I TOOK big steps to get out of the Bar to get a taxi on my way home but unfortunately because there was no vehicle passing by. I glance down at my wristwatch only to find out how long I had been wasting my time here. I sighed and looked up at the sky full of regrets.
The sky was tar-black and the clouds are doomily. "No, not now please..." I murmured.
The wind rose and the tinkling sounds came to my ears as the first pearl of the rain dropped onto the floor.
I looked around for shelter. I saw the waiting shed across the street but it was already full of people who wanted to take shelter. The rain is incessant. The wind whips up into a frenzy and it's shrieking hell out of me.
I don't have a choice but to run back to Resto'Bar. Hugging myself I stood on the edge of the establishment and looked up at the sky.
"Miss why didn't you come in first?" The security guard wakes me up.
"Thanks, I'm fine here." I gave him my assuring smile before looking back at the sky.
I even slightly wiped my wet arm because of the splash of water.
A sheet of rain passed over me and the sounds intensified. Suddenly cars bobbing the streets. The sound of the scratching wheel echoed in my head.
I swallowed hard when I notice whose in the car. I bit my lowered lip and tried avoiding him.
He slowly opened the doors for me and lowered his head to catches my attention.
"Cherry!" He called.
"The rain is threatening!" he shouted again but I ignored him and just stared at him blankly. What does he know? I shouted to myself and we hugged. There is no way I will be willing to go with him!
But suddenly we went out of his car. In a split second, he was right in front of me.
I don't want to look up because If I do, I may find myself at the mercy of questioning eyes pleading to know what I was doing.
"Your dress is already wet," he softly said.
I warned myself away from such a beautiful voice. I forced myself to be formal in front of him and turned to look at the Security guard who had our attention.
"Miss, come on, it looks like it's raining even harder, right handsome boy?" he said before smiling at us. I don't know where I could find an answer because of what he said so I frowned.
"Tsk... the kids are today are so fantastic." The security guard shaking his head. He even scratched his nape and sat down in the monoblock chair before facing his logbook.
"Get into my car, now." his voice has authority so I looked up at him.
The water dripping down his face. I gaze so intently at each edge of his lip. Damn, why do I have to notice his damn crooked smile? I bowed again and scolded myself.
"Come on, it's getting colder here." He started to rip out his jacket and without saying a word he put it in my shoulder. He handed my hands and carried me to his car without my approval.
I couldn't do anything because he almost hugged me when we hit the heavy rain. My mouth ached as I just watched him roll down the road as I sat inside.
Until he sat next to me no words were heard from me. I tried to focus my attention on the window. People ran for cover outside while others seemed to be patented in the heavy rain to find shelter.
I noticed that it hadn't started the car yet so I looked at him and I gasped in surprise when I saw him start undressing.
"Oh shit!" I blurted out.
"What?! Have you ever seen a naked man?" He easily gives me an effortless smile.
"Pervert!" I shouted. I avoided looking at his bulk athletic body, but the more I wanted to evade it, the more my eyes stab me to death. I swallow hard while scanning his ropy muscles, and deep cut lines in his stomach. My lips feel slightly chapped but I simply can't give myself a damn so I avoid looking even if I don't want to.
I looked out the window again but there's no way out to break the silence because I heard his deep breath expelling from that goddam lips.
I felt he take something in his backseat and later he revived the engine.
"You can relax now," he suddenly said.
Not because he said I would, instead I took off his jacket and handed it to him.
"Oh, thanks for this," I said softly.
"Just keep it, you'll use that later."
"I'm okay, here." I lowered the jacket next to him.
"Why? Do you want my signature before you use it?" he chuckled sexily.
"No way!" My brows started twitching with anger.
"I'll give it to you if you just say so." Then glance at me.
"What do think about me? Like your diehard fans who just want to commit suicide in front of you just for your signature?!" I stared at him deadly.
And he didn't even say anything instead he keeps on smiling while driving as if I just said nothing.
I looked back out the window again. I can't believe I'm still with the most arrogant man I've ever met in my entire life. Last time I checked I left him at the Resto'Bar because he insulted my body. How could this fortune play in me?
He often cleared his throat before he speak. "I am sorry about what happened at the resto-bar," he started.
I bit my lip and looked away tried to avoid the conversation.
"I didn't mean to offend you."
"You were just describing me!" I couldn’t help but say.
"No, of course not!" he countered back.
"And then what?!" I folded my arms in front of my chest and wait for his explanation.
"I just drunk and tipsy, I don't know," he explained and shrugged his shoulder.
I shuddered at what I heard. What the heck? What he just said? I put my back to the chair and closed my eyes without saying a word. Oh, fucking head, why do I expect him to have a nice explanation of everything? He is too immature for so-called respect.
"I'm finding you... sexy."
I immediately turned my face to him with a frown.
"Yes, do I need to say it again?" Then he grinned.
"So, are you playing a harmless joke this time, huh?" I sarcastically said and gave him a smirk.
At that point he laughed, he could almost fill the noise of the rain with its strength. Oh damn, why is he incredibly sexy in his way?
"You are too tough to deal with, Cherry," he said again shaking his head.
I did not answer because his car have stopped at the side of the road where I still need walk down the alley to enter my house.
"Don't worry I will bring an umbrella next time." Then he smiled at me foolishly.
