Sydney’s POV:
Amelia’s words ringed in my ears. Iam speechless. I was acting stupid by being angry with Noah, but he lost his powers to get me back. Why did he do that? That’s so generous of him. I never did something good to him. In fact, I hurt him by rejecting him. Still, he did this all to me. I feel like some cruel girl. Maybe more cruel than Cassie.
I remember the day when Noah helped me to win the Paranormal games. He fought the cyclops with his lightning powers. That’s when I know, Vampire has such type powers. It’s so rare.
“You got to learn to shut your mouth up, Amelia,” Noah shouted at her and walked faster than us.
“Noah, Iam...” I started, but he vanished in a minute.
“Where does he go?” I directed my question to Amelia. “Just follow me. I know the route in this castle,” she said and lead us to a long hallway.
“I want to make it up with Noah. I feel like a horrible person. I never cared for him as much as I cared for Jacen. Iam afraid I might lose his friendship,” I spoke in fear, biting my nails.
“Iam not sure of what to say. He still loves you. He can’t get you out of his mind. He’s going to yell at me for telling this. That ears can hear everything from any distance.” She calmly said. I don’t know what should I do?
“Iam sorry, Sydney. I can’t help you with this. You can only have one and lose others. The rest of the things will be in fate’s hands. Whether you lose one of the vampire brothers forever or at least have him as a friend.” she said, deciding in my hands. Maybe I shouldn’t think about it now. I got a lot of things to worry about. One of the problems is to apologize to Noah for the way I treated him.
“Fine. Tell me how the Queen looks. Do you think it will be easy to approach her and get what we want?” I asked, and got a reply from Phoebe.
“Nope. You are not the only ones who want help from the hell Queen. Iam here, too. Whether she can help all of us or she should give up on all of us. I won’t bother with it if you didn’t get your wish. In fact, I would feel happy.”
“What’s the matter with you? You are always targeting me like I did something terrible to you. I don’t even know you till I reached Hell.” the arguments started with this and I have no idea where it will lead us.
“I hate you. Do you hear me? I don’t want you to get what you want. I won’t let you get it. Don’t underestimate me cause Iam a human. You are not going to leave unless you help me get my life back.”
“Then hear me say it loud and clear. Iam not going to help you. I can rather help Mason than you. Watch me,” I said, voluntarily taking sides with Mason. He’s the one who helped me get through this hell.
“You can rot in hell,” she said like we all are on Earth, chilling up and suddenly having a fight. What the heck is that supposed to mean?
“Iam already rotting in hell or soon I will be.”
“You are making things worse, Phoebe. If you are going to act like this in front of the Queen, Iam sure that you won’t even get a chance to live in hell.” Mason scolded her. That was a good point. Maybe she should talk like this so the Queen itself wants to destroy her soul in hell.
“Do you think I will behave like this in front of her? Iam not stupid like you,” she insulted us and flipped her hair.
“Yeah, you are right. We are stupid, but you are a psycho,” Amelia joined the argument this time. Before Mason’s sister could say anything, we reached the throne room.
“Can we come in?” Amelia whispered to Noah, who’s already in the large room. The room is filled with demons and evil gods. Iam not aware of the names. It’s like how Noah explained. The room’s walls are in bronze colour. My eyes wandered over to the throne. Lilith is seated on the throne. She looked gorgeous in a black dress and on the other side it’s evil too.
We all walked straight towards Noah and stood next to him. I know this is not the right time to talk to him, but I tried.
“Noah. Are you?”
“Cut it. This is not the time, Sydney,” I trialled off when he said it. But Iam not angry at him anymore. I deserve this.
“My darling children, tell me what do I need to do for you?” Lilith started in her charming voice.
“We...” Noah trialled off when he got interrupted by the Queen itself.
“You already explained everything. You all want to get out of hell. I can do that but I can sense that some in your group are dead.” She indirectly talked about Mason and Phoebe.
“I need your help, Queen. I want to bring someone back to life. That’s the reason we are here,” I immediately said. There’s silence in the room.
“Who do you want to bring back? Those two children?” she asked as her eyes moved towards the humans. I can’t say yes or no. I want to bring Lydia back. But I can’t live with Mason here. He already crossed the border and reached the castle. Mason and Phoebe can’t survive for so long. What can I wish for? Whatever I wish for, there will be consequences. I don’t care about Phoebe, but I do care about Mason. What should I do now?
