Boris wants to kidnap me? But why?
The question popped in my mind, It confused me.
"He wants to take revenge from Enzo!," he said, looking at my confused face.
"Enzo killed all his men and almost killed him, He also ruined my father's business… My father discovered that you… are his weakness," he said,
"That day in the auction, my men found Boris's men following us and watching you while we were dancing on the stage, we caught them and then… I discovered his plan…That was the reason why I decided to send you back to Enzo…"
All that he said was running in my head, Boris wants to use me to hurt Enzo?
"I should have sent you with him, I never thought that he would listen to me and take my words seriously…This is all my fault…" he placed his head down on his hands, "If I did what he asked this day wouldn't have come," he mumbled.
I placed my hand on his shoulder, "Nothing is your fault, Stop blaming yourself," I said and tried to smile at him.
He looked at me while taking my hand in his, "I wanted to keep you safe… and happy, I can keep you safe but I can't keep you happy...with me, I know you love him," he smiled at me.
Looking at him and the situation, Enzo and I are in, making me very angry with Boris. All this can only be stopped if I go to him.
I have to put an end to this, and that can only happen if I go to Boris. I decided as I stood from my chair and walked towards the operation theater where Enzo was put in.
I stared at him through the see-through glass, doctors were doing the operation. It hurts me to see him in this situation, tears were streaming down my eyes.
I took a deep breath and wiped my tears, I turned back and walked towards Nikolai.
"Can I have your phone?" I asked him as I extended my hand to him. He stared at my hand with a suspicious look on his face, he pulled his phone out and put it on my hand.
I gripped it, "Thank you," I said and turned around, I walked a few steps away from him and stopped in the corner. I looked around and dialed paul's number in it, after ringing and ringing Paul answered the call.
"Hello," he said through the phone,
"Hello, Paul," I said in a low voice.
"Yes, Venessa?" He replied,
"Paul, I need you to do something for me!"
LORENZO’S POV
As I heard unfamiliar noises around me, I slowly began opening my eyes. Everything was a bit blurry in the beginning, but eventually, my vision became clearer and the first thing I noticed was a long white coat.
I couldn't understand what was happening at all, I tried to open my mouth but there was a strong pain on my chest. I hissed because of the pain, hearing me the doctor who was standing in front of me turned his head towards me and pushed my shoulder back making lay back on the bed,
“Mr. Francisco. Please lay down,” he said, looking at my face, I didn't understand what was happening around me. I was very confused, and this pain in my chest was making it impossible to move.
I tried to move my lips, but my throat was sore, and it felt like something very hot liquid just went into my throat making it impossible to talk. The doctor who was standing in front of me saw my face and grabbed the glass of water from the table and passed it over to me.
I immediately took it and swallowed it whole. After drinking the water, I looked up at him who was talking to the nurse next to him. She gave him a file with few papers, he began checking the papers and mumbled something to the nurse.
I opened my mouth to say something but before that doctor turned to me, “Mr. Francisco, you need to relax, and please lay down also don’t talk much, it may hurt you,” he said. I was pissed now.
What's happening here? I glared at him while gritting my teeth, “What's going on here?” I asked him While looking around,” Where’s Venessa?” I asked.
Before the doctor could say something, the door began opening and Nikolai walked in. Looking at me, he smiled a bit. There was something wrong with his smile. I don’t know why but I felt like something had happened and that includes Venessa.
Suddenly panic began erupting from the bottom of my heart as I looked around searching for my Venessa. I immediately tried to get up but my chest pain didn’t let me. Nikolai immediately ran to me,” Enzo!” he yelled while holding my arms and making me sit. I hissed at the pain and tried to control it.
“w..whe..where is she?” I asked him, hearing my question his face fell and he began avoiding my eye contact,
“sh..she’s okay,” he said, handing me tablets with a glass of water.
I glanced at the glass and pushed it away from me as I grabbed his collar and pulled him to me until his face was mere inches away from mine.
“Where is she?” I said while gritting my teeth and glaring at him.
“Trust me, Enzo, she is okay,” he said while visibly gulping. I got very confused at his reaction and my surroundings and this goddamn pain.
I looked down at myself and noticed all the bandages around my chest area, “You had heart surgery,” The doctor said, I looked at him and then everything ran back to me.
The attack, the bullet hitting me, Venessa’s crying face when someone was taking me away from her, everything rushed into my mind.
