Author's POV
"Did you meet Ayesha?" Eric questioned while his heart clenched painfully as if someone had just dug his heart out from his chest.
His whole body shivered with fear. Fear of losing her!
On the other side, Angela felt like laughing at herself to believe that there is still a one percent chance that Ayesha is wrong. But hearing his words. She knew Ayesha was telling the truth from the start while Eric was the one who lied about his identity.
"So, Ayesha's words were true!" She smiled bitterly while there was so much pain hidden at the same time.
"You are Eric!" She whispered between her massive breaths. While her eyes darted at him with disgusted gazes.
Eric's eyes were rimmed with red. He never wanted to see hate in her eyes for him.
But now seeing her eyes are cold and it's for him. He felt his heart bleed. He couldn't move but stood rooted to the same spot. Like he was stuck by his own soul.
He can feel her anger, her frustration, and her hatred towards him at this moment which made him sense like he was sinking into an abyss of flame with his heart right there in her hands, smoldering.
He doesn't want to see that. He gritted his teeth with frustration and sounded out loud.
"Angela, I can explain to you everything! Please give me the chance!" He forwarded his hand, trying to touch her arms but she immediately retreated to not be touched by him and raised her hand to slap his cheek hardly.
Eric's cheeks burnt with redness while bent in one direction.
Eric felt too guilty inside his heart. If he had the courage, to tell the truth at the right moment. This is not happening right now.
"Don't dare to get close to me Eric! You are a fraud! Your family is a fraud!" She yelled angrily with her whole might.
She doesn't want to hear him. She doesn't want to hear his so-called apologize.
His hands clenched to hear that. It turned out to be too painful for him.
But he still silently hears her harsh words.
"How could you?"
"How could you do this to me?" She runs her hands on her hair while her whole body feels undeniable pain right now.
Eric's tears ran down his cheeks while he felt sinful at this moment. The one with whom he wanted to share the love. On the reverse, he shared betrayal. He gave her unimaginable pain and suffering.
"Tell me! Eric!!" She grabbed his collar and angrily shouted while stopping tears once again started flowing on her cheeks. She's looking completely without sense as her anger captured her soul at this moment.
"Angela…" He looked at her with red-rimmed eyes while he murmured her name with so much sorrow.
"Don't call my name!"
"You don't deserve it!" She shouted.
"You and your family betrayed me! You all are just liars!" She pushed him with full force while he looked at her with an apologetic look all the time. This angered her more and she added," Don't show your evil tears! It's not going to work on me!"
The pain ripped through his chest to hear her while he suddenly found it hard to breathe.
"You all break my trust! You all betrayed me!" Her eyes filled with the pain while each word stabbed him deeply to the core. Angela's voice also shattered with every single word.
"Angela… I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you!" He suddenly fell to his knees and knelt in front of her while tears came out of his eyes.
"Please listen to me!" He tried to beg her.
Angela looked at him with a straight and sharp gaze while she declared in anger, "No, you are late! I'm not going to listen to your words anymore Eric Brooks!"
"You are not worthy!" She wiped her last tears and turned to leave him.
"Angela…" He whispered in a weak tone. As he looked at her cold back with paining
gaze.
He wanted to stop her but he didn't have the guts. His heart ached badly to see her leave like this. Like his soul started to leave him.
He knew everything was his fault. But still, he can't let her go like this. Will he not get one last chance to explain his side? Will his love die like this?
He felt so weak at this moment that he looked like a devastated person when he called out her name, "Angela!"
Everything shattered in front of his eyes.
His voice covered between his sobs.
However, Angela didn't stop to hear his voice.
She left without slowing down and without even bothering to glance at him.
Seeing her cold manner for him. He felt that a piece of his soul separated from his body, disturbing the pace of his heart. While he fears he will never get that part of him back and make him whole once again.
He could only see her go from his world and he would only disappear without any mercy.
As she started going far with every second.
He felt he lost everything. There is nothing left for him. His heart quivered uncontrollably.
He felt a thousand pieces of broken glass stab his chest as he watched her walk away.
He was left alone there while Angela got into her car and started crying again. Her sobbing turned out loud and loud with each passing time.
She was completely broken. She stayed there for a long time and finally reached the drive to meet Erish's parents at home. She wants an answer from them also!
On the other side, Eric looked at the same path lostly from where Angela just walked away. He was still on his knees looking devastating. The empty silence always surrounded him.
His mind plays, again and again, his happy movements with Angela. Where they both were happy without any worries.
"I need to explain to her! I can't let her go from my life like this!" He suddenly blurted out in pain between his mid thoughts.
And the next moment, he stood up on his feet and walked towards his car.
