I was talking to Stefan when my eyes went to the lady standing behind him. I tightened my fist in anger and went to her furiously ignoring Stefan who was calling me.
I went to that girl and took the gown from her hand, which I selected for Sana to wear at the Luna ceremony. I looked at the gown carefully, there was blood strain on it. I turned my face towards the girl and raised my eyebrow.
"Luna wore this gown for the Luna ceremony," she said.
"But she didn't come to the Luna ceremony" I frowned at the way she is lying to me. My wolf is not with me but that doesn't mean anyone can lie to me. "Why are you lying? did you wear this gown and accidentally spoiled it"
"No Alpha, I'm telling the truth. Luna Sana wore this dress for luna ceremony and this blood strain is because of her foot injury"
"I can smell that she is telling the truth," Stefan said from behind. I widened my eyes and looked at the gown which had a blood strain on the lower side of the gown which is enough for me to know that this girl is not lying.
"Beta Max assigned me to help Luna to get ready but she herself got ready. She wanted to come to the luna ceremony but she accidentally hurt herself in the washroom. When I and Beta Max went to her to ask whether she would attend the Luna ceremony or not, she lied because she was scared that we would harm her" she said and then looked at me.
"Despite being injured, she came to the luna ceremony as she didn't want any stain on your name because of her. She bore all pain and came to you but there she saw you holding another girl's hand and on the basis of that we both concluded that you marked someone else" She said. I was stunned after hearing her. That gown fell from my hand, she immediately picked it up from the ground and after bowing her head in respect, she went to the other side. I got my answer why I was getting continuous feelings that she was not ok.
Now I understand the pain behind her words and her eyes which were saying lots of things to me in the form of tears. Sana's words roamed in my mind.
"You are hurting me again and again. You broke my trust again. You betrayed me again. Again I was coming to you and you back out. again... you're proving my all insecurities and fear to be true. You got angry whenever I compare you with Richard but you're doing the same what he did to me, breaking my trust, coming to our room after getting drunk, and believe me I won't be surprised if you force yourself on me"

She said those words because she thought I cheated on her and I made things worse by entering her room after getting drunk. I made her fears come true. I gave her reasons to think that I'm no different than bastard Richard.
I should have waited for her despite Max's confirmation. I should have listened to my heart.
I clutched my hair in frustration and that's when I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked at my side, Stefan was standing there.
"Are you ok?"
"No... How can I be ok after clearing such a blunder" I growled.
"Then do something to clear this mess," he shrugged. I turned towards him, looking at him confusingly.
"You know that she misunderstood you then go and clear her misunderstanding before it gets too late," He said, making me realise that we were fighting or arguing before I left the room.
"I took so much time, Alex, for clearing the misunderstanding between me and Irene and you know that result. I almost lost her. Please don't repeat the same mistake as nobody is as lucky as I'm. who knows your delay will result in you losing your mate and she will leave you forever"
"no... I will not let that happen." I said and rushed towards our room. I was about to knock on the room when I heard Sana speaking to Irene that she is regretting the fact that she doubted me.
"Since childhood, I have had no one in my life. That's why I don't know how to handle a relationship or to be with someone who loves you, adores you, and cares for you. I did a huge blunder Irene and I always ended up hurting him. I like him but instead of caring or adoring him, he suffers because of me." Sana said to Irene while crying and tears welled up in my eyes feeling her pain and loneliness behind her words and the thing which I noticed was that she has no one to love. My Sana has faced a lot and still, she had tears because of me.
"Sana, calm down.. please don't cry like this" Irene tried to console her but she wasn't calming.
"Sana" I called her with love. She looked at my side with tears in her eyes. We both were staring at each other when Irene came to me and smiled looking at my side. I whispered thank you to her as I know Irene was the one who cleared the misunderstanding between me and Sana and also now I knew that she had a feeling for me. Irene smiled and went outside.
I turned my face towards Sana, she was crying, bowing her eyes down. I locked the door and went to her. I know that she was not in pain only because of our misunderstanding but also because I came to our room after getting drunk and also raised my hand to her. Thanks to the moon goddess, I stopped my hand in mid-air before she got hurt. Otherwise, I won't be able to forgive myself in my whole life and also my late parents would have felt ashamed of me.
I don't know how to apologise to her and how to get her forgiveness.
Somehow I gathered courage and apologised to her, at first she didn't say anything but when I continuously apologised to her, she asked me to promise her that I will never drink and raised my hand on her and if I did then she would leave me. I willingly promised her because if I did something like this then I'm worse than a breast and she deserves a king who treats her like a queen. With promise, I also told her that if I did something like this then she had to kick my ass to teach me a lesson.
She didn't say anything and attached her lips to mine, indicating to me that she forgot me. I smiled and deepened the kiss.

At present
I came out of my memory of flashback and when Sana shook me and called out my name.
"Alex"
"Yeah"
"Where are you lost? you also go and freshen up" She said with a smile. I nodded and stood up then pulled her closer to me holding her hand. She started looking at the floor because of shyness and her blush was enough to bring a bigger smile to my face.
