I went outside in search of her and then I found her sitting on a bench. She was looking at the stars. I took a relief breath after finding her. I went to her to scold her for scaring the hell out of me.
I was about to scold her but then I controlled myself when a tear rolled from her eyes. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even realise my presence.
"Sano" I called her. She quickly wiped her tears when her eyes went on me.
"When did you come?" She asked, showing me her fake smile. I sighed and sat beside her.
"Why Sano? why" She scrunched her eyebrow, looking at me confusingly.
"I always try to keep you happy, to make you forget your pain yet it seems like whatever I'm doing it's not enough. My love is not enough"
"No Alex... why are you saying this?"
"Because I'm failing... I'm failing to keep you happy. At the end there are tears in your eyes" I said lowering my eyes.
"Today is my birthday," She mumbled. I look at her, widening my eyes.
"Your birthday?" I asked again to confirm. She nodded her head then turned her upwards, looking at the star in the sky.
"I'm so sorry Sano... I didn't know it otherwise I would have wished you in the morning itself. I'm extremely sorry. Now I get why you're upset. It's your special day and I"
"My mom died while giving birth to me," She said, interrupting me. I was stunned to hear her. She looked at my side.
"I didn't realise what today's date was. In the evening when I was about to call you, my eyes went to the date on the display picture" she said and tears rolled from her eyes. She turned her face towards me.
"I killed my mom, Alex... I killed her, ``she mumbled. I hold her hand and move closer to her.
"No, Sano... why are you saying this?"
"I killed her... she died after giving birth to me... because of me, she lost her life" She hid her face in her chest and started crying bitterly. I took her in my embrace and let her take out her pain.
After half an hour, she calmed down a little bit. I parted away from her and wiped her tears.
"It's not your fault Sana... It was decided by the moon goddess. Only she decides when a person will be born and die in this world. we have no control over it"
"But" I put my finger on her lips.
"If your mom saw you crying like this and blaming yourself, I'm sure she wouldn't have liked it and the dickhead told you that it's your fault. It is not" I said.
"My father," She mumbled. I look at her confusingly.
" your father?"
"My father used to blame me for his mate or say my mother died. He... he" She sobbed. I move my hand on her back to calm her. "He used to hate me." I heard the voice of something breaking from behind. I turned and my eyes went to Max who was looking at Sana and there was a broken flower pot on the ground near him. Don't know why I felt like he was furious at something. Maybe he listened to our conversation and was furious after listening to Sana about her father.
"Alex" I turned my head and looked at Sana who was still looking at the stars.
"why? Why did he do this to me? you're saying I'm not at fault then why my father always hates me." She wailed and then turned her head towards me.
"He never loved me. I always used to crave his love but the way he looks at me is enough for me to know how much he hates me. He doesn't even like to see my face because I resemble my mom. You only tell me Alex what was my fault? Why does he hate me? Why?" She yelled. I hold her hand tightly to let her know that now she is not alone. I'm there for her.
A tear rolled from my eyes seeing her like this, broken and alone. Don't know how many years of pain she was letting out now.
"I have a brother also for namesake. He is not like you... Not even one percent. He always ignores me like I don't even exist for him." she laughed.
"I used to feel jealous when I saw you and Irene... Your brother and sister bond. She is your life. You love her so much that you almost killed Stefan. After her departure, you called her every odd day to know how she is and to look at her and see my relationship with my brother. I don't think so even if he remembers what I look like" She laughed with tears in her eyes.
"I had a big house and in that big house I always felt alone and empty... loneliness used to kill me from inside but with time I used to get used to it."
She stopped speaking and wiped her tears. I looked behind where she was looking. Max was still standing there. He also had tears in her eyes but he didn't say anything and went inside the villa. I turned my head towards her.
"Sano"
"You just came from the office and I am busy with nonsense, Blubbering and boring you. Let's go inside, you must be starving" She said and stood up to go inside. I hold her wrist. She turned and looked at my side with her tear-filled eyes.
"Sit here," I said, tapping on the table by my side with my other hand.
"Alex"
"Sana" I called with her name which was enough for her to know I'm serious about it. Instead of sitting at the side, she sat on my lap and rested her head on my chest.
"You know my mom also hid her past with Dad, resulting in their separation," I said. She gasped and looked at me.
"Then... Then how did they meet again?" She asked curiously.
"They met again when my mom was pregnant with me," I said with a smile remembering the story, mom and dad shared with us.
"Ohh" She nodded her head.
"But how did they separate and what was her past?" She asked another question. I rolled my eyes at the way she was trying to distract me or say distracting herself from the pain and trauma she is suffering from inside.
"Let's Author tell that story in another book. Right now, let's talk about us, Sano '' I said. she gulped hearing my words and bowed her eyes. "You know why mom and dad share their story with us. so that I and Irene learn from them. They always used to say one thing, there is no place for doubts, lies, and hiding truth in a relationship. It always destroys everything, no matter how strong your relationship is."
"Alex" She mumbled and a tear rolled from her eyes. I know she is battling inside whether to tell me the truth or not. She could share her pain with me or not?
"In this past week, you and I have spent precious moments with each other. Your smiling face always made me smile but you don't know Sana, I can see and feel the pain behind that smile. I can see those tears which you always feared that accidentally will fall from your eyes." I said. she nibbled her lips, trying not to cry.
"We can't run away from our pain, Sano. We have to stop and bear that pain and face our painful past. we have to cry and scream to let out our pain. We have to Sano... we have to let ourselves go with a glow as we can't control everything. Let it be our baby, what was inside you… Let it out" I said. a tear rolled from her eyes and she started sobbing.
