" So tell me what happened that night? Who gave it to you? " He asked me, his mouth dangerously closer to mine.
"I'm serious, I really don't know." I said, lowering my eyelids and froze in my place when I felt his hands cup my cheeks and make me look at his eyes.
"Do you remember what happened that night?" he asked and I could feel my eyes instantly getting deep inside his mesmerizing blue orbs.
"No," I found myself answering but he stayed like this for a while. "You just compelled me. What else do you want to believe me?" I asked softly and I watched his eyes narrow
"But still I'm not giving this back to you. Now get out." He said, raising his voice a little as I saw stand up.
"But I need it to protect myself-" I trailed off not knowing how to tell him about returning it to Terry and end ties with him.
"Us? I can assure you, barbie you won't be offended in any way." he retorted, turning around and glaring at me as I quickly shook my head.
"From other vampires." I tried again but no. He asked me to leave again. There is no way I can win over this monster with words, I was only wasting my breath.
"It's not like I know who gave that to me so-." I barely muttered under my breath when I realized what I just said. This caused Alex to stop and turn back.
"What did you say?" he asked slowly walking up to me as I stopped at the door.
"I'm saying that-"
"Your heart is beating rapidly now." He stopped me midway and pushed me against the nearest wall. I let out a gasp and starred at Alex whose eyes is filled with something other than his usual hatred for me. I am stunned at his actions today.
"I can't tell him I met Terry, he might kill him for coming inside the mansion and for giving me that chain." I thought, biting my bottom lip hesitantly.
" Who gave it to you? " He asked me again. Hisneyes looking at me. He is going to compel me again and I closed my eyes so he didn't get what he wants.
"Look at me," he started soft then let out a frustrated growl when I didn't obey him. "look up at me, Rina!" he snapped and I let out a soft whimper upon feeling his breath hit against my lips. I can't,
"I-I told you, I don't know..." I choked out and gripped his hands, hoping he would loosen the grip.
"Then open your eyes!" he spat at me. "Have it your way then, Barbie" He said lowly like a whisper. Then I felt something soft being pressed against my lips. Two large hands grabbed my cheeks as I opened my eyes in shock to. See Alex's lips on mine.
"Stop, what are you doing?!" I pushed him away, tears forming in my eyes.
"I warned you," he said awfully calm as I touched my lips still in a daze.
My first kiss.
I looked at Alex as he reached his pant pocket and pulled out a chain.
"Who gave this to you?" he asked, emphasizing each word and I started to panic again.
Without wasting time, I rushed towards him and snatched the chain from him. I then tried to dismantle it.What the hell was wrong with me?!
I cried out in pain as I successfully split it up..
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" He asked me angrily.
"I have had enough of us fighting over a mere chain." I lied,so that he won't find out that it was Terry who gave me that chain. I don't know what will happen if Alex get to know that I was trying to use him as an escape route, although I never actually tried to use him. He grabbed my hands but I brushed him off.
"You need to clean your hands now." He growled as I went silent and gulped silently when his eyes grew a shade darker, he is looking at me without even a blink of eyes. he was slowly clouded by list
"I-I'll be leaving-" I tell him and turned to leave when his arms wrapped around my shoulders, causing me shivers. Good kind of it.
"I'm not ready..." I replied nervously as his breath hit my nostrils and temperature suddenly felt hot. He ignored my words and started to place soft kisses on my neck, grazing his lips against my skin. I started to tremble fearing that he's gonna feed of me.
"You shouldn't have done that," he whispered in my ears causing goosebumps. "Please, don't" I plead silently. Again I saw something change in his eyes but it left within seconds.
"I'm not going to feed off you, Rina. " He said . My eyes widened in shock. He let go off me and walked back towards his bed, causing my heart beat to normal.
"Wh-why?" I asked, surprised at the fact that he didn't make a move. It was shocking that he keeps on letting me off the hook. Why? I don't get it.
"What do you mean "why"?" he asked with a glare . Maybe because I didn't want it. Even then Why else would a blood thirsty vampire stop himself every time?
"Thank you for letting me go..." I replied gratefully as I turned around. I turned to doorknob to open the door. But then he slammed the door shut again . I gasped in utter disbelief. my heart is beating several times faster than normal now.
"Oh, who asked you to go now, Barbie?" his cold voice made me shudder and regret this situation. If only David didn't pester me with questions, I won't be here now.
"Wh-what do you mean?" I stuttered as I face him. he leaned closer, his hands caging me with the door. Those blue eyes bore into mine and I felt lost in his eyes . I want to push him away but I couldn't even move now. How was he able to have this effect on me?
"Well, you're sleeping here with me tonight, Barbie" he said, a grin appeared on his face upon seeing my panicked state.
"With you? " I asked unbelievably again. He nodded and lifted me in his arms. " Don't worry. I won't do anything " He said in a mild whisper after placing me in the bed. " Unless you want me to" He kissed my forehead and then as if nothing happened he got on other side of the bed and dozed off leaving me in my thoughts.
