Angela's POV
It's already dinner time. Mom and dad told me to eat with them because Erish can be late but I told them that I will wait for him and they nodded with smiles. After finishing their dinner they went to their room.
I just sat at the dinner table and started scrolling through the mobile.
Suddenly my phone vibrated and Erish name pops up on the screen. I opened the message excitedly and read his text where he told me that he will be busy with work and not be able to come home tonight.
After reading that, all my enthusiasm disappeared. But I did not want to bother or disappoint him. So, I just text him back cheerfully and write to him that I can understand his work is important and that he can continue his work after eating his food on time.
I thought he would reply to me again but there was no reply after that. I sighed helplessly in my heart and crushed him angrily in my mind " Duffer! "
This time my phone rings, I thought he was calling. So, my face lit up again and I smiled like a teenage girl who was waiting for her crush's phone.
I immediately checked the screen where not Erish but my best friend Ella's name was shown. I became annoyed because of disappointment.
My phone was still ringing in my hand, so I just held a long breath and pressed the answer button.
"Hello, Ella! " I spout in a low voice.
"Ohh my! What happened to your voice? Why are you sounding so low? " she asked.
"Nothing Happened!" I said in a flat voice.
" What do you mean nothing happened? I know, why are you sounding so low!!! " she said teasingly.
"What do you mean Ella? " I asked, lifting my eyebrows.
"Surely because of shouting all night yesterday, your throat has sat down" she answered devilishly.
Hearing her words, my face turns red with embarrassment.
"Ella!!! " I yelled at her.
She loves to make jokes and she's really good at it.
" Why are you shouting at me? Did I say anything wrong? Don't tell me! Did I disturb you and Erish at the main task? I know! It's already night and you both have more important tasks to do! " She said in a childish tone. I can hear her laugh.
Hearing her words, I was lost in words.
" Ella Willson! Don't forget that I'm the only one who can help you with your studies! " This time I threatened her and it worked like always.
"Okay! Okay! You win! Don't be angry! I'm just teasing you. " she said in a pitiful voice.
I sighed and asked " So, tell me, What happened? "
" Angela, why do you always think that when something happens to me then I always call you? " she asked me.
And I already know how she was making a pouting face on another side phone.
"Ella! Don't talk rubbish! Just tell me the real reason! " I said in a calm tone.
"That's why I love you! My bestie! But I swear! I didn't call you for my problem today! " she said in a serious tone.
"Then? " I confusedly asked.
"How was your first night? " she asked brutality.
" Ella! You really don't have work! " I sneered at her.
" Angela! Don't be like this! We promised each other that we will share our first night story! " she mumbled.
"Ella, we both were children and we don't know about it " I sighed, touching my forehead.
" Angela!! How can you break your promise! If I were in your place I would tell you everything. " she said disappointed.
"Ella! What if I say there is no story! " my face becomes upset when I say those words.
" Ha!Ha! Ha! Don't make me fool! How can it be possible that there is no story? Just tell me you are shy and don't want to tell me! " she giggles.
"But, It's true! There is no story because yesterday nothing happened between us! " I sadly confessed. There is nothing exciting to tell her.
" Angela! Are you okay? " she asked me worriedly.
"Yeah, I'm okay. " I bitterly smiled. Because this is the real truth.
"Can you explain to me? What happened?" She asked me in a serious tone and I illustrated everything to her that happened between me and Erish!
" Angela! Don't be upset! I think he was just tired yesterday because of the wedding ceremony and office work. That's why it happened. And I think you both need some alone space so you can spend more quality time together" she explained and again continued.
"You both dated each other for 3 years but you rarely spend any time with each other or you can say after proposing to you, he is just busy with his work. That time I thought you would break up with him but you just made yourself sad and never left his side. And when you tell me that you both are marrying. I thought everything was solved between you and I was so happy for both of you that you are finally married. But after knowing this. I just can suggest you please show your true feelings to each other and I know he loves you so much. You both will be happy. You both just need to be open with yourself that's it" she said with concern.
Her words were true so I was convinced with her words. I and Erish have whole life now together.
"Thank you, Ella!" I smiled and said.
"Now, go and sleep! Don't tell me! you want to show your dark circle's eyes and tired face to your husband when he comes back home . " she chuckled.
And I laughed.
I went to the room and lay on the bed. My mind started to think about our past and each time which we both spent together. How he was so gentle towards me! How he always smiles brightly whenever he sees me. His bright eyes always make me feel safe.
