Author's POV
"Did she eat her breakfast?" Eric asked, sitting on the dinning table while the maid served him breakfast on the table.
"No, Sir! Madam didn't touch the food at all. We tried to convince her but she didn't listen to anyone… " The maid explained in a lower tone while her eyes looked down to the ground with tension. As last time he was so angry when Angela refused to eat the meal.
"Alright, you can go…" Eric ordered without glancing at her.
The maid nodded and left him alone while she felt her day was lucky not to see him angry after hearing this news.
Eric looked at the food with a void gaze while remembering last night's incident. He all felt guilty. He himself doesn't know why he did that. He is not a person like this. Then why and how did he got so angry to do that? How could he hurt Angel? Didn't he love her more than his life? Then how? How did he get this shameful thought to do tha?
The frustration and anger almost consumed his normal mind to work properly last night.
How could he now face her? What if she despises him after yesterday's incident? What if he lost his last chance to make everything clear between them?
There are a thousand questions going on in his mind while the answer is only time. He knew it clearly. So, he decided to not to see her for now or go in front of her. It's only going to make the situation embarrassing for him or worse.
He stood from his chair without touching any dishes. The butler saw him going on without eating and immediately rushed to him.
"Sir, your breakfast!"
Eric stopped and responded, "I'm not hungry."
He left the butler behind and moved towards his study room.
After taking place on his spinning leather chair, he rested his head on the chair edge and closed his eyes. Only to play all the incidents in his mind again and again. He stayed there without coming outside at all.
The whole day passed like this while his eyes only moved to see, it's already evening.
He finally thought to check on Angela. He will not say anything but will see her from the door.
Thinking that, he came out from the study room and went towards her door. His finger is almost ready to touch the doorknob but his mind stops him from doing that. He is still not ready to go in front of her…
So. With helplessness, he went down stairs and stopped one of the maid to ask about Angela from her. This is the only choice he got.
"How is Angela doing?"
"Did she eat anything? Or say anything?"
I felt too eager to know about Angela.
"Sir, Madam didn't eat anything…she almost threw the dishes while she was too angry to let anyone talk to her. We never saw madam this angry before…She's always a gentle person…"
The maid wanted to say more that he can go and talk to Angela but as the mere servant she can't say anything beyond her position.
But she hoped he could go to Angela after hearing this news.
"Alright, You can go now." He ordered while the maid bowed to him lightly before leaving him alone.
He wanted to go and apologize to her and let her punish him but he knew she's not going to hear him out just like before and hate him more if he goes right now.
He also needs to go to 'H city' as he has today's midnight flight for that.
Firstly, He thought to at least see her before going to the airport but now things are not going to work like that anymore. So, all he can do is go without meeting her.
He paced to his room only to pack his stuff. As he got a few hours before going to the airport.
However soon he got a call from Jack to inform him that the weather had suddenly turned bad in H City and because of that all the flights there got cancelled.
Eric felt relaxed, he didn't need to leave for now at least.
But before he could feel a little bit calmer, Angela's phone rang in his pocket. For text, he always texts back to her mother, dad and friend. But for a call, he needs to go see Angela.
He pulled out the phone from his pocket while his eyes looked at the screen only to find Ella's name on there.
If it's her mom, he would disconnect the call and make some lies on the message. But for Ella, he can't take risks with her as Ella is a smart woman who guesses things too fast.
He can't ignore the call, it means now he needs to go and see Angela and he did that, walking towards the master bedroom.
The phone rang on his hand non stop while he finally stopped in front of the big door and opened the lock to go inside.
Angela, who is sitting on the bed edge, saw him coming to her room and remembered last night's incident while her hands turned into fist on the bed.
Eric saw her sharpen gaze on him and felt extremely upset at his own behaviour with her last night.
But they are staring at each other lost, attracted by a call ring which is again rigging on his hand.
Angela knew it's her phone.
Eric saw her looking at the phone's direction. So, he didn't take time and forwarded the phone to her.
"Your best friend is calling… "
"Talk to her… "
Angela looked at him with emptiness and held the phone in her hand.
Eric stood there silently to let her talk. While Angela darted her eyes on him with hostility and answered the call pressing the green option.
"Hello… " She pressed the call on the ear.
"What the hell Angela? I know you want to live alone for now but at least call us to let us know if you are well or not!"
