Angela's POV
I didn't know last night when my eyes closed and I fell asleep but when I opened my eyes, it's already morning. I sat down on the bed and stretched my body lazily then my eyes went to the table clock next to my bed. It was visible in it that it was already 9:00 in the morning.
"Ohh shit! " I immediately got up from the bed and went to shower.
When I came to the living area, I saw that mom and dad were having breakfast and could also say that they had already done it.
"Good morning, Mom! Good morning, Dad!" I said in embarrassment.
Because this is my responsibility as a daughter-in-law to at least serve them breakfast if I couldn't make it. I don't know how they will think about me. I was a bit upset thinking all of these things in my mind when my mom held my hand and told me "Good Morning, Sweetheart! " Then dad smiled at me and said "Good morning, dear!
I know even if they were angry or disappointed in me, they would never talk to me about that which made me more upset.
Seeing my sad face, mom asked me " What happened Angela? Has something happened? " Her face became worried and dad was also looking at me seriously.
" Sorry, Mom! Sorry, Dad! If I disappointed you as a daughter-in-law!" I said with an upsetting tone.
Hearing me apologizing, they both stared at me confusingly.
"What are you saying? When did you disappoint us? " she asked.
"Yes, dear! What do you mean? " he also asked.
"Mom! Dad! I got up late! When this is my responsibility to serve you breakfast at least!" My face was serious.
But to my surprise, they both chuckled.
"Ohh my! Look at her! How she changed after marriage. Now she's talking about responsibilities!" She laughed.
"Angela, why did you think that? " Dad asked me.
But my expression was still serious when mom held both of my hands and said in a soft tone "First sit. " and I did as she said.
" Angela! I know what your fear is! But always remember that this is your home like always and we are both your second parents and we never thought of you as our daughter-in-law. You are always like a daughter for us who grew up in front of us, so never thought that we will treat you differently after you married our son. We love both of you equally, Understand ! " she gently explained and my eyes became moist to hear her sweet words that touched my heart deeply.
I don't know what I did so great in my last life that I have a family like this but one thing I know, my one life is less to say thank you to god. I thought in my mind and my lips curved.
"Your mom is right! Dear! Never think like that, anymore, and always remember we love as much as we love our son!" Dad explained.
This time my tears rolled down my cheeks. These tears were of joy.
"Thank you, Mom! Thank you, Dad!" I said looking at them lovingly.
"Now no more tears understand!" She said, wiping my tears.
And I nodded happily.
"Now eat your breakfast. You must be hungry. " She happily said.
I laughed " Yes, I am hungry! "
" Then you eat your breakfast, we are both going to meet family friends " mom explained to me and both of them left.
It was quite late in the morning but still, Erish had not returned home, seeing that I thought of checking my phone. I checked the inbox but there was no new message So, I thought of calling him. At first, I tried to call his number but when he did not pick up, I called his office number where I was told by the secretary that he is busy in the meeting. After knowing that, I did not call him again and started doing my Officeworks. Yes, I'm a fashion designer who loves to design pretty clothes and I'm also the Co-Founder Of "A.K Fashion". As a woman, I know how important it is for us to make our name and to be independent and strong women. My designs are famous all around the world and I achieved many awards. Many big fashion companies want me to work under them but last year I established my small company " A.K.Fashion '' which is now one of the popular designing companies.
My company achieved that status within one year, which takes many years for the other company to achieve.
My parents are very proud of me because I did not only fulfill my dream but also theirs. My father's dream was that he wanted to set up his own company one day. But for my best studies, he spent all his money on me, and while my mother chose me over her dream job and became a housewife.
My parents really work hard for my future. My family is not rich . My father is just a normal employee in Erish Dad's office. He is a self-respected man. He is a man of his words and a hard worker. He is always respected by every person in his office. Even Erish's father always praises him for his work and Honesty!
I don't know how much time I spend sketching but when I complete it and try to stretch my body, my phone rings and Erish name pops up on the screen.
"Hello!Erish!" I immediately received the call.
"Hello! " His gruff voice came from the other side of the phone.
"Erish, When are you coming back home? " I asked him to hurry without waiting for his words.
"Angela, I want to tell you something.." His voice was hesitant which I can sense.
"What happened? Erish? " I asked nervously after hearing his gravelly voice.
"Angela, I will not be able to return home for a few days," he explained to me.
"Are you going somewhere? " I sighed in relief that there was no big problem and directly asked him.
