Dylan's POV
My wolf sense kicked in when the car went nose dive down the cliff, I could hear the rushing of water beneath us and knew we were about to plunge into the water very soon, that gave me some measure of relief, there's a chance of us surviving. I wasn't afraid of dying but for some reason I don't want any harm to come to Ariana, ironic that I had saved her from death earlier only to see another death threat facing her, I shook off the thought, I would die before I let anything happen to her, I frowned at the fierceness of my vow, what was wrong with me? I'll have time to analyze that later, for now, I have to get her to safety. I turned to her, her gaze was horror-filled and she was chanting some words, when I turned to hear what she was saying, I was stunned to hear her chanting " I don't wanna die..." I almost laughed out loud despite our horrible situation, how ironic that earlier she had wanted to kill herself and I saved her,now she was chanting I don't wanna die when she suddenly has the opportunity to die, I gripped her shoulders and shook her hard,"no one is dying okay" she stared at me as if seeing me for the first time, her expression glazed as a year dropped from the corner of her eyes, "just listen to me carefully and do exactly as I say okay" she nodded and I sighed, "can you swim" I watched as she looked confused for a moment before staring at me, "I....I.... don't know, I don't remember" she answered just as the car suddenly hit the water, she jumped as she screamed, hitting the window by her side, tears running down her cheeks, the car was sinking fast, I have to act fast or we'll both drown, I kicked her side if the window and the glass shattered as water flood into the car, I gestured for her to go out but she was staring at me,her gaze filled with fear as she shook her head, gosh, we'll both end up dying down here if she keeps this up, I couldn't say anything to her because trying to talk will only make me end up swallowing a lot of water, I tried to push her out but she suddenly grabbed my hands and clung to it, "what the...." Breathing was getting difficult since we had no oxygen, we'll need to come up for air soon, I can go for an hour because of my beast strength but how about her, she can't last for another thirty minutes, I gestured for her to go that I'll be right behind her and succeeded in pushing her through the window just as the car sank further, I hit the side of my window so I could get out but it didn't budge, the car was rapidly going under, I growled in annoyance as I hit it once more and the door removed from its hinges and I was finally free as I began swimming upwards, I needed to suck in air into my lungs. Was Ariana up already, I couldn't see her, perhaps she could swim and had gone out of the water, I finally reached up and I sucked in a lung full of air, I gazed around but couldn't see Ariana either, we were no longer surrounded by cliff, we were in an open air and I could see a dry land close by, I gaze around the open water once more, "Ariana" I screamed frantically, what if she actually couldn't swim, that means she must still be in the water, I dived back into the water in search for her, if only she was a werewolf, I would have used the mind link to ask her where she was and she would have replied, that is if she was still conscious, my heart was beating rapidly as I searched the water for her, I won't come up for air until I've found her, I vowed as I tuned into my sixth Sense of hearing,I could hear every sound in the water, the sound of running water, of fish doing their chase as they swam in the water and then I heard it, a flutter of heartbeat, it was faint but it was definitely the sound of a heartbeat, I couldn't hear any breathing, I immediately started swimming towards the sound , my heart did a painful twist, hang in there Ariana, I'm coming. I saw her floating in the water unconscious, no, no, no, she got to be alright, I felt a bit hopeful when I heard her faint heartbeat and weak pulse, she won't survive a minute later if I delayed further, I quickly carried her unconscious form and headed for the surface. I swam towards the dry land I had seen earlier with Ariana in my arms, I swam with the speed of a werewolf, I dropped her form on the ground and pressed her chest, her breast was soft as it came in contact with my palm, "what the heck are you thinking in such critical situation" I frowned at my thoughts as I gave her chest three hard press and out my lips on her, damn, her lips were so soft and I fought the urge to insert my tongue into her mouth to taste it, I blew sir into her lungs and on the fourth try, she jerked, spurting out water before slowly opening her eyes.
Ariana's POV
I was drowning, I felt myself slipping as I fought the darkness that was trying to overwhelm me but was no match for the exhaustion that kicked in, so this was how I was going to die, I would die here and no one would miss me, everyone would be happy that the thorn in their flesh has been removed, I wondered if Dylan would miss his slave, he had only just saved me earlier today, I let myself give in to the blackness that was trying to overwhelm me, suddenly I felt myself being lifted in a pair of powerful arms, I felt safe in those arms, it was too good to be in those arms and I felt like staying there forever. My name was being screamed over and over again but I was too weak to reply or open my eyes, suddenly I was on a dry, hard ground and hands pressing against my chest, I felt warmth wherever those hands touched, something cold and hard touched my lips sending sweet sensations down my spine, "oh Lord!
if this is heaven then I'm glad to be dead" suddenly I felt a weight I haven't noticed lifted off my chest, I coughed a d opened my eyes to the most beautiful pair of eyes I have ever seen staring at me with concern, "Dylan" I whispered and I suddenly found myself in his warm embrace, was he really that concerned about me? "Thank goodness you're okay" he whispered into my ears and my heartfelt warmed, it suddenly hit me that I owe this man my life, he had saved my life twice in the same day, he tightened his hold on me and I couldn't breathe, "Dylan..." I called out to him and immediately regretted it as his arms fell off from around me, "are you feeling okay?" He asked, his tone guarded, I stared into his eyes and couldn't read anything either as his emotions were carefully masked, I sighed inwardly, I guessed it was time to go back to master and servant relationship, I nodded at his question and he stood up from where he was kneeling in front of me and gazed around, he offered his hands to me, "come on, let's find our way out from this jungle" he started leading the way and I followed weakly from behind him.
