"Now why did you both fight again?" Irene asked, noticing Alex ignoring me. I hold Irene's hand.
"Thank you Irene for always becoming Angel between us," I said. she looked at me confusingly and then Alex who was looking at me. I turn my face towards him. "You can't always be there, Irene, to solve our problem. I and Alex have to start solving our issues. In this way, we will understand each other and also come closer." I mumbled. He turned his face towards Stefan.
"Take care of my sister and remember if I found that you mistreat her then I will not think twice before cutting your ball" Alex warned Stefan. we all three look at him dumb headed not understanding how to react.
"Understand?" Alex raised his eyebrow.
"Brother" Irene called him. He shrugged his shoulders and looked at Stefan.
"I'm serious about my word, Stefan"
"Don't worry… I will take care of her more than my life" Stefan assured him. Alex smiled and nodded his head.
"So when you two are leaving," he asked and I can feel his voice numb like he is trying his best to control his emotions. Tears welled up in my eyes remembering the day of my wedding. when I was begging in front of my father to hug me and he didn't…

"Brother" I came out of my thoughts when I heard Irene's voice. She hugged him and started crying. He didn't hug her back and quickly wiped tears from the corner of his eyes. I held his hand and made him hug her back. He looked at me abruptly. I smiled and blinked my eyes. He moved his hand down. I looked at him confusingly but didn't say anything.
"Take care of yourself... ok?" he asked.
"I don't want to leave you," Irene cried.
"you're not leaving me. You're just going to live your life with your mate whom you love," he said. Irene broke the hug and look at him
"I love you more than him," She said cutely, bringing a smile to our faces. He pinched her nose.
"Arghh" She hit him on his shoulder.
"I can't bear a crying baby like you anymore so please go," He said. I look at him widening my eyes and was about to scold him but before that Irene started beating him
"You... you never leave a chance to irritate me," She said. They both started running into the whole room where I and Stefan were laughing and looking at him. Irene stopped and started crying. Alex went to him and wiped her tears lovingly.
"You can call me anytime and also come here whenever you want." He said and kissed her forehead like a big brother.
"Brother, I don't know how to express my emotions in words. Dad always told us that one day I have to leave but I never thought this day would come so soon and it would be so painful," she said while sobbing.
"Irene" I called her and went towards her.
"I can understand your feelings. It's very difficult to leave your family and start a new life with a different person but this new life becomes so special if your life partner is like your brother" I said looking towards Alex. he looked at my side abruptly. "If your life partner loves you, cares for you, and respects you then this new journey becomes beautiful. Indeed, your life partner can't replace your family but your partner and his family become your own. In this way, you got the love of two families" She smiled and nodded his head.
"Stefan's parents were waiting for us. we should leave" Irene said, wiping her tears. I looked towards Alex who was looking at Irene with love. I know he is just controlling his tears in front of Irene so that she doesn't start crying again.
"I have to make a call," He said and left the room.
"Wait for us... we will be back in 15 minutes" I said and went behind Alex. He went to our room and sat on the bed. He clutched the bed sheet tightly in his hand. I went towards him and sat beside him.
"Why did she grow up so early... I don't want her to go '' He mumbled. I held his hand with one hand and moved my other hand to his chest to calm him.
"she used to play with me and suddenly she has grown so big that now she is going to start her new life as a woman," He said and a tear rolled from his eyes.
"I always cherished her like my baby girl but after our parent's death, everything changed between us. We rarely talk about anything and that hurts me the most. I wish, I wouldn't have distanced myself from her." he let out what was going in her mind
"It's not too late, Alex," I said. He looked at me abruptly. "You still can talk to her... You can say to her how much she meant to you and how much you love her. She is here only"
"But" I put my finger on his lips.
"No... Go and talk to your sister... your baby girl before she leaves. Give her a tight hug before it's late" he removed my finger and nodded his head negatively.
"I can't"
"Why?"
"You won't understand, Sano... there is an awkwardness came between her and me"

"no.. one year ago, we both didn't think before saying anything to each other," He said.
"Then what changed now Alex, You still can say anything to her. She is your sister. Yes, It's true with time bonds change but in this, time is not at fault. It is we who choose to be ok with everything. If you can hold your partner's hands forever then you can hold any person's hands forever if the love is from both sides. Sometimes we got a little far with our loved ones and hesitation came, however, it doesn't mean both people are not close. All we need is a conversation and to make a move then believe me everything will be ok and again you will find your closest one near you" I muttered.
He smiled and locked the strand of hair coming on my face behind my ear and kissed my nose.
"you're amazing!" He chuckled. "I should meet Irene before she goes," He said standing up from bed. I nodded and he went outside. I smiled and looked at the picture of Alex's parents' smiling faces and then went outside the room to get the biggest shock.
Irene was running behind Alex in the corridor. They both were looking like Tom and Jerry where I know Jerry is Alex who must have done something to tease Irene, Tom... Every maid and worker came out and started laughing looking at them.
My eyes moistened remembering my brother who never cared about me. I wiped the tears from the corner of my eyes. That's when my eyes went to Max who was looking at me and I don't know why for the first time, I felt a little awkward at the way he was staring at me. No, I didn't mean he was staring at me the wrong way. It just felt a little different.
I came out of my thoughts when Alex came behind me to hide from Irene.
"Please save me," He said.
"Sana, get out of the middle.. today I will not leave him. How dare he call me fatty. He knew very well I hate it when someone calls me fat" She frowned.
"Whether you hate it or not, it doesn't change the truth," Alex teased her.
"Alex" I glared at him. He rolled his eyes and came in front of me. He pulled Irene's cheeks.
"You're my sister.. my baby girl and I love you the most despite you're fat" He again teased her.
"Sana" Irene wobbled like a child.
"Now enough Alex, don't tease our sister anymore," Max said, coming towards Irene and keeping his hand like a big brother. I looked towards him and that's when I heard a growl from his mate.
I turned to my side and found Emily standing there glaring at me. Maybe she got me wrong that I'm staring at his mate.
"My best brother Max," Irene said and hugged him. I turn my face towards them ignoring Emily. Don't know what connection I felt with Max but that doesn't mean I look at him in that way.
"Well, Alex is right Irene you become fat" Max also started teasing her.
"You both"

They again started running like tom and jerry and this time Max also joined them. The whole mansion is filled with laughter looking at them. My eyes again went to Emily who was glaring at me. she didn't say anything and went to Max, standing beside him.
I shrugged my shoulders not caring about her reaction much as I'm right.
"Sana" Alex called me to come near them. I too joined them and next, we all were seated in the hall talking and sharing a family moment.
