Ariana's POV
I groaned in pain as I opened my eyes, I was in an unfamiliar house, I was lying on a bed, although the room was dark, I could see that everything in it was in red, bloody eerie red, where the heck am I and who had brought me here? "Hello! Anyone there?" I called out but my words only echoed around the room, I squirmed, trying to loosen the bound on my wrist, my head was bounding and I was sure even without touching it that it would be swollen, who the hell had brought me here and what does he want from me? From the corner of my eyes, I saw a shadow detach itself from the wall and moved towards me but it was too dark to see his face, my lips trembled and I jammed them together to still its trembling, "who...who..are..are..you?" I asked in a shaky voice, I knew I shouldn't exhibit fear but I couldn't help it, I would have to admit that I was scared out of my wit, the shadow made no reply but only came towards me, " do not struggle too hard, your bound won't come off" he rasped
"Wha..t do you want from me?"
"Nothing" was his simple reply as he paced around the room, "let me rephrase, what I want from you is nothing physical" I frowned thinking of what was not physical that he would want from me
"What will that be?" I asked in a suspicious tone
"I want you Ariana to realize who you are" he spurted in anger and my eyes widened, wait a minute, that voice sounded so damn familiar, "Eric?"
"Yea, Ariana, that's me" the light in the room suddenly came on and I blinked at its brightness, his silhouette stood before me, he stooped, bringing his face closer to me and I blinked him into focus, "why have you brought me here?"
"Do you know that your mother once lived here? You belong to this coven"
"I... don't...kn.."
"Will you just listen to me, Ariana?" He barked cutting me off and I felt a flare of anger in me, "listen to what? That I am a witch? how dare you abduct me because of such nonsense, witches don't exist, they're only a figment of our imagination "
"Oh, yeah? Do you truly believe that Ariana?"
"Untie me, I want to leave right now" I twisted against the knot on my hands and glanced sharply at him when he made no move to untie me, his face was twisted in an angry twist, "why? So you can run to your lover? How many times do I have to tell you that both of you cannot be, you're a witch and he's a werewolf, werewolves killed your mother and Dylan is just using you"
I gritted my teeth until they ache, "how do you know so much about my mother" he averted his face at my question but I wasn't in the mood to take averted face for an answer so I screamed, "tell me"
"I once worked with your mother, she was a very powerful witch and you inherited her powers, but she was killed because she wanted to protect you"
"That means you're a wizard then" he made no reply to my statement and I nodded, "so you want me to avenge her, how? I don't even remember who I am"
"That's why I am here, I'll help you every step of the way" I shook my head, utterly confused, he grabbed my shoulders and shook me, "why are you still refusing? Is it because of Dylan, you think he'll grow to love you? Wake up Ariana"
"Unbind me, I want to leave right now"
"First, I need you to answer my question" I eyed him suspiciously but nodded my consent, "the locket you're wearing was sealed by me and your mom, and the seal can only be opened when you have sex with your soulmate, but I could see that it's cracked already, I wonder why?"
I averted my eyes from his searching gaze as I felt my face redden, whatever it was that he was talking about, I couldn't understand it but I know I have had sex with someone, not out of love though, and not a pleasant experience either but still, It was sex, but how can I bring myself to explain it to him, "Ariana, I'm asking you something" I gazed at him as he awaits my answer, looking tensed, I shrugged, "I have no idea what you're talking about" he arched his brow, "can you let me go now?" I asked raising my bounded hands to him, he stood up and shifted away, "not now, I am going to prove to you that Dylan doesn't care about you, let's see if he will even be bothered by your disappearance and come running to the rescue"
I was flabbergasted by his words and I knew it showed on my expression, " how could you just abduct me and expect him to come running immediately"
"That's because he's a werewolf and werewolves follows scent" I rolled my eyes at his insistence on that werewolf issue,
"Let's see if he finds you, I know he won't bother because you're just a slave to him".
Eric's POV
I walked out of the room, leaving a squirming Ariana, "I don't care what you think, just let me go" I simply ignored her shouts as I walked out of the door, I know deep inside, she was also curious whether Dylan would come looking for her, she was just blinded by her love and I would have to break her trust for Dylan, I had already made provision for that as Dylan would never be able to find her as a result of my spell, he would never be able to perceive her scent and when her trust is broken, she would permit me to seal again the cracked locket and with that, she would finally forget all about Dylan as she would have only coldness inside of her, that way she would be able to carry out her revenge and even kill Dylan if the need arises and I, Eric, will be with her every step of the way.
