Alex then disappeared into thin air. Vampires and their abilities.What is he doing to do? With every second passing through, my heartbeat keep on increasing. I am gonna have a panic attack.
" He went to get your parents. " David said with a concern. As soon as he finished, Alexander arrived with my dad in his arms. My dad wasn't very pleased with this.
" What the hell did you do that Alex himself has come to bring me here? " He angrily asked me.
" Dad, I want to go home. you know that I don't even want to be here. You forced me. I don't like it here. " I replied sobbing . He wasn't even happy to see me after 3 weeks.
" You're staying here. Even if you decide to run, don't ever come to my house. You don't have any home. "
I stared at him in utter disbelief. He didn't mean it. Did he?
“Are you..." I started to choke out when the infamous devil chuckled as me and my dad snapped our heads towards him.
"The argument was pleasant to hear and all but you're forgetting why we're really here.” with that said, he turned to stare down at my father, who shockingly nodded, as if she understood exactly what he meant.
“What do you mean?" I asked him fearing the worse. David say something like "Alex, don't." from behind me.
"Barbie , your punishment of course." Alexander said icily sweet but his expression said otherwise.
"What do you mean?" I asked softly, my eyes raging with distress when I noticed my dad tilted his head a little, revealing his neck.
“This.” was all he mumbled as he grabbed my dad's neck and dug his fangs inside his skin. I scream in agony along with my dad but I couldn't move. That prick used his freaking compulsion power on me.
“Stop! What are you doing, let him go!what did he do? It's my mistake." I started screaming my lungs out at him to stop but he keeps on sucking blood from my dad.
“Katarina, calm down!" David said before pulling me into a hug from behind but I pushed him away.
“Get away from him, you sick freak!” I yelled as David picked me up. I bang my fists into him before giving up letting him hug me. I could only hear my dad choking out in pain before Alexander finally released his grip, dropping him on the ground. I froze as his body fall on the ground as he stayed still and I dropped to the floor from David's arms. David tried to lift me.
“Wait! My dad, he's-"
" No. " David picked me up in his arms and I snapped at him to let me go. I was about to yell at him when I saw Alexander lift my dad who was still unconscious in his arms.
"Don't hurt him!" I yelled as he looks at me.
“don't you think it's too late for that? Next time, behave" he shot back before disappearing out of sight again .I was about to start crying and hurling curses when David spoke.
“He's taking him back, he will be fine . just calm down.” he mumbled . This is what I hate about Vampires. They never have any remorse or regret. I kept silent as he guided me back inside. Franklin was waiting for us near the staircase.
"I'll take her.” I didn't even bother to fight when David handed me over to Franklin. He stare at me but I kept my gaze on his chest, my face remaining expressionless.
“how are you feeling now?" He ask softly. I wanted to scream at him to shut the hell up. I wanted to let them all know just how much I hated their existence but words will never be able to describe my hatred towards them. “Katarina?” he called, still carrying me in his arms as he walked through the hallway.
“Leave me alone." I mumbled, drawing in a shaky breath before unconsciously burying my face inside his chest and
he went silent before guiding me to my room. He opened the door and slowly walked towards the bed, gently squeezing my shoulders. Where was his super speed when you needed it? Or was he just trying to act nice, hoping I will fall for his little act?
“Rest, if there is anything you need, call me." he stated softly with a hint of concern in his tone but I ignored them. He placed me down on the bed . a tear rolled down my cheeks before I brushed them away, . A normal person in my position would be infuriated right now but here I am, breaking down and crying all over again. But that's only because I feel helpless, weak and vulnerable. I can't do anything. He fucking drained my father. I hate him. I hate the blood suckers.
"Hey. It's over. Relax and sleep" Franklin said before his cold fingers grazed my cheeks and I flinched before looking up to face him, quickly brushing away his hand. I hadn't even noticed him sitting on my bed as he stared down at me, guilt flickering in his eyes but I knew better than to think that he or any other vampire feeling any remorse for their actions
"I'm fine." I lied, irritation clearly evident in my voice but he didn't leave.
“I'm staying here until you fall asleep.” he confirmed and my pulse raced at his words.
"P-please, I've already learned my lesson. I won't try anything-" I sobbed as I jolted up straight but he shook his head.
"I am not going to hurt you.” he assured but I didn't take his word for it. I wanted to, but after what Alexander did tonight,
there is no way that I am ever going to trust a vampire. Not in near future.
“Please..." I pleaded, feeling more desperate and scared at the thought that he might feed on me if I fall asleep.
“Rest.” he ignored my pleading, fixating his ice blue eyes into my brown ones and I sighed in defeat. I know better than
to argue with a vampire.
A sob escaped through my lips before my eyelids finally gave in as I drifted off into a deep sleep.
*5 days later*
It's been five days since I've last seen Alexander or gotten into any trouble. I followed all the rules and regulations here. I made sure that I wasn't late for the breakfast, lunch or dinner. In fact, I was the first one up every morning. I eat quickly and gets back to my room before anyone else wakes up or comes to eat. Luckily, I haven't seen Alexander since that "incident" and David reassured me that my father was indeed alive and doing well. I didn't quite believe him at first. I believed him after he made a phone call to him. He sounded annoyed and irritated. He didn't even bother to ask me how I was doing or why my mom wasn't calling to check up on me. I don't know why he changed drastically.
"Katy, are you ready?" James called me from behind the door but I didn't bother to answer him. Instead, I just stared at the gorgeous strapless black dress that I was practically forced to wear today .
Yesterday, we are ordered to dress up for the event that's happening now. We are supposed to get dressed and meet the guys downstairs.
Apparently, today was the day that we give the whole "speech about the vampire's big heart and their hospitality to our kind. This will be helpful in their ties with them. According to me, we have to lie through out the whole speech.
“Fuck, you look so damn sexy." David's voice sends shiver down my spine. I turned my head to look at him, Franklin and Joey, three of them staring at me in admiration. To be honest, I feel a bit more comfortable around these three than the other vampires who lives here, since they haven't hurt me in anyway or tried to make a move on me. Not that I like them or anything, just saying that they are better than the rest here. I went to the three of them and forced a smile. I am not happy with the fact that they have been acting so comfortable around me for the past 3 days. I didn't want them to feel like I am getting used to them. I wanted them to stay away from me but it feels like that the harder I push them away, the harder they're trying to pull me in. After grabbing a black clutch, I slipped on my lace-up heels and followed them outside where the girls and a few
more vampires are waiting for us.
The guys wearing suits and had their hairs brushed neatly, almost making them look like somewhat decent human beings. Some guys whistled upon my arrival but I didn't bother to make
eye-contact with either of them.
“Where are we going ?" I heard Hanna ask and Danny chuckled.
"Who said anything about going anywhere? It's the human community who are coming to see us sweetheart, not the other way around.” He said with a hint of sarcasm in his tone. Jerk.
He hates our kind with a passion like I do.
