpectedly. We fall off the cliff. We would have burned in the volcano, but fortunately found a cave. In the cave, we found Lydia. She taught me a spell to transport us to the castle.” Kassidy simply told without explaining more about the situation. “Thank you so much, Kassidy. Iam glad you are here,” I said, feeling grateful for her help. Without her, things have been difficult. Suddenly, she gave a confused look. I said something stupid. “Iam not glad that you are in hell. Iam glad that you are here to help me. Sorry, I wasn’t good at explaining,” I stuttered. “I understood.” she laughed a little. “I got it. Hear me. Hell exists in the early fourteenth century. She’s the mother of demons. The demons are all in the skeleton appearances, which we have already seen. Then the stunning body doesn’t belong to her. She glamoured herself to hide her hideous face.” “Is there any picture of how she truly looks?” I asked Lydia. “No. This book only contains texts. Now, where am I? She’s both a demon and a witch. Her power will be in fire colour, just like Hell. She can destroy anyone to ashes and give their life back like how she did to Dorothy. If someone gets help from her, there will be consequences. We already know that it’s losing our powers. The more power she gets, she gets more powerful. She’s been doing this from the fifteenth century.” “I don’t think it will be easy to fight her. Iam sorry for saying this.” Kassidy silently muttered. “She got no one to control her as Lucifer left the hell a century ago. She’s the only one in charge to look after Hell.” “There’s also a reason for hell looking like any other places in the world?” “What’s the reason? That’s the thing going in my mind for a month.” I eagerly asked her. “I want to know that, too. Because I never thought I will get room to stay in hell. Have time to visit a library in hell.” Kassidy asked with the same eagerness I have.
