Author's POV
"Mam, this is pasta made by Sir, please eat it up as sir tells me that he will check your plate any time!" Maid rested the plate on the table while Angela didn't look at her at all, as she was busy looking at the wide sky with a deep gaze. She's not in the mood to talk to anyone for now.
On the other side, Maid felt bad for her, but she could only sigh helplessly and moved back, closing the door behind her.
Angela stood peacefully looking at the sky for more minutes before she finally turned her head to check on the pasta.
She moved slowly towards the plate as she sat on the couch and held the plate to see the pasta decoration.
'It was the same!' She thought in her mind and good honeymoon memories took her mind.
The pasta which they eat together and more intimately. Her lips shivered while her eyes flicker before her tears covered her vision completely but she didn't let them fall.
She took a spoon and had a bite while she was lost in happy memories of Eric and her. Where they smiled together, hugged tighter, kissed together… so many intimate memories made her heart numb at this point.
She always feels this emotion as the sweet memories which she wanted to take care of with her for her life journey...but now things have changed, this memory now only brings her so much pain and suffering.
She takes a bite of pasta from her spoon and remembers his first time cooking for her and how he strictly banned her from the kitchen. How many small memories like this make her always feel blessed to have him beside her but now all just giving her pain and distress.
While with this she felt she can't go like this, as with spending time here, her heart could get weaker and she started to doubt her own choice for her life…
'No...I need to leave...I'm not going to change my decision…' Her mind speaks out.
While this all thought made her distressed as she could barely eat a few spoons before putting back the plate on the table again and went towards the window again. in lost mind.
"Dad! Are you serious? He moved his finger?" Eric asked with a big smile to his dad on his phone.
"Yes! Son!"
"He is finally showing symptoms to wake up!"
"His health is recovering...and the doctor told us to be more patient with him now!" Eric understood what that meant and responded," Don't worry dad, bro will never give up...he will come for us...because we all need him…" He never used the 'bro' word every time. It only happens when he truly feels to say that. And that moment is now, finally his brother showing positive signs in health. After so much struggle, finally, there is new hope for them.
"Yes, Son! You are telling the truth! He can never give up!" Eric felt glad that this news made his parents so happy after so many days later, and he hoped it would be maintained.
"Dad, where is mom?" Eric asked.
"She's in Erish's room. After hearing the doctor's words, your mother always goes to your brother's room for many hours and just sits beside him in the hope, he will wake up..." He could hear his dad's sighing.
"Dad, I want to talk with mom." Eric's words made his dad move to Erish's room. There was a sleeping figure on the big bed, and it was surrounded by so many machines while just by his side, the mid-aged lady creasing his forehead with soft eyes.
"Honey, your son is on the call…" Eric could hear his dad talk with his mom.
Soon the phone sounded his mom's soft voice," Eric…"
"Mom…" Eric could feel his mom is tired with her tone.
"How are you son? Did you know Erish showed positive health signs!" Her voice filled with warmth and joy while Eric replied from another side," Yes, mom! Dad told me everything and I'm so happy!"
"Your brother is finally going to wake up!" Hearing her mom's words, Eric doesn't want to break her heart, as he knew it was still unknown when he could finally open his eyes.
"Mom, he will! You don't be too hard on yourself…don't ignore your health mom!" Eric's voice filled with concern for his mom.
"It's not like that...I'm eating well!" Hearing her voice, he could imagine her facial expression.
"Mom, Dad told me, you stay at bro's side all the time! " He asked.
"Yes, because I just can't help myself to watch him whenever I think about him moving his fingers in front of your dad! I also want to witness that scene…"
Eric could feel how much his mother cared about them. She is a pure soul. Even after witnessing so much, she never is even a little hard on anybody. She didn't throw anger at her husband. She didn't lose her mind and stayed strong behind him while she also gave me the strength to be strong.
"I understand Mom, but still don't let yourself get tired in all this, or else Bro never feels happy, when he wakes up to see you and dad like this…"
"You are right son, we will take care of our health from now on...I promise…"
Eric smiled warmly.
However, before he could say more, His mother's voice came from another side first, " Son…"
"Yes, Mom!" He let her first complete her words.
"Do you meet Angela? You didn't tell us what happened after you went to talk to her! Your dad informs me that she texts you to meet!"
Eric felt silent for a moment and remembered the day when he went happily to meet her and in exchange, she gave him a divorce paper. However, he couldn't tell his parents, so he made up a story.
"Mom! She's still not ready to meet me but don't worry she will soon, I hope…"
"Yes, you are right! Let her adjust her mind. When she will be ready then you can explain to her, your side also…"
"Yeah, Mom…" He pressed his forehead center with his hands while feeling sickened toward himself for telling lies to them.
