Ariana's POV
I was tensed and pacing where Dylan had left me, I was so damn worried, I hope he's okay, what was taking him so long to return? Maybe I should go to him, I was just trying on what to do when a big black creature jumped out from nowhere and came right at me, I screamed as its powerful foot hit my head and clawed at my face, my head swarm and I watched as the ground rushed to meet my face, I could feel blood trickle down from the side of my face, the wolf placed it's powerful paw on my chest, ready to divide me into two, I knew that this was it for me, so this is how I would die? Being torn into pieces by a wolf that I don't even know where it came from, "Dylan, I hope this horrible wolf has not seen him, oh God! Nothing should happen to him, please save him, even if I die here, I'll be happy to know that he's safe and sound" I could feel the wolf's claw on my chest, a sharp pain erupted, I was badly injured but I wasn't even thinking of myself, I was thinking of Dylan, he mustn't come back when this wolf is still here or he'll kill him too, I had to somehow warn him, I had to lead the wolf from here, I rolled to my side and struggled to my feet, I felt really dizzy and I blinked twice to clear my head, the wolf suddenly launched at my foot and carried me like a ragdoll, it was about throwing me away when suddenly another wolf, this one was a silver wolf, for some reason it's coloring got me intrigued, it came out from the bush and dived right at the black wolf, the black wolf quickly let go of me but it did it with such force that I feel at a foot or two from it, banging my head on the foot of a tree. I heard the silver wolf growl in anger as he attacked the black wolf, was it really protecting me? My head was in so much pain and my vision was already blurring, once again, my mind flashed to Dylan, I wondered where he was right now, I hope he is safe wherever he is, I stared at the silver wolf as it fought off the black, it turned to look at me for a moment before it turned back to finish off the black wolf who was already wounded, but at that moment I felt like we were connected, those eyes oddly looked familiar, like I've seen them somewhere, they looked like Dylan's, but that is impossible, this is an animal and Dylan is a human being, I must be going crazy from the kick the black wolf had given me on my head, I closed my eyes wanting to shut out the pains and gave in to unconsciousness.
Dylan's POV
I had run to where I left Ariana, praying I'm not late, I could feel the adrenalin pumping through me as I raced the woods, I got to her just in time to see the black wolf about to launch a finishing attack on her, the stench of blood filled my nose, she was bleeding, that means she must be badly injured, my stomach clenched at the sight of her blood, I howled in anger as I pounced right on the black, what a coward, running away from me to attack a lady. It was no match for me as I quickly finished it off and ran towards Ariana who had drifted into unconsciousness, "hang in there, I'm here, I'll take care of you" I whispered frantically trying to calm my racing heart, I just might be too late to save her, I would never forgive myself if anything bad happened to her, I just can't live with another death in my conscience, I quickly carried her In my arms, there must be a cabin somewhere around here, I need to quickly find one to clean her wound. I had walked a few miles before I sighted one than goodness, I quickly pushed the door open, it was covered with dust but I don't care for that right now, I need to examine her injuries, I quickly peeled off her clothes and to my dismay, the wound looked worst than I thought, a werewolf attacked on a human is always fatal, I felt like killing that black all over again, an Idea suddenly struck me, she could heal faster if I give her my blood to drink, yeah! that's exactly what I'll do, I'll just have to deal with having an injury for twenty-four hours, by tomorrow it will be all gone, werewolves have the special ability to heal by themselves, I quickly brought out a penknife and made a cut on my palm, I watched as blood oozed out, I quickly pressed her chin and parted her lips, letting the blood drop into her mouth, she opened her eyes, staring at me blankly, she whispered my name and sighed as her eyes closed, once more drifting into unconsciousness.
Ariana's POV
I dreamt that same dream, I was running with that faceless woman, my heart pounding in fearfully, I don't know why we were running but I felt it was a matter of life and death, we have to leave before they get to us, I also didn't know why they were after us, suddenly she fell and I ran back to help her, "no, you have to leave Ariana, please run, leave me alone" she screamed at me, I could see the shadow of the beast that was after us, "go Ariana"
"Mom no, I can't leave you like this"
"Take this locket, promise me you'll always have it with you, wear it and never remove it" she placed a locket in my hand just as the beast pounced on her, tears, dripping down my cheeks, ", run Ariana, you have to leave, you have to survive" she gasped out in pain as blood spill from her mouth
"No, mom!" I screamed as I jerked and opened my eyes, once again I was drenched in my own sweat, I looked around, I was in a strange environment, my hands went to the locket around my neck and I stared at it, it was the exact same necklace I've seen in my dream, "mom" I addressed her as mom in my dream. My thoughts were interrupted when the door suddenly opened and Dylan walked inside, he quickly walked to me when he saw I was awake, his eyes lightened with relief, "thank goodness you're awake"
I gazed at him, earlier I had seen him bleeding through his palm, he must be badly injured, I nodded as concern washed through me, I grabbed his hands and stared in amazement, there was no injury, how is that possible? I had seen the blood earlier, it couldn't have healed this fast? I gazed into his eyes, for the first time, I was a little bit scared, "who exactly are you?" I whispered.
