Eric's POV
"Angela…" As soon as I saw her, I felt too relaxed in my heart.
She was standing in front of me, I still couldn't believe my eyes.
"Thank you for finally giving me a chance to talk…" I was rejoiced by looking at her. At least she's giving me a chance to explain.
Now I hope there is a chance for us and our relationship.
I hope I can explain everything to her and apologize.
However, Angela's eyes looked at me with cold as she maintained a proper distance from me.
I felt my heartache to see her gaze of hatred. But this is what I deserved. I knew it very well. I hurt her, and she got a right to hate me, ignore me, and not talk to me. But what can I do…
I love her so much that even her simple rejection hurts me so much and rips my heart.
But I hope, after today's conversation, everything is going to short out…
When I was in my mid thoughts. Angela's cold voice made me come back to reality and listen to her.
"Don't think too much Eric…"
"I didn't come here to listen to your explanation. I just want to talk about another thing…" Her eyes looked at me with a serious gaze but as soon as the last sentence she said, I saw something flash inside her stare. It's like sorrow. But it's just a flinch for a second before she again maintains the cold temperament.
"What do you want to talk about? I asked in a gentle tone.
Angela's eyes looked at me with dullness and immediately turned to look at her mid-size bag which was in her right hand. She used her hand to open the bag's zip and pulled a long file.
My brows arched as I don't know why I suddenly felt a little panic to watch the file.
She looked at me with a straight face and forwarded her hand with the same file towards me.
"I want to send you this! This is what I want to talk about…"
Her words made my eyelashes flicker with nervousness as my forehead creased deeply.
"What is this file?" I asked with a heavy tone.
"You will know. Just flip the page…" She avoided my gaze.
I forwarded my hand to take the file from her hand and opened it immediately, just to read the big title written on it.
"DIVORCE"
My body felt numb. All hopes shattered to read out what she wanted to talk about.
"Divorce Paper…" My voice halted. While my hands tremble.
I couldn't help but feel too weak. My eyes turned reddish as I couldn't believe that there was no chance for us. I didn't even get a chance to explain it to her… my heart tightened as I felt my heart almost stop beating.
Angela silently stood in front of me. I can't see any sorrow on her face which made me more hurt and feel more ache around my chest.
Did I disappoint her so much that she doesn't even want to give me a chance to say something? Or she never feels anything for me in our marriage...
I was badly hurt at this moment. This paper is just like a knife for me that was digging into my heart mercilessly and all I can do is bleed with pain.
I never thought we both came to this point where there is no turning point for us...
"Angela...Do you…"
"Do you truly want to…"
"Yes!"
"I want a divorce!" She cut my words and responded to me in a cold voice.
I looked at her with hurting eyes while she continued ignoring me, "Just sign the paper and send me back, after these formalities, we will not go to see each other again in this life..."
My chest aches to hear her last word. My eyelashes watered with tears.
Angela didn't wait to hear my response and just turned to go back to her house, without looking at me even once.
Without hearing me and my words.
I saw her cold back which was facing me and going far from my reach.
She shut the door, as soon as her feet went inside there.
I fell to my knees feeling too weak. As Divorce paper is still in my hands.

Author's POV
As soon as she came back home, her legs turned into jelly as she just sat there on her knees while tears started coming out of her eyes non-stop.
She suddenly felt discomfort in her heart.
As she doesn't understand why his hurting eyes made her weak.
As soon as she saw him today, she could see how happy he was just to watch her.
She can't deny that she could feel his love for her. However, it's all one-sided, she thought like this after knowing the truth.
But now, why?
When he looked at her with a hurtful gaze, seeing divorce papers made her feel hurt as well, and when he asked her if she truly wanted this. She felt discomfort inside her, and felt not happy with her decision. Is this because she still thinks of him as her family, her childhood friend, or is there something more within her heart that she can't see right now at this moment?
When she was sitting on the floor in chaos, her mother's voice came from her front.
"Angela…" Mrs.Brown walked towards her and sat beside her with worried eyes as she touched her shoulder with concern.
"Mom…" Angela looked at her mother with a broken gaze as her voice turned shattered.
"What happened, dear?" Mrs.Brown asked with a concerned tone.
"Mom, did I make the right choice?"
Mrs. Brown's lips were tightened for a moment before she finally responded while holding her hand.
"You did the right sweetheart! Because this is your choice...do you get it!" Mrs.Brown feels too bad to see her daughter suffering like this.
Angela finally held her tears and hugged her mom as she whispered," This is all I want to hear mom! This is all I want to hear!"
Mrs.Brown patted her back and felt upset. While Angela made up her mind to ignore her guilty thoughts.
