Eric's POV
I checked the footage and everything looked normal until I saw something suspicious. I rewind the video and tried to watch it carefully. Until I suddenly realized the girl in the mask while she was coming out of Angela's room.
It's not the maid who entered a few minutes ago but Angela. She is herself the one in maid's uniform.
Damn it! This realization hit me and I felt my body burn in ashes. I couldn't stop myself but angrily shouted at the driver the next moment to drive faster while my hand dialed the maid's number to inform her to check Angela's room. I saw her leave the room. And then dialed the security guard's number to order them not to let go of any maid before I came back.
However, their next line made me realize I'm late.
"B-But Sir! One of the maids left because her mom's health is not well!"
Hearing him, my brain was almost ready to burst out with rage.
"What? Did she wear a mask?" I noticed she hid her face when she came out of her room.
"Yes! Sir!" His voice turned to shake with fear.
"Damn you! That was Angela! Now go and find her!"
I ordered with anger while he informed me that he could find her because she went just ten minutes ago.
Hearing this, I felt there was still a chance to catch her. So, I asked the driver to move to the main road. If she wanted to escape she would go towards the main road to run.
"Angela, don't leave me! Please!" My mind shouted while all I could feel was a loss.
Angela's POV
I don't know which path I'm going as it's already too dark on the way. But yes I can hear the car's running sound. It means I'm close to the main road.
Yes, I just need to run out there and everything will be fine. I don't need to see Eric again. I'll move from this city and never go to let him find me.
This is going to be his punishment to make me stay with him without my constant.
I will never go back to him and never come to this city. Just a few steps more.
But suddenly a torchlight fell on my face and I used my palm to cover the light coming to my eyes.
"She's there! Catch her!" I heard some men's voices and felt nervous.
Damn it! They get news of my escape. It means Eric also knew about it. This all realization made me nervous to the core.
No! I don't want to go there again. I'll run out no matter what.
Only after thinking that and realizing their steps getting closer to me. I ran to different sides.
"She's going that way! Move faster!" I could hear them which gave me a sense of insecurities.
I moved towards the roadside big tree and hid myself there. While they ran shortly to the tree side but they didn't notice me.
"Where has she gone?" One of them shouted.
"I think this way!" The other one pointed towards a tree-covered area.
"Let's separate then!"
"Alright!"
Everyone divided into two men and went in a different direction.
As soon as they were all gone. I sighed in big relief. Now I can move.
Author's POV
With every passing second, his heart thumped fast as he didn't know but he felt something bad was going to happen and it was getting stronger with passing time.
He hopes she's alright but on the other side feeling scared to lose her for his whole life. His fear made him do everything going against his and her will. Even made her hurt but is this all worth it? Now he regrets taking that impulsive decision.
What if she's gone and never coming back again? As soon as this thought craved his heart, His palms turned into fists. While he felt my heart thumping rapidly and blood rushing out in the opposite direction all over his body. He lost all sense at this moment.
His eyes turned bloodshot red while he felt everything was shattered again and this time it's taking his last hope also. The hope he got with him.
'I'm sorry Angela' He whispered through his mind while making a big decision in his heart.
He called his guards to know if they could find Angela or not.
"Hello, Sir!"
"Did you find her?" Eric asked in a cold tone but inside his heart, the storm was running out.
"No Sir, we saw Madam! but she runs away! We are still trying to find her!"
"Where did you see her last?" He asked the guard.
"Sir, she went to the north side of a big road!"
"Alright!" He disconnects the call.
"Driver go towards north side road!" He ordered the driver and the driver immediately changed his way toward the north side.
The place is not far from Eric's reach anymore. Now all he prayed was she got her before she left him.
At least he could apologize to her for giving her so much pain and suffering when he promised to give her only love and respect. The bond that she always wanted. The bonds which they both can adore throughout their life.
However, how could he think that the love, the marriage which is based on lies, could go on for a long time?
He is a big fool to think that he deserves her in the same place. But now everything turned out to be crystal clear in front of her eyes.
She doesn't want him. Not before, not bow, not in the future. She can't fall in love with someone like him who thinks about himself, not her. Who always made her cry and now made her run from him like a criminal. When he is the main criminal to lock her, to make her take this decision, to make her live like this. In the name of love, all he gave her was pain, suffering, and nothing. He didn't different from Erish. He also breaks her heart.
But now he will resolve everything. He promised. He will apologize to her as soon as he meet her.
