I was shocked after finding Irene marked by Stefan, the person whom she used to hate from the bottom of her heart.
"You're now mated with Stefan," I asked to reconfirm whether I heard right or not.
"You heard right, Saba" She chuckled looking at my reaction.
"Would you stop laughing and tell me how this miracle happened?" I asked impatiently. She chuckled and took my hand in her.
"How is your foot injured?"
"That's not my answer Irene. Did Stefan force you?" I asked what made me fear the most.
"What? No" she laughed. "How could you think that he could force me?" I rolled my eyes.
"Could anyone blame me for my reaction and question... you are the one who used to show that you abhor him and now look at you... You're happily telling me that you both marked each other" I scoffed. She made me sit on the bed and sat beside me.
"No, he didn't force me. It was our mutual decision or say it was my decision to mark each other and he supported me" She replied with a blissful smile and after seeing her smile, I took a relieved breath.
"Thanks to the moon goddess. I got scared thinking that he forced you like Alex force" I clamped up, realising what I'm uttering in front of his sister. She sighed and nodded her head negative.
"You know what, Sana? I saw you in the same place where I used to stand before" she mumbled. I look at her confusingly, not understanding her words.
"I'm used to blaming Stefan for everything, not believing him and always thinking that he was forcing me, he wants to control me but then the truth came in front of me and after trusting him, I realised he always loved me, protected me from every evil eye and most importantly he stood beside me. I will not say he didn't make any mistakes, he did but at last, he is a human, not a machine who will not make any mistakes and whenever he made a mistake and he realised it and made up for it and believe me, I won't forget easily" I chuckled hearing her words.
I'm happy for her but every word works like a splash of water on my face to open my face. Whatever she was saying, I can relate to her, thinking about Alex. Maybe I also didn't trust him and was thinking wrong about him.
"When?" I asked.
"Huh?" She scrunched her eyebrow in confusion just like her brother.
"When did you mark each other?" I asked.
"Yesterday, at luna ceremony"
"What" I almost yelled in shock, not able to believe her words.
"You heard right, Sana. It wasn't planned but when Max told us that you're not coming. Then this is the only idea that came to my mind to save my brother from embarrassment and thankfully Stefan supports me in this idea" she said. My eyes widened hearing her. I recalled yesterday's incident when I saw Alex was holding a girl's hand, that girl is no one but Irene. He held his sister's hand and everyone congratulated her because she is his sister. A tear rolled my eyes as I realised that again I misunderstood him. His words roamed in my mind.

"It shouldn't be my question Sana? Why didn't you come? I know that you were not ready but don't I deserve a chance."
"Yes... You don't deserve a chance" I yelled and stood up from the bed. "A person who can't wait for his wife a little more doesn't deserve a chance. I know that I delayed but that doesn't mean you can do something like this at our luna ceremony"
"I didn't get Sana. what you're saying" He scrunched his eyebrow in confusion. I laughed and rolled my eyes.
"Wow... you have not even realised what you did" I scoffed. He didn't say anything, just staring at the bed sheet seems to be like he was thinking something then he looked at me.
"Now, I understand why you're saying that. I'm so sorry Sana but it decided all of sudden. Irene announced that she will"

"He wanted to say that it was Irene's plan but before he would have completed, Irene knocked on the door and our conversation broke up there. I never gave him a chance to explain himself and kept yelling and interrupting him. I came out of my thoughts when Irene shook me. I look at her abruptly.
"Sana"
"Yeah" I mumbled and wiped my tears.
"Why you're crying"
"I again misunderstood him, Irene... I again blundered and yelled at him without any reason.
"I didn't get, what you're trying to say"
"You both marked each other and I thought" I was not even able to speak those words, which have been bothering me since yesterday. I stood up from the bed to go to Alex but then I stopped remembering the moment when he raised his hand in the air to hit me. I know he was not in his senses but could I forget him that easily and most importantly should I forget him for that? I sat on the bed again.
"What happened?" Irene asked, looking at me.
"I misunderstood him and thought that he cheated on me" I confessed. She was stunned heading toward me.
"You thought my brother cheated you... have you gone crazy, Sana? he loved you more than his life" She grumbled. I flinched and closed my eyes. Tears were continuously flowing down from my eyes. Irene looked at me and sighed. She wiped my tears lovingly and held my hand.
"I can understand you Sana because, at some point in time, I was in your place. I met Stefan at my father's birthday party when he came with his parents and there I felt something for him but I didn't turn 18 that's why I didn't know that he is my mate and also I had a boyfriend. I loved to spend time with Stefan but I kept neglecting my feelings. My life changed when I came to know that Stefan is my mate and I thought of a breakup with my boyfriend, Bolt. He begged me to stay and there I felt bad for him. I was confused between Stefan and Bolt when I got kidnapped by Richard and Stefan rescued me. That period is so painful for me. I used to panic but Stefan handled me and helped me to get out of depression. During that period I started feeling for him but Stefan's wolf is a little dominant and I was stubborn and never listened to anyone. I wanted to meet my brother. It indirectly means to put my life in danger and Stefan tried to stop me but I didn't listen to him and went outside leading to bringing trouble for myself. I got attacked by some wolves from another territory when I accidentally entered their pack and it infuriated both Stefan and his wolf, Sam saved me. They got so furious at me that he locked me in the room for a day and being stubborn and stupid, I thought he misbehave with me and tried to control me but in reality, he was caring for me" Irene replied with a smile.
"Many times I took his care in the wrong way. For instance one day he asked me not to eat junk food but I ended up doing it and later in the evening I was feeling a stomach ache. Thanks to my wolf that it was bearable but this incident made Stefan worried and he started stopping me from eating anything which is not good for my health. I misunderstood him, thinking he is stopping me from leaving my life. He wants to cage me and control my life" Irene mumbled. Her word 'Cage' reminds me of the time when I yelled at Alex and blamed him for caging me.
"Then when did you realise you're misunderstanding him," I asked.
"From the start, I had some feelings for Stefan but I never realised it or said I didn't want to believe that I love him. When Stefan said all this to Alex in a way that Alex would break our marriage on his own and brother hit him, I realised how much he loved me and I fell for him. After seeing him in pain, I realised that I'm madly in love with him" She said with a big smile on her face, and tears of happiness rolled from her eyes.
"I want to confess my love to Stefan but before that, I thought of breaking up with my boyfriend, Bolt, and went to him, and there Bolt misbehaved with me. He was about to hit me but I dodged him and that's when respect for Stefan rose in my eyes. Stefan loved me despite knowing that I'm in a relationship with someone else. He loved me passionately and madly and here I was fooling myself that I was in love with that dickhead, Bolt. I wanted to confess my feelings to Stefan but before this Luna ceremony came and then you know the rest of the story" She said and wiped her tears with a big smile.
"Do you know Sana why I share my story with you?" She asked. I nod my head negatively.
"I shared my story with you so that you won't repeat the same mistake which I did"

Her words made me realise the truth of Alex and my connection or say our bond, showing me the way to go ahead in my life
