Author's POV
Dylan smiled to himself as he thought of Ariana, he was ready to take their relationship to another level, no more the relationship between a master and a slave but that of a man and a woman, "I'm ready to accept and Ariana Lien, I love her" I whispered to my wolf and I felt it's joy, I was finally accepting a mate for him after so many years of estranging myself from love and relationships, he was practically singing in Glee, "why don't we give her a romantic dinner out today" Lien suggested and I almost laugh out loud at it's exuberant, "Slow down, will ya" I admonished softly
"Don't wanna slow down anymore, I've waited long enough" I smiled, he had indeed waited long enough, now I am ready to open my heart and accept love once more, to accept what I am feeling for my slave, "alright! We'll take her out for dinner but first, we'll need to get her some good clothes don't you think?"
"Great idea" I almost rolled my eyes at his immediate excited response, right now all my ideas will be great to him.
Ariana chose that moment to enter and my heartbeat skyrocketed, my palms grew sweaty and sweat beaded my upper lips, damn, I was so nervous, Dylan Sabastine was actually nervous because he was about to ask a girl out for shopping, "tell her right now, what are you waiting for?" He heard his wolf say and he cleaned his sweaty palms on his cloth, he couldn't tear his eyes from her he, stared so hard that she started to feel self-conscious, she twitched her hands nervously, trying to dust out unseen dirt from her clothes.
"Arrrhhh, you're such a chicken, tell her" lien urged and he simply told him to shut up
"What?" Ariana asked, when she saw him mouth something but couldn't quite grab what he meant, he shook his head"nothing" he replied still eyeing her, she was wearing a plain skirt and blouse, her hair parked in a bunny and absolutely no makeup whatsoever but she looks beautiful to me, he remembers the night he had sex with her, it was nothing but pain for her but just the memory of her soft succulent flesh against his skin made his manhood hardened and his breathing hitched "are you alright?" He raised a brow at her question, trying to hide his discomfort at the sudden bulge in his trouser, "you kept staring " she said as a way of explanation when he made no attempt to answer her
"I...er...want to take you somewhere " gosh, why was I stuttering? He mumbled
"Where?"
"No questions asked, just do as I say and follow me" he quickly stood up and started walking towards the door, expecting her to follow, "you mean like right now?" her bewildered voice made me turn around,
"Yes, right now" his tone sounded so commanding and he mentally kicked himself, he was behaving like a high school kid, standing near his first crush
"Could you be a little bit nice and romantic" lien admonished, he had absolutely no idea why he was behaving in such a way also, without any more question, she followed me outside. The love story between a witch and a werewolf is about to begin
Dylan's POV
I took her to the company clothesline, we have a large variety of expensive clotheslines, some are customized, taking her to the company's clothesline, I was sure I could give her clothes befitting her new title, "The Alpha's woman" the thought of her being my woman made me feel good inside, "Dylan Sabastine now have a woman"
The salesperson immediately left what she was doing when I entered, she ran towards me to attend to me, almost falling down, likewise the others when they noticed my presence, ran towards me, they looked from me to Ariana, then back again, I simply nodded towards Ariana, "get something for her, get an out of stock cloth for her, do we still have that here?"
The sales manager frowned, confusion etching his forehead, "we have just two out of stock, you want me to get it for her?" his voice was doubtful and he was staring at me as if I had completely lost my mind, I felt very irritated at his reaction, "yes, get it for her, do you have a problem with that? Looks to me like you don't like your job anymore " I answered coldly and watched with satisfaction as his gaze suddenly clouded with fear, "I'm sorry Sir, I'll do as you say, I have no problem with it" he quickly scurried away to give the instruction that the cloth should be brought immediately, Ariana was taken into the dressing room and she came out after about ten minutes, my breathe quickly stopped at the sight of her, she looked drop-dead gorgeous, the transformation from her previous self was mind-blowing, the gown was a long yellow flowery gown that accented her blossom, the low bodice showed off her cleavage, I felt the urge to rest my head on it, my gaze was glued to her and my mouth hung opened, I was awestruck at the transformation, she frowned when I wasn't giving an expected reply, "what do you think?" She asked with bated breath, "I'm lost for a word, you look so damn gorgeous"
She blushed, looking shy and self-conscious, something in my tone must have made her feel that way but damn, I couldn't help myself, she was so fucking beautiful.
Ariana's POV
I stood there ensnared in Dylan's gaze, wearing the most beautiful gown I have ever seen and feeling like the most beautiful lady on earth under his heated gaze, I couldn't fully comprehend why he had brought me here, perhaps, there's a shoot going on and he wanted to see how suitable the gown will look before taking it to his models, secretly, I hope to possess such beautiful gown and that those look in his eyes were really for me, but I couldn't let myself hope so as not to be too disappointed in the end, I held his gaze, feeling my heart beats faster as he slowly walked closer, still holding my gaze, I swallowed to clear my suddenly clogged throat, he was standing just a foot away, I ought to move back, to put some distance between us but my feet were suddenly stuck on that particular position, he lean closer and I was sure he would definitely hear my heart pounding painfully in my chest, a strand of hair fell out of place and I clenched my fist to stop myself from impulsively tucking it back in place, his hands slowly came up and trailed a line down to my cheeks before tucking tendrils of hair behind my ears, he left his hand there as his gaze roamed over my face, right now, there was just the two of us here, every other thing had suddenly faded into thin air, I could feel the heat of his breathe against my cheeks, involuntarily, my lips parted slightly, his eyes burned molten as he gazed at my parted lips, he dipped his head and then paused, he suddenly straightened and moved away from me, I blinked as I came back to earth, "get the dresses all packed up" he instructed the sales manager before whose head bobbed up and down, nervously looking from me to Dylan, who walked out of the door without so much as a backward glance. I could hear the whispers among the sales cashiers as they stared at me with what could be interpreted as envy, I collected the now packaged clothes and went out.
He was seated in the car seemingly lost in thought, I got in and without another word, he pulled out of the drive.
We drove for about ten minutes in complete silence and I started fidgeting on my seat, I wish I could read what was going on in his mind, earlier, he had given me a hint about how he felt, now he has completely locked up, perhaps, he was regretting his actions, I had seen the warm side of him and I pretty like it, I don't want a cold Dylan again, I cleared my throat to get his attention, his gaze averted to me for brief second before gazing back to the road, I cleared my throat again and this time, I got his attention as he asked if I was okay, I shook my head and he frowned, his gaze mirrored concern, "what's wrong?"
"Nothing is wrong with me but with you"
Confusion etched his brow, "what do you mean?"
"You're now so withdrawn, what's the matter"
He gazed back to the road as he simply answered that he was fine. We finally got home and he got out of the car without another word, headed inside, I couldn't take his sudden withdrawal and silence anymore, I quickly got out from my own side of the car and followed him, stopping him just as he was about to enter the house, I held his arms, "tell me, what's wrong?"
"I said I am fine..." I rounded upon him, facing him squarely with my chin up
"No, you're not, something is eating you up, what is it"
A second ticked passed as he stared at me in silence,
"This is eating me up" then he did the unexpected, I gasped as he dipped his head and claimed my lips.
