Eric's POV
"You rest here, I tell mom, make something light for you to eat," I said, laying her on the bed.
"But Mom and Dad are not in the home." She said, stopping me from leaving and I turned my face to her, looking at her seriously.
"If both of them are not in the house then where have they gone?" My coolness took off hearing this news.
"They have shifted to the old mansion." She answered and my anger burst.
"What?? They left this house and went to live in another house. That too without telling me??? " I just blurted out with rage.
"Erish! Don't be angry!" She tried to convince me but I was really upset with my parents.
"When did they leave?"
"Today, afternoon" she replied.
I smirked foolishly.
"Okay, I understand! You just rest." I started leaving the room but then she held my hand and said stop me.
"Trust me Erish! I tried to convince them but they didn't change their decision" she explained to me and I sighed in my heart.
"Erish, Are you angry with me?" She asked worriedly but I touched her head and shook my head no.
"I know you must have tried your best!"
She smiled at me gently and I left the room.
"Hello, Mom!" I just called them after leaving the room.
"Son, How was your journey?" She asked me but I didn't reply to her.
"Why did you both leave the house suddenly like this even though you didn't tell me about this?" I just furiously asked her.
"Son, your brother's medical condition is now better than before. The doctor has said that we can shift your brother home. Now he can be treated not only in the hospital but also at home. " Hearing my mother's words brought a smile to my face.
"Is it true mom?" I want to hear that again.
"Yes, that's true! That's why we decided to stay in the old house only so that we can take good care of him. And if we had lived in the same house, we might not have been able to hide this from Angela for a long time." She said in an upsetting and worried tone.
And my smile also sinks.
"Mom, when are you going to tell her about my identity?" I don't know why but now it's getting harder for me.
"I know what you are worried about but trust me when your brother's health is well, we will tell her everything and also be ready for punishment." She explained to me and I sighed in my heart helplessly.
"And please, try to show your love to her. Don't hide it anymore." She explained to me.
And I just became silent and avoided her words.
"Okay, mom! Good night! It's too late now" I just finished the topic and she understands that I don't want to talk anymore about Angela and me.
"Okay, Good night son! " She answered back.
After disconnecting the phone, I came back to the room. But not seeing Angela there, I went out of panic and started calling her name.
"Angela!!!"
"Angela!!"
"An.."
"What happened? Erish?" She came out of the kitchen terrified, holding the dish plates in both arms.
Seeing her coming out of the kitchen, I went to her in a rage.
"Angela!!! Are you out of your mind??? Just a while back I yelled at you so much. Despite that, you went to the kitchen again!!" I got angry seeing her doing the same thing despite my refusal. I can't see her hurt again.
"Erish, I just went to the kitchen to get food," she said in an upsetting tone. Her eyelashes trembled.
"If you had to eat something, you would have told me. I would bring you to your room. What did you need to come down to?" I just blurt angrily.
"I went to the kitchen to get food for you. I thought you must have been hungry after traveling so far." She looked at the plates sadly and then looked at me.
I don't want to see her upset, so I just took the plates from her hands and told
"Let's eat!! " I went to the dining table and just sat in a my chair.
Hearing me, she smiled happily and went to the dining table.
We both started eating.
I must have taken only a few bites in my mouth that only then my eyes went on her. She is struggling to eat with her right hand due to injury.
And seeing this, I started cursing myself that how can I eat like this without realizing her struggling. And the very next moment I put my spoon down and took her plate in my hand and extended my hand towards her to feed her with the spoon.
"Erish!" She shyly said my name and I also blushed to see her looking at me like this.
"What? Are you not hungry? Then just eat? " I said, putting the spoon in her mouth.
We finished the whole dinner like this.
"What are you doing?" When I saw her taking the plate again towards the kitchen, I questioned her.
"To wash the dishes." She smiled but I snatched the plates from her hands.
"No! I'll wash it!! You go and take a rest!" Hearing my strict voice she didn't argue with me and just went to the master bedroom.
I went to the kitchen and washed all the utensils.
While living abroad, I had learned to do all my work. I used to do all the household chores there and also cooking. I don't like strangers to touch my things there. That's why I started to do myself.
It did not take me long to complete this task.
When I came back to the room I saw that she was already asleep. I can hear her slow breathing.
Seeing her sleeping, I took a sigh of relief that I would not have to think of any excuse tonight. I can go and sleep in my room.
