Author's POV
"Mrs.Brooks! Are you sure you wanted to meet Miss Ayesha?" The officer asked.
"Yes! And let it be a secret between us! I don't want Erish to be stressed out for a small matter!" She looked at him with serious eyes.
"Alright then, you can meet her but make sure it doesn't take a long time as there are some rules we need to follow!" The officer informed her before making their way to prison.
Angela nodded and started to follow him.
"You wait here! She will be sent by our cops" The officer said after sending her to an empty room which is divided into two parts with glass while two chairs represent both sides.
Angela silently waited for her arrival while her heart was in so much confusion.
What are you doing Angela? Is it right to come here without informing Erish?
There is still time you can leave if you want? Her other half said to her.
She bit her lower lips and stood up from her chair to rush towards the door.
She can't do that! She thought and shook her head.
She needs to only talk to Erish and everything would be solved.
As he explained everything to her. She will believe him. Yes, that is right. She thought as her hand was already on the doorknob to unlock and leave.
But as she pushed down the doorknob, she heard the door opening sound from another side.
She felt her feet glued for a moment before turning to see Ayesha with two cops.
"Hello, Angela!"
"Are you leaving already?" Ayesha said while showing an evil smirk.
Angela noticed her appearance which is no longer like a rich young beautiful lady. The face complexion turned dull, her hair misbehaved, the prisoner clothes made her look like a criminal, and her sweet smile now turned nasty-creepy. While her hand's handcuffs.
Angela deeply inhaled before taking steps back to her while two cops left them for a talk locking the door behind them.
They both sat on the chair while glass is just the thing that made them apart.
Angela's eyes looked at her with dull and despised stares while Ayesha felt satisfied to see her here. Her plan worked.
"My guess is right! You finally thought of meeting me!"
Ayesha's words turned mocking. Because she thought it would take more time to make Angela come to prison. But she moved fast from her plan.
"Shut up Ayesha! I'm not coming here to listen to your silly words. Now tell me what is this?" Angela showed Erish's photos as she pulled them out from her purse. She's not going to listen to her long.
Ayesha laughed out creeping.
"Will you believe me? If I said the real truth to you?" Her corner lips raised.
"It all depends on your words!" Angela's eyes met hers while she continued.
"And don't think that you won because I came here to meet you! You are just like poisonous women and I can't let you make more evil plans behind my back!" Angela's eyes darkened.
Ayesha smirked, feeling nothing in her words.
"If that is so? Then why did you come in the first place here?
Don't you also feel that your husband is hiding something from you? That's why you are sitting here?"
Angela looked at her with a straight face like her words are just void.
"He is not hiding something! I just don't understand why you don't stop behaving like a madwoman!"
"Angela, don't be so blind in love!"
"If he truly doesn't hide anything. Then why did he lie to you about the accident when you asked yesterday during a dinner date?"
Angela's eyes flickered to hear her.
"Did you make your people follow us?"
"Yes…"
"I still have some cards in my pocket!" She declared.
Angela gritted her teeth.
"If you just want to meet me telling me this thing then I don't want to listen to you anymore!"
"You can spend your life in hell!" Angela stood up from her chair.
As she turned to move, Ayesha looked at her back with annoyance while anger started to burst on her face.
"Angela, What if I say your husband is not the one you fall in love with!!"
Her words made Angela's leg stop midway. Her heart thumps while her body shudders to hear her words. Her eyes enlarged with dread.
She felt like someone put a sharp knife in her heart.
She turned the next moment with heavy breaths while her eyelashes flickered.
"What do you mean by that?" Her lips were shaking. As she can't talk normally anymore.
"What if I say the one you married is not Erish!"
Her next words made her body turn completely in chaos, while her face was in complete shock.
Her legs trip for a moment but she held the chair for support. She felt her full energy suddenly sucked by her words.
"Wh...What are you saying?" She felt her breath suddenly stop to hear her. Everything suddenly changed. She doesn't know how to react. But pain already started to rush into her heart.
"Angela, the one is with you as your husband is not Erish but his twin brother and my ex-boyfriend Eric!" As Ayesha announced.
Angela's legs suddenly walked backward while she didn't know how to feel at this moment. Her eyes turned bloodshot while she started to feel suffocating in the room. She felt her soul crying while Like a shattered mirror her heart exploded into fragments.
"I...I don't believe you!" Her voice filled with pain. She wanted to deny her facts.
Ayesha crossed her arms and chuckled harder.
"But that is true! Just looked at the photos!" She smiled evilly.
Angela's eyes followed on the photos which are still in her hand.
"Didn't you see the date of the photos?" Ayesha asked while her brows raised.
Angela's eyes saw the date and turned to meet Ayesha's eyes with anger.
"But how does it matter?" She suddenly yelled.
She doesn't want to believe in her silly story.
"Are you sure? It does not matter!" Ayesha's voice turned serious.
"Just looked at the date. The date is just one night before your wedding and that is the day Eric comes back from abroad and that is the same day when Erish got in the accident!"
Angela felt numb to the core.
At this moment, she felt her whole body was being poked with thousands of needles. But she can't shout.
"Eric...Eric is in the city!"
"Yes! He just came back before the wedding night! Because he needs to marry you in his brother's place!"
Angela's eyelashes flickered while tears blurred her vision.
"Erish got in an accident so he can't attend the marriage ceremony and that's why Eric came in his place and married you!"
Angela suddenly lost her balance and fell to her knees while both hands supported her weight and made her sit on her knees. She doesn't believe what she just heard. How could he? She whispered.
Ayesha felt too happy to see her broken down in front of her eyes. This is what she wants. This is her plan to make them feel pain.
"And guess what? his parents are the ones who make this plan and marry you with him without your consent!" Angela looked at her with bloodshot red eyes.
Angela never thought the one whom she treated as her own family would betray her. Like this.
How they turned too cruel to do something like this to her.
And Eric? How could he do that to her? How could he?
Her hands clenched with anger, frustration, pain, agony. She felt everything at this moment.
"The man she's living with is just a substitute for her husband!!"
This thought made her pain unbearable.
The pain ripped through her chest and she found it hard to breathe.
She felt like she was sinking into an abyss of flame with her heart right there in her hands, smoldering.
