"I don't know what I should do or say to you, Alex. All I know is that I can't trust you anymore" She said. I look at her, feeling excruciating.
"Max, Give me the first aid from the first drawer of the cupboard," I said.
"Okay Alpha" He muttered and brought first aid for me. I removed the wet bandage from her foot. Don't know when she was standing and how much blood she had lost.
I carefully did her bandage temporarily till the doctor came. I turned my face towards her. She was staring at me blankly. She took a deep breath and then realised it.
"Can you do me a favour?" She mumbled, wiping her tears.
"Just order my queen," I said looking into her eyes. I wanted to tell her how much she is important to me but now it feels like it does not matter to her. No matter how much I love her, in return, she will only doubt me and my love. she is never going to love me back.
"I want to stay alone for some time" she mumbled and looked at me with pleading eyes. "please"
I nodded with a smile and stood up. My legs stumble but Max was quick to hold me. My head was spinning because of alcohol consumption.
Today I realised why dad forced us to quit alcohol.
"Max"
"Yes Alpha" he understood my signal and helped me to reach another room. He made me sit on the bed and then went outside. I was blank, not knowing how I should react. Should I cry or get furious at my misery? Max came to me with a pair of clothes in his hand.
"Take a bath you will feel better," He said, extending my clothes towards me. I looked at him and then the pair of pajamas and T-Shirt in his hand but didn't take it. He sighed and went to the washroom to keep my clothes there. He came outside and looked at me.
"Now please give yourself some trouble and take a bath" He scoffed.
"Mind link Irene to go to Sana. She is not in her correct mindset. Sana needs someone to console her '' I mumbled.
"Okay" He replied politely. After a few seconds, He looks at me.
"She didn't reply to me. Maybe she is busy with Stefan." He said. I rolled my eyes and stood up from the bed and went inside the washroom.
I opened the tab and stood under the cold shower to get rid of this hangover. I removed my shirt. That's when my eyes went to the mirror and then to the mark given by Maya. A smile appeared on my face remembering that precious moment of my life.
I started remembering every moment I spent with her and then a tear rolled from my eyes, remembering that she didn't come to the Luna ceremony, remembering that she doesn't want me.
My thoughts were revolving around whatever happened between me and Sana and it got stuck on the moment when my hand raised to hit her. I look at my right hand which I raised and then at the mirror and hit the mirror with my right hand which I raised.
pieces of glass had pierced in my hand but the pain of this injury is nothing in front of the pain that I felt seeing her reaction and tears.
"Alex" I heard Max's voice. He came to me and took my hand in his.
"What the fuck you're doing" He screeched and took out his handkerchief to cover my wound but I pulled my hand back.
"I deserve this, Max. I deserve this pain"
"What rubbish?" He growled and closed the tab of the shower.
"I raised my hand on her"
"What?" He yelled and looked at me with devastating eyes. I didn't reply to him and bowed my eyes in embarrassment.
"You what?" he asked again to confirm.
"You were right. I shouldn't have gone to her room in a drunken state. I was not in my sense and I did the most sinful thing"
"you were not in your senses… Okay... so what did you do?" he asked again. I know he was trying to control his anger.
"I--- I raised my hand" I shuttered and the next thing I knew that he smacked my face hard. I smell blood and touch my nose from which blood was coming out. I wiped the blood and looked at myself.
"You know what, my wolf is growling at me for raising my hand on his Alpha but do the fuck with him. You're my best friend before an Alpha" He muttered and clutched his hair in frustration.
"I deserve this" I muttered and made a fist to hurt myself more. This time, I just want to hurt myself more and more.
"This isn't what we learn Alex" He mumbled. I look at him.
"Alpha Aaron, your father never taught us to raise our hand on our women. To heck with our women, we are not even allowed to raise our hand on any women, not even on our enemies if she is a lady" He frowned.
"I know... I know that" I yelled and looked at him helplessly. "But what can I do now when the damage is done? I don't know what to do. how to make it? I'm a hopeless person, a dickhead" I sat on the floor. He looked at me and then sat beside it.
"I won't say whatever you did was ok and forget about it because you're wrong" He mumbled.
"That's why I called you my best friend and you're my beta as you always support me in my good deeds and oppose me when I'm wrong to bring me in the right direction," I said with a genuine smile and thank moon goddess for receiving him as my best friend in this life.
"Shut the fuck up. Your cheesy words won't work on me. Stood up and change" he scoffed and went outside the washroom. I sighed and did what he said.
When I came outside, he was sitting on the bed. I went towards him and sat beside him.
"I don't know how but you have to make it for what you did. you can't just run away from your mistake." He said.
"I know and believe me tomorrow the first thing I will do is to make out with Sana."
"Why tomorrow? Go now and apologise to her"
"I want to repeat the same mistake, Max. I will talk to her only after coming back to my full senses and also she needs time. If we talk at this time then I'm sure we will end up in an argument. We both need some time to understand the situation and each other"
He nodded his head in agreement and then passed me a tablet.
"This?"
"It's a sleeping pill. I know you better than yourself. you will keep thinking about Sana till morning and you need a good sleep as I know you have a terrible headache" He muttered. I nodded and took the pill without saying anything. I lay down on the bed and closed my eyes thinking about my queen and soon darkness consumed me.
