I had to agree to let him be in my mansion because I know It hurts her to see me with Jessica but I had no other choice because Jessica’s father was my business partner, knowing that I was single he wanted me to be his son in law.
I can't refuse him as we both were bound in a project and if I refused him he would step back from the project which can be a big loss to my business. Keeping that in mind, I said I wanted to grow a relationship with her first and later we will discuss the marriage, he agreed to that and from then I had to tolerate Jessica.
I know she was giving bitchy attitude towards Venessa, but I had to ignore her stupid behavior because of her father, I know that she lied that Venessa pushed her actually she wanted to push and make Venessa fall from stairs but instead of Venessa, she slipped and fell down from the stairs and broke her ankle.
While all this was happening in the mansion, I thought someone had to be with her, support her as I had to act to be with Jessica and support Jessica. Keeping all this in mind, I agreed to what Nikolai said to me. Every Time I saw them together I felt hurt and I had to convince myself that it's best for her to be with him, he is the one for her and she'll be happier with him than with me but that was the hardest part for me to take in.
The sound of someone pushing the door and walking inside made me snap back to reality, everyone was looking at Paul who was breathing hard as he ran for hours without stopping. John immediately walked towards him and gave a glass of water, he gulped it whole and took a deep breath before turning his head towards me, “Venessa called me before she went missing,” he said looking at me and Nikolai, we both looked at each other. Before I could ask him the question, Nikolai bet me and asked him,” What did she say to you?” he asked him as he stood up from the chair.
“She asked me to bring the chain which Lorenzo gave her,” he said looking at me with a small smile playing on his lips.
What! She had it...with her..till…. now?
Hearing what he said my lips moved upward, “She had it all this while with her,” I whispered, happy to know this small detail.
All of a sudden, The actual hint she gave to me by asking him to bring the chain to her hit me. I once told her that the chain had a tracking device in it, I totally forgot about this.
I turned to John, "John!" I said, looking at my face he immediately understood what I was thinking.
"I'm on it, Sir," he said while nodding his head and walking out of the room.
I internally smirked at her smart move, “That's my cleaver puppy,” I said with a big smirk on my face.
Nikolai stared at me with confusion written on his face, clearly, he didn't know about the necklace I gave her.
As I was smirking, one thing struck me, Wait… what?
Puppy? Where did that come from?
My men were trying to track her necklace, and it's been 2 hours now, still no trace of her. I’ve become reckless thinking of her and what condition she might be in. Right now I’m sitting on the bed as the doctor said, take rest, he says, because of the heart surgery I need to take rest at least for a week or else it may not heal and can give immense pain in the chest.
He wasn’t allowing me to go out of this room at all, and he was taking the help of Nikolai to make me stay in this room surrounding me with his bodyguards. All I’m allowed to do is think of ways to save her from Boris and torture him for kidnaping her, just thinking about him makes my blood boil. He has the audacity to attack my mansion and kidnap her, he even tried to shoot her but luckily it hit me.
As I was dosed in my thoughts my room door burst open and john run inside, I looked up and saw him breathing heavily, “Boss…” he couldn’t even talk he was breathing that heavily,
“John, breath,” I said, sitting up and curious to know what he has to say.
He took a deep breath and looked at me, “We found her! Boss, she's downtown… we can track her through GPRS… we set that up,” he said, Nikolai walked inside the room and glanced at John.
He walked up to me, “we are going to the location, You stay here,” He spoke looking at me, his bodyguards walked inside and stood next to him. Rage filled me, ”How dare you! To command me,” I responded through my gritted teeth as my anger rose.
“Did you forget who you are talking to? Or should I remind you,” I asked looking at him dead in his eyes, there was no fear in those ocean blue eyes of his like I see in others.
“I know!” he stated with his hands in his pockets, ”I’m talking to my brother,” his words hit me hard, I didn’t know what or how to react. I just glared at him, knowing very well it won’t affect him.
“You need to stay here, we will take care of that,” he replied while turning around,
I was so angry that I took my gun out and pointed it at him, all his bodyguards took their guns out and pointed at me, watching all this John with my men rushed to me with their guns pointing at Nikolai’s men while protecting me. “You don’t tell me what to do,” I spoke angrily,
Hearing me, Nikolai turned around slowly and gazed at me, “It’s not the time for all of this,” he said looking at me.
“I’m coming with you,” I said as I began getting up from the bed, John rushed to my side and helped me stand up from the bed. My chest hurts a little from the movement. I placed my hand over my chest and tried to control the ache, but It became a bit extreme when I tried to step ahead. My forehead began sweating because of the pain, and I tried to control myself by leaning against my bed while placing a hand over it, “I’m coming wit..th you,” I said while walking towards him with the help of John, the more I walk the more it hurts but I don’t want to sit here and do nothing.
I will save her from that bastard, and I have to punish him for what he has done to my Venessa.
