Angela's POV
"Mom! Dad! Do you both really need to shift from home?' I was a little bit sad when they told me that they were leaving this house and going back to their old mansion.
" Silly Girl!" She raises her eyebrows and looked at me with a light smile.
"We were both supposed to shift from here the next morning of your wedding, but Erish went abroad the same morning and we both did not want to leave you alone in this big house. That's why we stayed for so many days otherwise we would have left from here! " Mother tried to explain to me.
"Your mom is right! So, don't be upset at all! " The father also agreed to the words of the mother and said.
"And anyway Erish is coming back today so there's no need for both of us to be here. That's why our decision to shift is right and both of you are newly married. Both of you should also get a chance to spend time alone where both of us old people have no work. We don't want to disturb your marriage life" she said with a warm smile, holding my one hand between her hands.
"Mom! but I was happy to have both of you. You are not disturbing anything! Don't say that! We have no problem with you being here." I tried to convince them.
"But we have a problem! We know how much our son and daughter-in-law love us, but still, it is our responsibility that both of us give you and Erish some personal space and time." She explained to me.
"But mom!"
"I..I.."
I don't know why I could not convince myself of this. But I could finish my sentence. Before that she said, stopping me in the middle.
"Angela..!!! No more arguments!!! And don't be sad at all, we will always come to meet you and Erish! And whenever you miss us, you come to visit us. Understood!"
"Now smile!" She looked at me with a warm smile.
And finally, I decided to send them off with a smile.
"That's a good girl!" She laughed and then we all laughed together.
"Erish is going to come back today, so you must have made some special plan for him? Am I correct?" She teasingly asked me.
And I blushed deeply hearing my mother-in-law's words.
"Look at you! How red is your face!" she chuckled lightly.
"Mom!" I shyly tried to stop her.
"Darling, don't embarrass her!" Father also smiled lightly.
"Okay, No more words! I hope you both enjoy your special day. " she gently said.
I nodded lightly.
"Sir, everything is packed!" The driver informed us.
"Okay, you wait in the car," Father responded to him and he left.
"Angela, we are going now. You take care" Mom said gently, hugging me.
I also hugged her back and bid goodbye.
A few minutes later, I'm the only one who stands alone and I already started to miss them. But I immediately cheered myself because today I planned something special for Erish. So, I need to do some work on it.
I went straight to the kitchen, where some chefs were already working. I discharged them all and told them to go home.
After all of them left, I started preparing to cook dinner by myself because I have planned a candlelight dinner for Erish tonight as a gift.
And the most important thing in a candlelight dinner is the 'food'. So for today's dinner, I decided to cook by myself.
I have already thought out the food menu.
I will cook his favorite dishes for dinner. Like- Seafood soup, Chipotle Chicken Tostadas with Mashed Black Beans & creamy cheese, Baked Ricotta Cannelloni with Romaine Salad & Meyer Lemon and the last, but the best one 'Red Wine'.
This is my second time cooking. The first meal I cooked was during my school days. In which not only did I burn the food, but the kitchen also caught fire. After which my parents banned me from the kitchen. I was never allowed to go there again.
"What a tragic story!" I thought in my heart and chuckled hard. What a great memory that was!!
So, This is my second time but this time I will never repeat the same mistake. Because ever since I planned to cook, I have watched thousands of cooking recipe videos which I am finally going to try today.
I can only hope that everything turns out as I imagined.
I turned on the video of the recipe on my phone and I started collecting every item shown in it from the kitchen and kept it.
Seeing so many things at once, at first I didn't understand where to start?
But then I thought of making Baked Ricotta first!
First I put the pasta to boil and then started cutting the vegetables. I carefully followed every step shown in the video and soon I prepared my first dish.
In the joy of preparing my first dish, I thought of listening to music, and then the next second, I removed the video from the phone and put on the music.
I played a K-pop song and started rocking my feet with it. Slowly, along with my feet, my hands also started waving in the air and with that, the ladle in my hands also started waving in the air. My body started swaying with the music. My mood is refreshing to hear my favorite lyrics. My lips also started to mumble with it. To match the lyrics with tone.
While dancing, I started making new recipes. I took the knife and started to chop the meat. But the knife did not touch the meat but hit my finger skin which immediately started bleeding and I groaned in pain.
"Ahhhhh!!!!"
"Angela!!!"
Suddenly, I hear the voice of Erish from behind me, who is anxiously running fast and coming towards me. I don't know how long he was standing there?
