Sydney’s POV:
He pulled me into his lap. He kissed me like I’m the water to satisfy his thirst. I can’t even remember the last time I felt these lips on mine. I have been through a lot to finally get this pleasure.
“I still can’t get my mind off from my grief. I want you to win this fight. I will do anything to let you win. Even if it’s done through cheating, baby,” Jacen said sadly, but didn’t stop trailing kisses on my face till my neck.
“I want to win by myself. I don’t want to cheat, Jacen,” I moaned while replying. Usually, no one will talk about death, cheat, fight while making out. But we do. That’s our fate.
“There’s nothing wrong with cheating, baby. I still don’t truth the Queen. We need to be prepared with a backup plan if she had any cunning plan.” He told me and started to remove my clothes one by one.
“It’s settled then. Iam okay with whatever you are going to plan. But please don’t talk about anything about depression. For now, please,” I begged while I worked on his shirt. We both tossed our clothes and grabbed the bedsheet.
“Sure, baby. If anyone can take all my pain, then it’s you. My life would have been nothing if you weren’t in it. So, I can strongly say all these struggles are worth it.” he melted me with his word. And that was the last thing we spoke. After that, our body was the one who talked. I can simply say in three words.

I don’t know when did I sleep. But I felt so relieved. Tonight, was the time I felt so happy.
“What’s wrong, baby?” Jacen asked, pulling me closer to his body.
“Nothing. What time it is?” I asked him.
“I don’t know. Let’s sleep. I love to cuddle with you,” he murmured and kissed my cheek. He’s totally in a sleepy mood while I can’t sleep anymore. One night is over. Two more to go.
“No. We should wake up.” I urged him and grabbed the watch from the table. That’s the only watch I had which was given by Kassidy.
“It’s only 2:30,”
“Yeah. Then come here, baby. We got a lot more time for the day. Plus, there won’t be a day at all in hell,” Jacen sleepily told. Then we cuddled again with our naked bodies.
“I can’t sleep. Iam afraid of what I might face tomorrow.” I told Jacen as I buried my face in his chest.
“It’s okay, baby. I am with you. All you need to do is have hope like you always do. We will all do the rest of the work.” he replied, stroking my hair.
Suddenly I got a remembrance of an important thing that I didn’t share with Jacen.
“The Queen’s a liar like you said before. She took your brother’s lightning power. He lost it to find me. That guilt is killing me. Did he tell you about that? Of course, he wouldn’t have told. You both didn’t get time to talk with each other.” I blabbered.
“What? Did he lose his power? Why didn’t anyone tell me about that? That’s the special power he got from training in the Academy. He can’t lose that. Iam going to fucking kill that Queen by myself. Why come no one uttered a word about that?” Jacen shouted, getting awake from the sleepy and calm mood.
“Iam sorry. I didn’t get time to say it.”
“I get it, baby. I am not angry with you. He should have told it to me by himself. Iam his brother. I need to know if he got into any trouble.”
“He can’t tell. He always keeps his worries to himself. That’s who he is. The Queen treated him so unfairly. If I could win this fight, I will definitely get Noah’s power back.” I confidently told.
“I know you will do, baby. We are going to get back everything we have lost,” he said and kissed my forehead. It was sweet and caring.
“Can we go back to sleep now? I really missed you. If I can spend some time with you alone, then it will be this day before the fight. I want to embrace this moment.” Jacen asked, holding me tighter like he had some fear that I might be gone in any moment. This is not going to happen, because Iam naked. But anything could happen after two days. I might live or I might not.
The next morning, I was not the one who woke up early. When I looked up at the watch, it’s already seven. There’s no difference in the sky.
“Jacen?” I called him when I couldn’t find him next to me. Where did he go?
“Jacen? Where are you?” I called him again. I looked at the door, which was still locked.
“Iam here, baby. Good morning. Did you sleep well?” he appeared from the bathroom. He’s wearing the towel right at his waist. I can’t stop looking at his abs, even though I have seen it many times before.
“Yeah... yeah. I slept well.”
“Good, baby. Lydia and Kassidy are waiting outside for you. I think there are going to take you to the library. I don’t know what’s the use in it, but I got no choice than trusting them.” he told.
“It will be useful. So, you will be there too?” I asked with a little bit of doubt. I reunited with him after a month. For him, it’s a day. But it’s much longer for me.
“I won’t be there. My brother and I need to monitor Dorothy. I wish I could be there with you all the time. But we will get more time once you win this fight. Iam counting on it, baby,” he optimistically spoke.
“Yeah. Iam counting on it too,” I replied and kissed him. I parted my lips as he slipped his tongue into my mouth. His one hand is on my hair and the other on my back. We both are breathless after a few minutes. It won’t last long. We don’t have that much time. I trailed my hand down his chest and looked into his dazzling eyes. I can get lost in it for a million years. If only I got that many years to live.
