"YOU'RE GREAT..." The girl teases him and glances at me before raising an eyebrow. She's now staring down at my body and drawing a smirk.
"Is she your P.A?" she asked at Rexon.
Rexon did not respond.
"As I expected." The girl stated after laughing as if annoyed.
I need to clear my throat to get able to avoid everything I heard but she keeps teasing Rexon.
I decided to drink the wine from my glass again before speaking.
"Ah, excuse me, I have to go to the bathroom!" I immediately stood up to feel the dizziness.
"Hey, are you alright? Do you want me to go with you?" Jeff's offer.
"Shut up, Dude!" I heard Rexon say that he was hugging his two girls.
"It's okay Jeff. " I smiled at this before I glanced at Rexon who suddenly rose back on the couch.
I saw Jeff give Skye another high five before laughing. I started to turn away from them to feel Jeff following me.
"Where is the CR here?" I asked him straining to make up the cracked voice.
"Towards the end I guess." I fell on my shoulders as we walked so I took a deep breath.
"I hope you don't mind asking me this. Do you have a boyfriend?" His voice is now turned into a husky one.
I pressed my lips to the possible answer.
"I haven't yet one," I answered and gave him a tipsy smile.
"Great, so you are freely courted by anyone?" he asked again.
"I'm not ready to entertain suitors yet. There's a lot more important to do than having a love life." I spoke softly so that he would not be offended.
"Not everyone, others prefer to have a love life despite the problem they are facing right now. That's plus motivation and more inspiration." He then chuckled.
I shook my head slowly, he has a point, but for someone like me who just moves on from pain and frustration, I don't think I can embrace that principle. You don't need someone who could easily mend your broken heart in an instant. It takes time and courage to bring back the pieces again.
"Ah, I'm okay. Just wait for me out here," I said as we reached the comfort room.
I looked in the mirror and slightly straightened my hair. It wasn't long before I heard voices arguing outside, but because of the alcohol, I just ignored it.
I went straight to the cubicle and the noise I heard earlier was getting louder which made my forehead frown.
I quickly adjusted myself before hopefully going out but I was suddenly worried about the guys earlier at the Bar. Maybe they were the ones outside and just waiting for me to come out?
I seemed to lose color at the thought and quickly hugged myself. I leaned against the wall and blinked emphatically. I spent a few more minutes before daring to come out realizing it was quiet outside.
I slowly turned the door open and peeked around when I saw the man leaning near the door wearing his trademark leather jacket, brown leather shoes, and his black trouser. He crossed his arm around his chest which made me swallow.
I was immediately settled when he glanced at me. And I quickly looked for Jeff.
"Rexon? What are you doing here?" I struggled to adjust my posture because of the beating of my heart.
"Waiting for you?" His lips rose.
"Where is Jeff?" I asked instead.
He didn't answer but he just shrugged his shoulders before we arranged to step on our feet.
I immediately backed away and held on tightly to the doorknob. I hate how my body reacts whenever he neared me.
"Did you like him, do you?" he asked in a deep cold voice.
I frowned at his question.
"Come on! He does like you too." He seemed like another taunt after he said that.
"I don't understand what you are trying to say," I replied and looked away.
But he took one step towards me so I was back again. He looked at me from head to toe, and right now, I could feel the awkwardness between us.
"You were just an ordinary girl, nothing is too special in you for her to like." Again he crossed his arms around his chest then give me a smirk.
I swallow the pain that he is feeding me. He was right. Nothing special to me. I am just an ordinary girl as simple as he thinks I am.
But, I am not that easy to get, I am sure of that.
"Thanks for the compliments, Mr. Perfect!" I sarcastically said.
I am nothing compare to those girls who are sat beside him and giving him the pleasure that he wanted. So I would rather be simple than like by man who loves only my body.
He grinned after holding on to the door jamb. It was only now that I realized that I was inside the CR again and he was blocking my way.
"And I don't like you either." He turned up his lips on mine and eyed me from head to toe.
I bit my lip hard as if it wanted to bleed at any moment because of the insult.
"You are not the type of girl I want." His eye dropped again to my lips further down to my body.
"This.That slender body?" Then shake his head.
The redness quickly rose to my two cheeks. I could also feel the warmth of my ears from what I heard. No wonder I hugged myself and looked at him with sharp eyes.
"Then I'm sorry If I'm not as sexy as the ones you're sleeping with! I'm sorry if my body isn't proud of anything compared to the ones next to you before whose breasts are almost bulging to you!" I tried my best but I couldn’t help but break my voice.
I didn't want to but I was hurt by what he said. There’s no question that she prefers a sexier and more proud body than me who has a thin body, but does she have to say that?
I saw that the expression on his face was different from what I said.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you." he apologized.
"Are you done?" I asked with a furious heart.
"Cherry," he's now softly utter my name.
I admit that it's nice to hear him call my name like this but I'm not that stupid to be carried away by his soft voice now.
"Excuse me!" I said bravely and bravely bumped his shoulder to get out.
